Thanks to the viral ways of Twitter, Taco Bell may soon be fluent in fries.
The Mexican chain is a place where fast food junkies come alive: Kit Kats can turn into quesadillas and fans can wear their pride, literally. But, in the eyes of former Blink 182 band member Mark Hoppus, they are still missing one thing: French fries.
It all started when the bassist took to twitter to say Taco Bell is better than Del Taco, but Del Taco has fries, making it a “real Sophie’s Choice of fast food.”

A blazing Black Crowes redo. An overnight transformation. Rehearsal-room drama. Robyn unplugged. Hmm. Night 3 of The Voice’s Battle Rounds must’ve been pretty decent, especially for what you’ve mentioned is a subpar Season 12, because by the end of it, even Adam Levine’s Gwen Stefani-blond ‘do was starting to grow on me. Let’s review Monday’s performances, shall we, then you can play favorites in the comments.

Amy Schumer and Bill Hader in TrainwreckPhoto: Universal Pictures With Sundance just wrapping up and Berlin starting up in a few days, we are now immersed in the year-long barrage of film festivals. One such festival in South By Southwest. A few weeks back they announced the first seven films of their program, including the opening night film Brand: A Second Coming. Today, they have revealed the rest of the features to be shown in March (except for the midnight program), and some of it has me very excited. The bigger titles announced do not do much for me. Paul Feig's Spy, starring Melissa McCarthy, and the Will Ferrell/Kevin Hart starrer Get Hard leave a lot to be desired in terms of anticipation, as does a work in progress cut of Judd Apatow's latest film Trainwreck. I'm guessing an Apatow work in progress is probably around three and a half hours.

What did we learn from the first trailer for Josh Trank's Fantastic Four reboot? We've been taking a look...
After months of dogged secrecy, apparently hesitant studio bosses and allegedly extensive reshoots (although that's something that's been firmly denied), the first teaser trailer for the Fantastic Four reboot has finally hit screens. But what does it tell us about the film?
We've been breaking it down, and here's what we found...
Ultimate Four
It was already fairly obvious from the casting choices, but this version of the Fantastic Four has a lot in common with their Ultimate-universe counterparts, who were pitched considerably younger than the traditional version. Pipe-smoking, white-templed Reed Richards is replaced by pimply undergrad Reed Richards, and like follows like with the other characters.
Interestingly, the footage suggests that the senior Dr. Franklin Storm – Sue and Johnny's father – might be part of the project that gets the Four into space,...

The Originals' supernatural splinter-groups finally have a common enemy, and the show is all the better for its focus...
This review contains spoilers.
2.10 Gonna Set Your Flag On Fire
The Originals lost a major player in its mid-season finale, but thankfully that loss came after nine episodes of establishing a complete family of Mikaelson vampires that all feel fleshed out, sympathetic and interesting. So, while Claire Holt will be taking an extended (if not permanent) hiatus from the role of Rebekah’s face, we’re still left with a horde of brilliant characters, the new Rebekah included.
After a really weird voiceover recap of where everyone’s loyalties currently lie, Gonna Set Your Flag On Fire gets right down to business readdressing the inter-species politics of New Orleans. That’s always been this show’s main concern when you dig through the family rivalries and love triangles, so it...

It's Christmas time and there's a need to be afraid... Here's Christine's review of a particularly bonkers festive episode of Grimm...
This review contains spoilers.
4.7 The Grimm Who Stole Christmas
You know that old saying, “nutty as a fruitcake”? Well that could easily be applied to this week’s Grimm (and if you’ve seen the episode, this works on a couple of different levels.)
While last year we had the Wesen version of Bad Santa in Krampus, The Grimm Who Stole Christmas is this year’s nod to the festive season.
The mystery centred on three little goblins who wreaked havoc on the festivities. However, they turn out not to be Wesen but pubescent boys – awful smell and all – which are afflicted by a rare genetic, seasonal disorder that makes them go as bonkers as if they’ve consumed an family-sized tin of Quality Street.

While that bullet train has yet to reach high-speed, we did see a return of a little of the humour that’s been missing from the series so far this season, and yes, even some plot development.
We pick up where last week’s episode left off, with Monroe and Rosalee arriving at Nick and Juliette’s with Elizabeth, who has figured out how Nick “can get his Grimm back.” There’s only one problem: In order to completely reverse the spell, Juliette must take the potion and then sleep with Nick... as Adalind!

In the wake of the Doctor Doom news, we look at what we know about the Fantastic Four reboot so far...

They may make it out of the library, but with a new threat revealing itself around every hallway, is there enough time and resources for at least one...

