As Covid-19 wreaked havoc on the world in 2020, Fox decided to offer a reheated second serving of “Hell’s Kitchen All Stars,” the show’s 17th season that originally premiered in September 2017, over the summer. While some fans might be satisfied with such leftovers, many are wondering when a fresh competition will arrive. Here is what we know so far.
Both Seasons 19 and 20 were likely shot back to back
Fox handed out a double renewal for a 19th and 20th season in February 2019. Unlike past years when the reality cooking show was filmed in Los Angeles, it has moved to the Hell’s Kitchen restaurant at Caesars Palace on the Las Vegas strip that opened its doors in 2018. At an event celebrating the Sin City eatery in 2019, Ramsay toasted the VIP-filled crowd and hinted how the change of venue would redefine the cooking challenge. “We’re very much looking forward to having the show here,...

Are you hungry to witness a rage-filled chef throw platters of undercooked filet mignons and raw scallops against the wall to express his anger at cowering inept cooks? Yeah, me too. So you might be thrilled to hear that Fox’s “Hell’s Kitchen” is up and running again starting this Tuesday, May 26, at 8 p.m. Et/Pt. Here is your Twitter invite:

Alas, Fox is serving leftovers here as it is a repeat showing of Season 17’s All Stars edition when 16 former contestants from past seasons were pitted against one another. Michelle Tribble, who previously finished in third place in Season 14, won the competition on February 2, 2018.
Perhaps you are starving to watch Gordon Ramsay berate chefs for their lack of cooking skills and foolish mistakes and don’t mind watching a warmed-over rerun.

“Hell’s Kitchen” fans are in for a bitter disappointment. While the last two seasons of the Fox reality competition series have started on the last Friday in September, the upcoming 19th edition is not on the schedule. This Gordon Ramsay fronted series finished filming season 19 last spring so it is hard to figure out why Fox has not slotted it into the fall line-up.
We may well have to wait until the new year before we see season 19. The last time that “Hell’s Kitchen” was delayed so long was back in 2016 when season 15 started on January 15. But that scheduling made sense given that season 14 hadn’t finished until early June 2015. That worked out to a six-month hiatus for the show.

Are you hungry to witness a rage-filled chef throw platters of undercooked filet mignons and raw scallops against the wall to express his anger at cowering inept cooks? Yeah, me too. With September just around the corner, it got me thinking about when the premiere of the 19th season of Fox’s “Hell’s Kitchen” might commence.
Last year, the 18th season kicked off on Sept. 28 and ended on Feb. 8 this year. The theme was “Rookies vs. Veterans,” and the winner was Ariel Fox, who found redemption after coming in third place on Season 6. Fox turned down the job of being executive chef of Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen restaurant at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. Instead, she went back to her job as concept executive chef for Dos Caminos, which has five restaurants in and around Manhattan.

That devilish Gordon Ramsay revealed some news at an event celebrating the one-year anniversary of the opening of his Hell’s Kitchen restaurant at Caesars Palace on the Las Vegas strip.
The big headline? The chef’s just-renewed Fox cooking competition, “Hell’s Kitchen,” will now film the show’s 19th and 20th seasons in Sin City at Ramsay’s popular eaterie instead of in Los Angeles.
After toasting the VIP-filled crowd, Ramsay said, “We’re very much looking forward to having the show here. We are going to be creative with the challenges, the rewards, the punishments and how to present the show in this atmosphere.” He vowed to promote his restaurant, but also the city itself. “We’ll use a cross-section of Vegas in the show.”

There was much discussion among “Hell’s Kitchen” regulars after Friday’s finale about whether Ariel Fox (seen above), a veteran contestant who came in third place on Season 6, should have taken a backseat to rookie Mia Castro, whose inventive dishes were just slightly better than Fox’s menu. Over 100 commenters felt the need to further vent on the outcome. In our post-showdown poll, Ariel was declared the rightful winner because she made good food and truly excelled as a leader in the kitchen by 45% of voters. Another 18%, who admired Mia’s culinary creativity in challenges, still thought the rookie lacked people skills and often lost focus during dinner services.
Only 7% thought it was a bad sign when Gordon Ramsay sampled Ariel’s final dishes and found all of them had flaws. In the end, she took his advice and quickly fixed the problems. Still, 24% thought Mia won the challenge...

