UK screen support body the Film & Television Charity, formerly known as as the Cinema and Television Benevolent Fund, has unveiled the 12 emerging names to receive the second round of the 2018 John Brabourne Awards.
The list is of comprised of writers, producers, directors, a designer and a marketing and distribution Ma student.
Recipients include writer-director Scout Stuart, whose debut screenplay Mud was selected for the low-budget film initiative iFeatures in 2014; and TV drama writer-director Claire Elizabeth Alberie, whose Paper Dolls was selected for the Bafta Rocliffe Forum List 2017.

Interactive project Get Over It wins Pixel Pitch cash prize.
Power to the Pixel has revealed that Get Over It has won the Arte International Prize for the Pixel Pitch.
The project developed by writer, director and producer Paula Schargorodsky and creative producer Rabia Williams, was awarded the $8,200 (€6,000) prize at the 7th Cross-Media Forum (Oct 15-18), run in association with the 57th BFI London Film Festival.
It saw off competition from seven other international projects that were presented before leading figures and experts from cross-media, financing and distribution backgrounds.
Get Over It is described as “a humorous, participative, ceremonial interactive experience and intimate transmedia project,” where participants and collaborating artists share their stories of disappointments in love which will become a collective mechanical installation.
The idea for the interactive website and mechanical installation, originated from the feature documentary Girl Behind the Camera.

Film London has revealed the 12 projects participating in Audience on Demand, the training and mentorship programme addressing the changing face of feature film distribution.
Details of the successful film-makers and projects were unveiled at The Future of Independent Distribution event at the Edinburgh International Film Festival, which featured a case study on Film London Microwave’s Borrowed Time, currently preparing for a self funded direct distribution UK release on August 16.
Audience on Demand, funded by Creative Skillset and run in partnership with Creative England, is a three-month pilot programme that mixes classroom and one-on-one sessions alongside dedicated mentoring from top industry experts.

Power to the Pixel has selected more than 30 participants for its cross-media workshop.
A total of 16 cross-media projects from across Europe have been chosen to take part in the annual Pixel Lab, taking place in Wallonia in Belgium at the end of the month.
Now in its fourth year, it offers media professionals a six-day workshop on how to create, produce and distribute cross-media stories that can engage audiences as well as monetise.
Participants include 16 international producers showcasing projects that incorporate film, gaming, mobile, publishing, live events, interactive, TV and online as well as 15 media professionals from across the industry.
Participants attending with a project include award-winning producers Holly Elson from Hark Pictures Ltd with Moondog: The Viking of 6th Avenue (UK), Agitrop’s Martichka Bozhilova with The Cars We Drove Into Capitalism (Bulgaria) and Robert Cibis from OVALfilm GmbH with Pop the Glock! (Germany).
Each project producer will be partnered with a participant not bringing a project...
