Aaron Irons is a filmmaker, musician and programmer/developer living in Nashville, Tennessee. His first feature film, CHEST, was released in January 2022. He is the owner of IFKY Films and AI Multimedia company. He has played synthesizers and various instruments in various local Nashville bands including The Non-Commissioned Officers, All We Seabees, Jasmin Kaset, Scale Model, Vermicious K'nids and under the name iron/fox for solo performance and music. CHEST is Aaron's first work as writer/director/producer and was self-funded and partially completed over the summer of 2019, and on hold for all of 2020 due to the pandemic and completed production in November 2021. Aaron also edited, scored and did all post-production work on the film.
Aaron is married to his partner Ashley Adkins Irons who also worked as costumer and assistant director during production of CHEST. They live in Nashville with two cats and lots of plants. Also both are highly active in the caving community and members of the National Speleological Society and enjoy spending hours underground and rappelling into giant pits.
Over the lockdown portion of the pandemic, Aaron also formed IFKY Synths and builds his own line of synthesizers and modules.
