Born in Austin, Texas, Anne and her family moved to Fort Worth, Texas six days after her birth, later moving to Nacogdoches, Texas where Anne spent her youth. Anne is a citizen of both the United States and Italy.
In 1990, when Anne was age 17, she moved to East Lansing Michigan to attend Michigan State University, studying in the Apparel and Textiles department. Anne remained in the Lansing area, working as a freelance theatrical costume designer until 1999 when she moved to Aberdeen, Scotland.
At the University of Aberdeen, Anne earned a Bachelor of Laws in Scots Law and a Master of Laws in Commercial International Law. Anne also spent a year studying at St. Mary's School of Law in San Antonio, Texas, and six weeks studying NAFTA and Mexican Constitutional Law at the Universidad de Guanajuato in Guanajuato, Mexico.
Whilst studying law, Anne wrote several feature length screen plays for fun, one of which was shortlisted in 2007 for the BAFTA Rocliffe New Writing Forum. In 2007 Anne attended a short course in filmmaking at the MET Film School at the famous Ealing Studios in London, England, and in 2009 she attended a short course at the London Film Academy.
Anne began producing short films in 2007 in Edinburgh, Scotland and in 2008 became part of the runners pool at BBC Scotland picking up valuable experience before moving to Austin, Texas in 2009. In 2010 Anne edited a feature length film.
In early 2012 Anne moved to Los Angeles, California. Anne produced several short films in Southern California before moving to New York in 2013.
In April 2012 Anne started writing film reviews for extrafriends.co.uk, a UK based web resource for supporting and background actors, until 2014. In 2013 Anne joined Shriekfest Horror/SciFi Film Festival as a Judge for one year.

- Anne's 1982 Volkswagen Scirocco makes an appearance in many of her films.
- As a Director of Photography, Anne often uses low key lighting in combination with bright colours typically chosen by Anne for their symbolic meanings. Alternatively Anne is also known for using a high contrast, black and white noir style.
- After watching Snoopy Come Home (1972) as a small child, according to her mother, Anne was so taken in by the story, she cried for two days.
- Anne consistently states that her favourite actor of all times is Peter Cushing. As a director, she frequently asks actors to study his performance is Star Wars. She reveres Cushing for his professionalism as much as she does for his considerable talent.
- After watching Star Wars in 1977, five year old Anne made an 8mm fan film with her siblings. The film is believed to be lost.
- Anne hates to fly having gotten into the habit of using trains whilst living in the UK. Despite the long journeys, Anne often opts for the train when traveling in the US.
- Anne has a great love of classic cars that she inherited from her grandfather on her mother's side who was an automotive mechanic. Cars that she has owned include a 1961 Cadillac, a 1973 Dodge Charger, and a 1982 Volkswagen Scirocco. Despite her enthusiasm for cars, Anne prefers public transportation for just getting around.
