- Casting Department
Born to Dominican immigrant parents Dorcas grew up with a very
traditional yet spicy background. Her mother was a social worker and
her father a mechanic by day and musician by night. This led to a very
busy household full of socializing. The 3rd youngest of 4, Dorcas grew
up performing for guests as well as her siblings. Her love of
performance extended beyond the home and soon performing became an
extra curricular addiction. She started performing in church and in
theatre, basically any where she could express herself. Even along the
many family road trips, Dorcas found ways to create stories and keep
her family amused. This love of entertaining led Dorcas to pursue the
arts in middle and high school by joining band, choir and drama. She
later studied Theatre in college as well as film production and knew
this was where she was meant to be. She later performed Improv for
several years in Atlanta and booked several commercials and indie films
before making the move to LA. She describes herself as an Actress
passionate about the art of story telling.
