I started my professional career in Detroit, MI as a drummer in the music industry at the early age of 15. This is where I got hooked on the magic of sound imagery. I attended The Recording Institute of Detroit, where I received my certification in basic and advanced skills in multi-track engineering
I became a partner in three multitrack recording studios in Detroit by the age of 23. From there, I worked on hundreds of artist-produced projects and with artists produced by major record labels.
My transition into working with visuals began when I was hired by a video post facility to mix sound for their commercials. I have been working as a sound mixer in the Detroit market on commercials since 1980, and then broke into feature films in 2001 as a production sound mixer. At the turn of the market in Detroit, I then moved to Atlanta in 2016. I pride myself on having a solid and reliable crew base, along with extensive location and stage experience.
