Roy Halladay‘s former teammates are remembering the late baseball pro with a series of poignant social media posts after Halladay died in a plane crash on Tuesday.
Those who worked closest with Halladay — and many in the sport who simply looked up to him — are remembering the impact the retired pitcher had on the league during his 15 years as a baseball star.
“Gone too soon my friend!!! Blessed to have shared the field with you as a teammate, competitor, friend and more importantly a brother,” Shane Victorino, who played alongside Halladay for the Philadelphia Phillies, tweeted on Tuesday.

The baseball legend delivered a picture perfect game-winning hit on Thursday.
Hollywood couldn't have written a better send-off for Derek Jeter.
The baseball legend played his final career game at home in Yankee Stadium on Thursday night, delivering both drama and triumph. Frankly, it's a must-see. If you missed it live, watch a replay in ETonline's video above.
Pics: Celebs and Athletes Really Do Make Hot Power Couples
After his team squandered a three-run lead, Jeter took the field during the bottom of the ninth inning in his final home at-bat of his career. With the teams all tied up, Jeter hit a walk-off single to win the game 6-5.
Now this is the stuff that films are made of! In fact, we'd be willing to bet that plenty of screenwriters are typing away on their own versions of Jeter: The Movie as we speak.
And this isn't the only emotional send-off Jeter has received during his final...

The World Series is over and the Boston Red Sox are champions, so the time has come to shave the rally beards. Mvp David "Big Papi" Ortiz and Shane Victorino did just that, for charity on Monday (November 3).
The men shaved at the Gillette World Shaving Headquarters, after the company donated $100,000 to The One Fund, which benefits the victims of the Boston Marathon bombing.
Outside of Ortiz keeping his goatee for an appearance on "The Late Show with David Letterman," then men were shaved clean of their facial hair. "He looks like a big grape," Ortiz says of Victorino. "We wanted everyone to know it wasn't just us we were playing for in the world championship," he told the crowd that gathered to watch the shave-off, "it was the city [of Boston]."

Hey batter batter! The World Series is kicking off on Oct. 23, and though the Cardinals and Red Sox will be settling the score on the field, the thing we’re more concerned about is which team looks sexier in their uniforms — and out of them!
Let’s get this out of the way — baseball can be boring. The games can take forever, the scores can be painfully low, but it does have one saving grace — the players, and those tight, form-fitting pants they wear. So with the Boston Red Sox squaring off against the St. Louis Cardinals in the 2013 World Series (starting on Oct. 23), we’ve put together a master list of the players you should be looking out for.

Boston Strong! The Sox struck October magic once again, as they defeated the Detroit Tigers 5-2 in game six of the American League Championship Series on Oct. 19 to take the series and the Al pennant. Now just one team stands between them and a championship.
With one swing of the bat, the Boston Red Sox propelled themselves ahead of the Detroit Tigers and into the 2013 World Series on Oct. 19. And after claiming the American League title in six games, the rugged Boston team is just one series away from winning the whole thing.
Boston Red Sox Win The Alcs
It wasn’t looking good for the Red Sox on Oct. 19. Down 2-1 in the seventh inning, facing Max Scherzer, the league’s best pitcher, the Red Sox managed to load the bases with one out, when Shane Victorino stepped up to the plate.
With an 0-2 count against him, Shane...

It has been an embarrassingly long time since I have enjoyed and episode of Hawaii Five-0 (TV) as much as I loved this one. It was like coming home to a nice glass of wine and a good friend who'd been gone a long while. The case was interesting and yet, didn't detract from the shining bromance and team ohana feel that has been lacking for most of this season. There was a lot of hype this week about the stunt casting of Apolo Ohno and Phillie's player Shane Victorino, but it didn't detract from the great feel of the show. And honestly, Victorino was blink-and-you-miss-him, but his fans got to see him on a prime time show. The facts are these: a woman on a team building retreat detours from her group and runs into a scantily clad Na Koa warrior who's been cut to shreds by something with wicked teeth.