Ariel Fox didn’t quite live up to her surname on the just-finished 18th season (click here to see the finale recap) of Fox’s reality cooking competition show, “Hell’s Kitchen.” As a returning chef to the series hosted by hot-headed Gordon Ramsay, whose concept this round began as “Rookies vs. Veterans” before shifting gears, the third-place finisher on Season 6 used her previous experience to avoid any conflict with other contestants and let her often high-scoring dishes do the talking. Ariel avoided the crazy. Instead, her stealthy game was almost turtle-like, slow and steady, until it was worth stepping up and sticking her neck out.
Ariel says this time she was more self-aware that there were cameras on everyone 24-7. “When you do anything like this and you progress in your career, with crew members and team members who report to you and look up to you, it is...

A two-hour finale for Hell’s Kitchen meant there was no room on the Fox schedule for perennial Friday ratings champion Last Man Standing.
That left the field wide open for CBS, and Big Brother: Celebrity Edition was the winner, scoring a 1.0/5 in demographics and a total of 4.40 million viewers to top the night. That was actually down a tenth from its Thursday night, but enough to carry the evening. Blue Bloods also dipped, scoring a 0.7/4 at 10 Pm, but luring in an impressive 7.53 million total viewers.
The Fox Hell’s Kitchen finale saw season six returnee Ariel Fox vindicated by taking home the crown, coming back older, wiser and tastier to beat the season 18 competition. The two-hour show had an 0.8/4 and 3.19 total audience, holding its gains from last week over the broadcast’s duration.
NBC saw Blindspot (0.5/3 and 3.49 milliion) and Dateline ( 0.5/3 and 2.79 million) holding serve on their scores, while The Blacklist hit 0.6/3 and 4.2 million,...

Cooking skills vs. people skills. That is essentially what it came down to during the “Hell’s Kitchen” finale on February 8, 2019, when Ariel Fox, a veteran who came in third on Season 6, won the 18th season of Fox’s reality cooking show staple. She regularly earned high scores for her dishes in reward challenges. But, more importantly, she was the one chef who was never considered for elimination among the 16. Her lone major sin? When Ariel accidentally served raw fish to Tilly, Ramsay’s daughter, during her Sweet 16 celebration on episode 8, causing her team to be kicked out of the kitchen.
But her friendly rival, Mia Castro — aka the “Challenge Queen” — won all but two of the rewards challenges all season. But she wanted to establish early on that just because she is pretty, has a great smile and is petite, she is not to be messed with. That caused...

Last week: The final four – Motto, Ariel Fox (right above), Mia Castro (left above) and Bret Hauser – competed in a tableside showdown and also took turns overseeing dinner service and running the pass while on the lookout for sabotages. Ariel was smart enough to stand out during the reward challenge by being the only one not using shrimp. Instead, she made pork dumplings with pozole and impressed all concerned. When it came to service, all four did themselves proud. But that was before Motto decided to nominate himself for elimination and leave the competition behind. His reason: He wants to return to Baton Rouge and use his newfound skills to elevate the city’s culinary scene.

Well, the New York Post officially lifted the lid on which chefs are going head to head on the two-hour Season 18 finale airing on Friday on Fox at 8 p.m. Et/Pt. Of course, it is veteran Ariel Fox and rookie Mia Castro, who have pretty much have been dominating the competition for the past couple of weeks on the reality series. The paper touted the fact that a pair of local chefs — Mia lives in the East Village, Ariel in Brooklyn — are the final competitors. It is the sixth time that two women were the final two and the 13th time a female chef will be the winner.
