Lothar Binding
1965 Graduated from Sandershausen elementary school; 1965 to 1968 apprenticeship as a high-voltage electrician, attended Kassel vocational school for electrical engineering, 1969 technical school entrance qualification, 1972 general university entrance qualification at Hessenkolleg Kassel. Studied mathematics, physics and philosophy in Tübingen and Heidelberg, graduated in 1981. To finance his studies, he worked as an electrician and set up and ran a self-administered youth education center and an antiquarian record shop. From 1979 to 1982, he worked as a research assistant and taught mathematics to first-year students. 1972 to 1973 civilian service.
Heavy current electrician. Mathematician. 1982 to 1986 technical employee and 1987 to 1998 scientific employee in the computer center of the University of Heidelberg with the task emphasis planning, structure and enterprise of local networks and high-speed networks for data remote processing; teacher with the occupation advanced training plant of the DGB for electrical and installation technology as well as electronics.
