- Born in France, to parents who came from Morocco.
- Started martial arts training at the age of 14. Started with Aikido, and later took up Karate in which he has a black belt. Also trained in tricking with stunt group Cascade.
- During the shoot of Ninja shadow of a tear, actor Scott Adkins injured his back forcing production to use Brahim Achabbakhe to double Adkins for some of his trademark aerial kicks.
- Used to be a phone salesman in Paris France before beginning his movie career.
- Often works with action director, fight choreographer Tim Man.
- Replaced Kris Van damme for the part of Nardo on the movie Pound of flesh.
