Bruce Springsteen has given an update on the bout of peptic ulcer disease that forced him to postpone his 2023 tour dates into next year.
The Boss resumed his From My Home to Yours SiriusXM radio show “with a bitch of a bellyache.” Joined by musicians Mike Wilson, Mike Domanski, Donnie Powell, and Craig Caprioni, the artist mostly kept things light by discussing subjects like the artists he’d put on a Mount Rushmore of rock bands, but he did address the elephant in the room: his health issues.
“This belly thing, despite my ability to laugh at it, has been a monster and is still, unfortunately, rocking my internal world,” Springsteen said (via Relix). “But it’s better this week than it was last. I want to thank everybody for their support and well wishes.”
In September, Springsteen revealed that he would continue to receive treatment for peptic ulcer disease...

Bruce Springsteen took to his SiriusXM E Street Radio show From My Home To Yours, where he reconnected with some old friends and revealed his Mount Rushmore of rock bands.
In the podcast series’ 30th episode, Springsteen spoke with veteran musicians from the Freehold, New Jersey scene, including Mike Wilson, Mike Domanski, and Donnie Powell, members of the mid-’60s Freehold band the Legends, and Craig Caprioni, singer for the Rogues, Springsteen’s very first band.
At one point Springsteen posed the question, “After The Beatles, second favorite band? And we can’t count The Rolling Stones.”
After a short deliberation, Springsteen shared his list of favorite bands, saying, “It’s Beatles, Stones, Animals, that’s how my playlist goes, you know. But any Dave Clark 5 fans?” He later praised DC5 for making “great records” before segueing to the band’s 1964 single “Any Way You Want It.” Listen to the clip below.

Seattle – Dalton Trumbo was one of the biggest names in screenwriting who for the longest time wasn’t allowed to show his name on the screen. He won two Oscars, but wasn’t allowed to step onto the stage.
At the peak of his career in 1947, he was brought before the House Un-American Activities Committee to testify about communists in Hollywood films. Like other screenwriters before the Huac, he refused to answer the questions. Their decision to not name names got them blacklisted in the industry and sent to prison. After nearly a year behind bars, Dalton secretly returned to screenwriting. He used fake names and front writers on various project. It wasn’t till 1960 when his name accompanied Exodus and Spartacus that the blacklist was broken.
