Almost eleven months have gone by since we heard that Julie Bowen – who played the character Claire Dunphy on 250 episodes of the ABC sitcom Modern Family – had signed on to star in the coming-of-age Satanic Panic thriller series Hysteria!, which is set up at the Peacock streaming service. Emjay Anthony (Physical), Chiara Aurelia (Cruel Summer), Kezii Curtis (Charm City Kings), Nikki Hahn (Magnum P.I.), and Anna Camp of the Pitch Perfect films joined the show soon after Bowen. Then genre icon Bruce Campbell signed on to play small town police chief Dandridge. Things have been quiet for a while, but now Deadline has revealed the names of several more Hysteria! cast members. They are Garret Dillahunt (The Last House on the Left remake), Nolan North (Pretty Little Liars), Elijah Richardson (Fantasy Football), Milly Shapiro (Hereditary), Allison Scagliotti (Warehouse 13), and Jessica Treska (Alex & Me). All of the newly announced cast...

Production on the Peacock series Hysteria! starring Julie Bowen and Anna Camp has shut down production in Atlanta for the remainder of the WGA writers strike.
Deadline understands the WGA picket line was respected by Teamsters and IATSE early Monday morning, the 35th day of the strike.
While production shutdowns have become a regular occurrence in New York and Los Angeles as a result of picketing by striking writers, this is believed to be the first series to suspend filming in Atlanta. WGA East and West members are organizing in key cities outside of New York City and Los Angeles to help set up pickets with local members where productions have expanded in recent years, including Atlanta and Albuquerque.
Created by Matthew Scott Kane who writes and executive produces and co-showruns alongside David A. Goodman, former WGA President who is a co-chair of the negotiating committee. Hysteria! explores America’s...

Bruce Campbell is no stranger to dealing with the supernatural, so it’s no surprise that Variety has reported that he’s joined the cast of Hysteria!, Peacock’s satanic panic series.
Per the official description, “When a beloved varsity quarterback disappears during the ‘Satanic Panic’ of the late 1980s, a struggling high school heavy metal band of outcasts realize they can capitalize on the town’s sudden interest in the occult by building a reputation as a Satanic metal band, until a bizarre series of murders, kidnappings, and reported ‘supernatural activity’ triggers a leather-studded witch hunt that leads directly back to them.” Sounds… interesting. Bruce Campbell will play Chief Dandridge in Hysteria!, who is described as “a small-town police chief whose understanding of his community is put to the test after a disturbing series of murders, disappearances, and unexplained phenomena.”

When you're remaking a movie, there's always a hesitation about referring to the source material for fear it might influence your own performance too much. For the young cast of Disney Channel's remake of Adventures in Babysitting, there was an even greater question at hand: Had any of them ever even heard of the '80s classic? There's no denying that the cast members, whose ages range between 14 to 23, weren't even alive when the Elizabeth Shue-starring film was released in 1987 and, as they tell it, most of them hadn't seen a second of footage until they earned their part in the remake. E! News caught up with stars Sabrina Carpenter, Sofia Carson, Max Gecowets, Nikki Hahn, and Kevin Quinn...

The adventure continues. After spending years in development, an updated remake of Adventures in Babysitting is set to make its debut on Disney Channel later this summer. The movie—inspired by the 1987 comedy of the same name starring Elisabeth Shue, Penelope Anne Miller, Keith Coogan and Maia Brewton—begins when Lola (Descendants' Sofia Carson) and Jenny (Girl Meets World's Sabrina Carpenter) accidentally switch phones and Lola accepts a babysitting job on Jenny's behalf. Neither of them realizes that it's not all that easy to keep a watchful eye on the four Cooper children (Nikki Hahn, Mallory James Mahoney, Madison Horcher and Jet Jurgensmeyer). In fact, one of the kids goes...

After last week’s spectacular episode, it’s impossible to think that American Horror Story: Asylum can recapture that lightning in a bottle. The major reveal at the end (that apparently everybody except me saw coming) was a huge twist that helped tighten the focus for the rest of the season. In case you couldn’t guess from the episode’s title, the latest episode gives a little background to good old Bloody Face, helping to uncover just why he’s so freaking crazy.
Despite the amazing set up it was given from last week, The Origins of Monstrosity doesn’t quite live up to the preceding episode. That’s not to say it’s a bad episode, especially since I’ve yet to see a bad outing from this series. It just serves as a winding down period with a little more spoken exposition than the past few episodes.

How far is too far on "American Horror Story: Asylum"? We haven't reached the point just yet, but the way things are heading we might find out soon enough.