Dread Central's been covering indie filmmaker Sonny Fernandez's Diy projects almost as long as we've been in business, and he's back with a new trailer and stills from his latest, Lake Villa Vamps.
This particular film is noteworthy as it marks Sonny and the gang at Down Twisted Studios' ninth production and first animated feature. It follows a group of bloodthirsty, murderous vampires as they are tasked to save the world from the mighty Brethren, a werewolf empire intent on taking over.
Full of blood, action, drama, and romance, Lake Villa Vamps was written and completely animated by Dt founder Sonny Fernandez and has all the makings of the usual Down Twisted film. It promises to take viewers places they've never gone before, including a whole new world.
With voice work from Dt veterans Cody Tergesen, Sam Ova, and Edgardo Osorio and introducing a whole new slew of talent including Matthew Brooks,...

Batgirl has undergone several transformations over the years, with the most recent redo (brought on by The New 52) being met with much fanfare as it saw the return of the original Batgirl, Barbara Gordon, to the role. Also having Gail Simone writing the book doesn’t hurt either. While most were excited about the pairing and what it would bring, this move came right after the previous creative team had solidified Stephanie Brown as a worthy successor. Since The New 52, she has yet to resurface. While I was ecstatic to have Babara back, there was a small raincloud above the whole thing. DC had finally gotten me to care about Stephanie and get into the book's overall light-hearted tone, and then they yank the rug out from under me.

As we reported last week, there is a new creative team in town, and with them comes a new direction.

After last night's final performances, Team Usher's Josh Kaufman was declared the winner of season 6 of The Voice, beating out Team Adam Levine's Christina Grimmie and Team Blake Shelton's Jake Worthington.
At the top of the show, Carson Daly announced that there was a glitch with the iTunes charts. Noticably missing from the Top 10 yesterday was Josh Kaufman’s cover of Adele’s “Set Fire to the Rain.” To ensure fairness, all of the iTunes downloads that were supposed to count as votes for the finalists were taken out of the final tally – meaning only online voting, calls, etc. counted as votes. According to Carson, taking the iTunes downloads out of the final tally did not affect the outcome. In other news, Adam publicly announced that he would sign Christina Grimmie to his record label after the show.

Season three's penultimate episode is suffused with foreboding about Grimm's upcoming nuptials. Here's Christine's review...
Review
This review contains spoilers.
3.21 The Inheritance
This penultimate episode of the season in many ways lays the foundation for the big finale, moving the characters into a position where they’ll be exposed to varying degrees of burns from the inevitable fireworks at Monroe and Rosalee’s wedding.
This was evident in Rosalee’s feeling of foreboding regarding the upcoming nuptials. In a moment of pre-wedding stress she tells Monroe “I have the feeling something awful is going to happen.” The somewhat heavy-handed method of delivery seems dropped in to tell us what we already know; it’s all going to kick off over the wedding cake. Thank god for Monroe’s light-hearted comeback to the warning: “That’s the spirit.”
Adalind is now properly back to season one Hexenbitch. In fact, the...

Less animation, plenty of reality, and another two-hour comedy block reduced — those are some of the quick take-aways from Fox’s 2014 fall schedule announcement.

Canadian series Bitten takes the concept of the female werewolf into new and exciting territory, argues Caroline...
While female witches, vampires and ghosts have been present in popular culture for decades, there’s one mythical creature that’s so far largely been a men-only territory: werewolves. Inherently primal, beastly and aggressive, the popular perception of the lycanthrope is immediately incompatible with stereotypical perceptions of femininity and, until recently, that's meant that seeing female werewolves on television, film and in literature has been a rare occurrence.
Canadian series Bitten, which recently aired on Space in Canada and on SyFy in the Us, set out to do something different, then, by not just featuring a female werewolf, but also putting her front and centre as the inarguable protagonist of the story. 'The Voice' Recap: Blind Auditions Part 5 Attract Standouts Josh Kaufman, Ddendyl And Ceirra Mickens
In the fifth installment of The Voice’s blind auditions, Shakira came out on top, picking up two fabulous female artists, Ddendyl and Cierra Mickens. Coaches Shakira, Usher, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton continued their fight to be the most ridiculous, while the singers came out ready to sing their hearts out.
First up was Kat Perkins, 33, a cowgirl from a small town who has transformed from country crooner to rocker chic. Her band, Scarlet Haze, even opened for Bon Jovi, but when she broke up with her husband, who was the drummer of the band, Kat became a nanny. Kat auditioned with Fleetwood Mac’s “Gold Dust Woman,” earning her a three-chair turn-around and standing ovation courtesy of Usher, Shakira and Adam. Kat performed with a slow burn, building up her voice until the end, when she finally got Adam and Shakira to turn. In the end, Adam won...

It’s that wonderful, frightful, cool and creepy time of year again, when everything including the leaves on the trees are dying and our taste buds are craving sugary sweets and pies made from the guts of our jack-o-lanterns. It’s October, which means Halloween is nearly upon us! Get you costumes completed, your home haunts constructed and your candy collected for trick’r treaters, because you have to make time to watch some of the scariest movies this time of year.
In an effort to assist you in your cinematic scare-fest, we’ve come up with a list of the scariest movies to watch on Halloween… with one caveat. We have excluded virtually all “slasher” flicks. Why? Well, let’s just say we all know them, we all love them on some level, but really… don’t we all want something more in our scary movies? In honor of...

