"Two things in life are priceless and life without them is worthless -- music and motherly love. Both evolve from divine intervention and it's always a bliss to experience such beauty. Film: "Damaal Dumeel"; Cast: Vaibhav Reddy, Remya Nambeesan, Kota Srinivasa Rao and Sayaji Shinde; Director: Shree Kumar; Rating: ***
Close in the footsteps of dark comedies such as "Soodhu Kavvum" and "Moodar Koodam", comes "Damaal Dumeel", which unlike its contemporaries, may not be exceptional but still has what it takes to be applauded for the effort.
The film is based on a series of accidents that pave the way to humour at regular intervals. Each of these accidents is interconnected and the film explains why one accident leads to another and another and so on until there's one last accident in the climax.
The series of accidents start when a box full of money is wrongly delivered to Moneykandan (our hero who.

Chennai, March 12: After starring in a host of multi-starrers like "Saroja", "Goa" and "Mankatha", actor Vaibhav Reddy, who will soon be seen in a lead role in Tamil dark comedy "Damaal Dumeel", says he's willing to take up negative characters provided there's a scope for performing.
"I don't mind doing any performance-oriented role. It could also be a villain's role. I'm keen to do different films and roles instead of doing the regular commercial ones. That's why I've become choosy and I have been avoiding many films," Vaibhav told Ians.
Even as a villain, he doesn't want to play stereotypical roles.

Chennai, July 12: Telugu director Sekhar Kammula knows what he wants from his actors and often cans scenes in two takes, says southern actor Vaibhav Reddy, who has teamed up with the National award-winning filmmaker for upcoming Tamil-Telugu thriller "Anaamika", a remake of Bollywood film "Kahaani".
"He will not shoot scenes in more than two takes. He tells actors what he exactly wants before and after every scene. This allows the actors not to waste time from going through same scenes over and over again," Vaibhav told Ians.
Time flies when one is working with Sekhar, he added.
"I can't believe it's nearly 45 days.
