Jody is a 2006 graduate of the University of California - Los Angeles'
MFA in Screenwriting Program. Jody wrote for the ground breaking 1990s
TV series "Inside / Outside The Beltway."
He directed "In The Closet," the horror hit seen at festivals
world-wide. It was nominated for the 2008 IRIS Prize. He wrote the 2009
scifi feature "Heatwave" ("City on Fire" in some markets) for Regent
Entertainment. In 2011, he co-produced the award-winning feature film
"Judas Kiss."
In 2010, he was one of the founding members of Bent-Con, the Los
Angeles LGBT Genre convention that bills itself as "Comic-Con, Only
Gayer." He became Vice-President of Bent-Con in 2012.
He recently directed his first feature, the mystery-thriller "The Dark
Place", which he also wrote. "The Dark Place" will premiere in 2014.
A former therapist and social worker, some days he can't tell the
difference between Hollywood and the psych units he used to visit.