Paulina Rubio (Code name: “Still No Idea Who That Is”) finally got her Big Moment on The X Factor tonight. The occupant of the Britney Spears Chair of English Manglage and Barely Formed Thoughts has shone especially dim during her Season 3 tenure — particularly sitting alongside the high-wattage wit and wisdom of Kelly Rowland and the scrappy sparkle of Demi Lovato.
Unfortunately for Pow-leena (as host Mario Lopez prefers to overemphasize it), the Big Moment probably didn’t resemble what she and her management team had envisioned when she hopped aboard Fox’s second-most-popular reality singing competition (out of two).

The stock price is up nearly 6% pre-market after the company released a Q1 report that showed strong results in most key metrics. AMC Networks generated net income of $61.5M, +42.5% vs the period last year, on revenues of nearly $382M, +17.1%. The top line was well ahead of the $366M that analysts projected. And earnings at 85 cents a share topped forecasts for 82 cents. The core National Networks operation led with way with revenues +18.2% to $359.5M and operating income +29.5% to $141M. The company says that ad sales were up 26.9% to $164M “due to strong demand for our original programming, primarily at AMC” which airs The Walking Dead. Affiliate fees rose 11.7% to $196M. The international business, which is much smaller and includes IFC Films, was a different story: Revenues fell 0.2% to $26.3M with an operating loss that increased by $2M to $15M. AMC says that the operation was hurt by a revenue decline in the independent film operation.

Anyone familiar with Ian McShane’s Golden Globe winning role as the profanity-spewing, hard drinking Al Swearengen on HBO’s "Deadwood" shouldn't be remotely surprised that intense, gritty characters have been Ian McShane’s bread and butter for quite some time. Surely his knack for bringing swarthy, murderous types to life has aided him in being cast as the embittered dwarf king Beith in "Snow White and the Huntsman" and his latest curmudgeonly role as King Brahmwell in "Jack the Giant Slayer."
However, a careful look at McShane's decades-long career reveals a few nuggets of evidence that it isn't quite all malevolence and danger behind those beady eyes. Could it be possible that all of these latter-day seething character roles are actually hiding the longing, romantic heart of a true ladies' man?
Perhaps the answer lies not in the man’s movies, but in his music. Make no mistake, the...

When Smash Season 2 premieres on February 5, viewers will see new faces, a new Broadway production and nary a scary around Julia's neck.
These were just a few of the changes teased yesterday by new showrunner Josh Safran at the Television Critics Association winter press tour.
Attempting to satiate fans from last year, while also bringing in those who quit on the critically-lambasted series, Safran explained to reporters in attendance:
"I don't think it's changed that much. Stuff from last year that you loved is still there, and maybe stuff people thought went off on tangents we've looked at [and] sort of tried to find a way to put back together.
"But it still is the same Smash, maybe bigger, [with] more music [and] a little bit younger in regards to some of our new cast members."

The internet has been abuzz about a vlog featuring Two and a Half Men's Angus T. Jones calling his TV series "filth" and asking viewers to stop watching it. When I first saw the headlines, I was ready to cheer Jones, but it turns out he's offended by the show from a religious conservative perspective (he seems to be one of those people who thinks any entertainment that offends them comes directly from Hell's Ministry of Propaganda), and he made his plea on a vlog with a homophobic past.

Welcome back, once again, to TV Fanatic's Gossip Girl Round Table discussion! Below, our panelists break down all aspects of last night's Gossip Girl Season 6 premiere, "Gone Maybe Gone."
In our Q&A session, Tvf CEO Eric Hochberger (Gossip Guy), editor Steve Marsi (Mister Meester) and staff members Courtney Morrison, Christina Tran and Leigh Raines share their opinions.
Weigh in with your take on the following topics after reading ours!
-------------------------------
1. Favorite Gossip Girl quote from the episode?
Leigh: It's not possible to pick, so I'm going with all of the Georgina and Blair banter. Their rapport was hilarious.
Courtney: "Do that again!" I was thinking the same thing just watching the scene! Close second goes to Chuck's speech to Blair in the limo.
Eric: Of course NBC would give Lola her own show. They'll probably push back Community a little more for it.
Christina: Dan to S: “Wisconsin?...

Editor's Note: We were blown away by the internet explosion that was the Ultimate Slash Madness Tourney, and it occurred to us that a regular weekly column on the subject of slash might be a great fit for AfterElton. The name for such a column was easy: The Shipping News. The only catch was who to write it? We realized the only way a column would appeal to slash fans was if the person writing it really knew what they were talking about. So we put out an informal request for a "slash expert" and we were inundated with great responses and suggestions. We then asked interested folks to submit a sample column, hoping to narrow it down to a single candidate. Fat chance. Even after reluctantly eliminating a dozen impressive submissions, we we're still left with five great people we wanted to work with.
