One Man, One Mission, One Choice. If you haven't already seen this trailer, it might be worth checking out. Capsule is an indie film about Britain's first manned mission to space. It's not actually a true story (as they never sent anyone into space at that time), so this technically counts as "sci-fi", but considering it plays very much like a real thriller that's probably how it should be categorized. Edmund Kingsley plays Guy Taylor, the first British pilot ever sent up into space in 1959, but his capsule malfunctions and he starts to suffer from hypoxia (oxygen deprivation). The cast includes Lisa Greenwood, David Wayman, Nigel Barber and Michael Koltes. This looks like a nice contained thriller, there's just something off about it. See below. Mira Sorvino has joined the cast of Gee Malik Linton's thriller "Daughter of God" alongside Keanu Reeves, Ana de Armas, Christopher McDonald, Big Daddy Kane, Michael Rispoli and Laura Gomez. Filming is now underway in New York.
The story revolves around the aftermath of a Latina woman witnessesing a miracle and a police detective (Reeves) searching for the truth behind his partner's death. [Source: Variety]

Olivia Holt ("Kickin' It") has joined the cast of faith-based drama "Same Kind Of Different As Me" at Paramount Pictures.

• Kevin Bacon is in talks for Jungle. The thriller is based on the true story of Yossi Ghinsberg, who penned a memoir about his dangerous trip to the Amazon jungle where he was accompanied by two friends and a mysterious guide. If the deal goes through, Bacon will play the Austrian guide, Karl. Greg McLean, whom Bacon worked with on 6 Miranda Drive, will direct. Justin Monjo adapted Ghinsberg's 2005 book for the screen. The film will begin shooting early next year in Australia and Colombia. In addition to the film, Ghinsberg's story also inspired the one-hour Discovery Channel docu-drama series, I Shouldn't Be Alive.

There won't be a third season of The Hour, the BBC Two TV series. The show aired on BBC America here in the States.
Created by Abi Morgan, The Hour is set in the late 1950's and revolves around a BBC current affairs news show. The dramatic series stars Ben Whishaw, Dominic West, Romola Garai, Anton Lesser, Julian Rhind-Tutt, Joshua McGuire, Lisa Greenwood, Anna Chancellor, Kelly-Jayne Adams. Burn Gorman, Juliet Stevenson, Tim Pigott-Smith, Andrew Scott and Oona Chaplin.
While The Hour was a success in its first season, viewership dropped significantly in season two. There are just 12 episodes total and the finale aired on BBC America on January 2nd.
A representative for BBC Two said, "We loved the show but have to make hard choices to bring new shows through."
