ABC’s legendary sudser “General Hospital” is looking to defend its crown at the Daytime Emmys, landing 19 nominations this year — the most of any program — as the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced contenders for the landmark 50th annual Daytime Emmy Awards.
Last year, “General Hospital” was the big winner with five awards — including best daytime drama — as the telecast returned to a live, in-person event. This time out, NATAS first revealed multiple categories Tuesday night via various entertainment shows, and it looked like CBS’ “The Young and the Restless” — also in the middle of its 50th anniversary celebration — had taken an early lead.
But after all was tallied, CBS’ “The Bold and the Beautiful” was actually next in line, with 14 nods, followed by “The Young and the Restless” (13), NBC’s “Days of Our Lives” (11) and the most-honored non-serial, the syndicated “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” also with 11.

The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) — the East Coast counterpart to the Los Angeles-based Television Academy — is shuffling its leadership, which includes switching who oversees production of its most visible event, the Daytime Emmy Awards.
Under the reorganization, one executive will now oversee the production of all of NATAS' key awards shows, including the Daytime Emmys, which will be separate from the administration of those awards. Jimmy Fallon and puppies: What more do you even need? Well, how about football, too? On Wednesday's The Tonight Show, Fallon called upon a snuggly pack of yellow Labrador retrievers to look into the crystal (okay, metal) chow bowl and determine who will win the 2015 college championship between the Ohio State Buckeyes and Oregon Ducks. As ever, the starting line-up consisted of Brad Johnson, Kyle McAdams, Mary Kennedy, Ted Mooney, Roger Blain, Lisa Armstrong and Gary Frick, Jr.Frick was especially frisky on the bench, but it was Blain who charged out to the Ohio State kibble - shortly before urinating on it.

In case you had ever wondered why David Beckham was walking around with two perfectly spherical bruises on his chest, news comes today that Victoria Beckham had her breast implants removed. In a new interview with Vogue UK, Beckham reveals the change to reporter Lisa Armstrong, who writes of the fashionista, “No French manicures. No torpedo bazookas, either. ‘Gone,’ she announces.” Victoria is reportedly seeking a less processed appearance, rather than the “two grapefruits bolted to a mannequin and spray-painted orange” look she’s been rocking for the past decade. Beckham had previously side-stepped implant rumors, even going to far as describing herself as “completely natural, except for my fingernails and I have a bit of help with my hair and a bit of a San Tropez going on.” We don’t know if “natural” is really the world for it if her fake tan alone was approaching Chernobyl-levels of toxicity.

“With a cat!” added Ant. “We’ve had chats with Simon where we’ve thought something was funny and he didn’t. But he has a weird sense of humour. He watches cartoons in the bath and he likes robots, sweets and roller-skating. Basically he’s a nine-year-old child with millions of quid.”
The duo also revealed that neither of their partners will be joining them down under this month. Both Ant’s wife make-up artist Lisa Armstrong, 34, and Dec’s girlfriend, Sports presenter Georgie Thompson,...
