Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and raised between the US and Mexico,
her school year was in Michigan, and her summers spent all over the coast of
Mexico with her parents and two siblings. Reyna Diana fell into video
editing at the age of 17 when her high school took note of her
enthusiasm in her shoots and her ability to help her peers with their
video projects. She began charging them for the work. Her editing soon
led to applying her musical background to integrate original peaces to
her projects. Her ambition for the arts soon led to working behind the
scenes for theater productions in the Mendel Center in Lake Michigan
College; among others. Reyna began working for the theater department
where she became fascinated with sound. She worked crew for Productions
such as: "All My Sons," "Midsummer Nights Dream", "The Fantastics", "A
Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum", "Rent", "A Bad Year for
Tomatoes", "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying", "Aida",
and "Lord of the Dance". Her inspiration lead her to Chicago where she
began studying film at Columbia College Chicago. Her first semester in
Chicago her film career began. Short films including
Happy Thoughts (2008),
Desertion (2008),
Marlin (2009),
The Booby Trap (2009),
Formosa Betrayed (2009), and
Polish Bar (2010). She recently
appeared as a single mother on a pilot "America's Most Wanted Deadbeats
(2009).
Diana graduated The Potter's House High School in June 2004. Diana's favorite sports include swimming, snorkeling, golf, soccer and skiing. She plays the piano at home, and taught herself to play the guitar. She also knits and reads thriller, action, and romance novels in her spare time. Diana lives in Chicago and constantly travels often to visit her family.
