- Cynthia Martin was born and raised in California, and received her doctorate of law degree from Pepperdine School of Law on an academic scholarship. She also attended the Bush Gorbachev Summit in Moscow as an international law student. Cynthia is a member of the United States Supreme Court Bar, was sworn in by the full Bench, and is one of the few attorneys licensed to argue cases before the U.S. Supreme Court. She also holds a bachelor's degree in economics and an associate's degree in liberal arts.
When Cynthia took the Law School Admissions Test (LSAT), she scored in the top 3% nationwide and was offered several scholarships. She accepted a scholarship to study law at Moscow's Institute of Law and Economics in Russia. It was while she was in Moscow that she attended the Bush/Gorbachev Summit. Shortly after that, Cynthia accepted a scholarship to attend Pepperdine School of Law in Malibu. Upon graduation, and while working as an attorney, Cynthia was introduced to a group of actors who decided to form the production company, Renegade Film Artists. Each member of the company had something to bring to the table. One was a writer, another a director, another a cinematographer, etc. Cynthia was the company business and production executive. The company produced many short and feature films.
Cynthia then relocated back to Santa Cruz, and while she was establishing her law practice, spent time as an network TV broadcast producer and on-air TV news reporter for NBC News. She landed interviews with notables including Oliver North, Clint Eastwood, Jay Leno, and Lt. Governor Garamendi.
Cynthia then returned to Southern California.
