Selected 7th overall by the Los Angeles Clippers in the 1996 NBA Draft out of the University of Memphis. Has also played for the Atlanta Hawks (1999), Memphis Grizzlies (2001, 2006), and Sacramento Kings (2008).
Survived by his two daughters and four sons.
Lorenzen Wright was the seventh overall pick in the 1996 NBA draft out of the University of Memphis when he was selected by the Los Angeles Clippers. He remained in the NBA for thirteen seasons until 2009. During his career, he played for the following teams: Los Angeles Clippers (1996-1999); Atlanta Hawks (1999-2001); Memphis Grizzlies (2001-2006); Atlanta Hawks (2006-2008); Sacramento Kings (2008); Cleveland Cavaliers (2008-2009). He had only been retired one year at the time of his July 18, 2010 murder by Sherra Wright (the mastermind) and Billy Ray Turner (the gunman).
