- Goalie taken 54th overall by the Detroit Red Wings in the 1991 NHL draft. Has played for the Red Wings (1993-2001; 2006-present), New York Islanders (2001-2003), and St. Louis Blues (2003-2006). Member of the 1997, 1998 and 2008 Stanley Cup Champion Red Wings.

- Named to the 1997 NHL All-Star Game, but was unable to attend because of an injury.
- On December 27, 2010, in a game against the Colorado Avalanche at Pepsi Center, Osgood earned his 400th career victory. He became just the 10th goaltender in NHL history to reach this milestone.
- He is one of only seven to have scored by shooting the puck directly into the opponent's net (not an "own goal"), on March 6, 1996 versus the Hartford Whalers.
