Kin Shriner was once a staple on General Hospital.
He’s been a staple in the soap world for nearly five decades and has held the role of Scotty Baldwin for as long as viewers can remember.
While he did some soap-hopping, Port Charles is Scotty Baldwin’s home.
The actor tapered off in recent years, though he has been seen on occasion. Once his relationship with Liesl (Kathleen Gati) fizzled, Gh viewers began seeing less of him.
These days, he’s paired up with Lucy (Lynn Herring) after a romp in a haystack led to her breakup with Martin (Michael E. Knight). Scotty is busy trying to help Lucy keep Deception afloat after she sabotaged her working relationship with Sasha (Sofia Mattson).
While it isn’t shocking when Kin takes an extended absence from the role of Scotty, a recent post from the actor made viewers question whether his...

Fans of General Hospital are wondering if Emmy-winning star Michael E. Knight‘s time in Port Charles may be coming to a close. In an explosive episode of the daytime soap, Knight’s Martin Gray quits town after he breaks things off with his romantic interest, Lucy Coe (Lynn Harring), who then gets back together with her ex-lover Scotty Baldwin. Many fans speculate that Knight could be exiting the show for good. However, fear not. Barbara Jean “Bobbie” Spencer’s family and friends are gathering to pay tribute to the late, beloved mother, friend, and head nurse on today and tomorrow’s episodes of General Hospital. Jacklyn Zeman, Bobbie’s portrayer, a four-time Daytime Emmy-nominee, who passed away last May, was thrust into the storyline forefront shortly after making her debut on the show in late 1977. The former Florida-based prostitute had returned to Port Charles, hoping to make a new life for herself as a nursing student. Bobbie was determined to snare law student Scotty Baldwin (Kin Shriner) away from his then-girlfriend Laura Webber (Genie Francis), who was a teenager on parole for an accidental killing — even if that meant shipping Laura off to reform school! In time, Bobbie reformed, becoming an upstanding citizen, wife, mother, friend, and nurse along the way. She matured but never lost her zest for life or the love she felt for her family.

Wally Campo, the Roger Corman regular who did his best Det. Joe Friday impersonation as Sgt. Joe Fink — and also served as the narrator — in the original The Little Shop of Horrors, has died. He was 99.
Campo died Jan. 14 of natural causes in Studio City, his son, musician Tony Campodonico, told The Hollywood Reporter.
Campo also played a goofball in Monte Hellman‘s Beast From Haunted Cave (1959) and appeared for director Burt Topper in Hell Squad (1958), Tank Commandos (1959) — where he was top-billed — and the Victor Buono-starring The Strangler (1964).
Campo showed up in the Corman-directed Machine-Gun Kelly (1958), Ski Troop Attack (1960) and Tales of Terror (1962) and in the Corman-produced Devil’s Angels (1967). Many of his movies were made at the filmmaker’s low-budget American International Pictures.
His acting credits also included Edward Dmytryk’s Warlock (1959), the Vincent Price-starring Master of the World (1961) and Shock Corridor (1963), directed by Sam Fuller.

HBO’s “Mare of Easttown” and Netflix’s “The Queen’s Gambit” may be the frontrunners for Best Limited Series but attention must be paid to HBO’s brilliantly and timely “I May Destroy You.” A BAFTA, Film Independent Spirit Award, Gotham and Peabody Award-winner, ‘’I May Destroy You” is nominated for eight Emmys including three for multi-hyphenate Michaela Cole.
Just as the #MeToo movement has brought sexual assault into the forefront of our consciousness, “I May Destroy You” is a fearless dive into the aftermath of rape. The series follows Arabella, a young British writer, who instead of finishing her novel, goes out on London town with friends. She wakes up in the morning with a bloody gash on her head and a busted iPhone with flashes of memories of the night before. She soon realizes that her drink had been spiked and she was sexually assaulted. We follow and...

Just as there have been advances in the field of medicine over the past 55 years that have resulted in people living longer, so, too, have there been changes and improvements at “General Hospital” that have kept the long-running soap opera thriving in today’s crowded TV landscape.
“Soap operas are an original American art form that’s been copied into other forms of television, but our show is a drama that also has elements of comedy and action-adventure,” says executive producer Frank Valentini. “It’s rare for a show to encompass all of that, while at the core being a show about love, family and relationships. We tell stories from all perspectives. We’ve held onto all these elements and that is how we maintain our place in the television landscape.”
Valentini notes that the most significant differences between television in 1963 when “General Hospital” first debuted and today is the “increased competition” and tightening budget.
