Rm of BTS has announced a second full-length solo effort, titled Right Place, Wrong Person. The album will arrive on May 24th.
The follow-up to 2022’s Indigo is set to focus on “moments of feeling like a stranger, out of place” and will contain 11 tracks, all of which bear lyrical contributions from the BTS leader, songwriter, and rapper.
Rm wrote and recorded the project prior to beginning his compulsory period in the South Korean military — while his bandmate Jin is set to finish his enlistment in June of 2024, Rm won’t complete his time until June 2025. Until then, this project “marks his return after one year and five months” and “reveals an added layer of his unique artistic depth.” Recently, BTS member j-hope unveiled a docuseries and accompanying mixtape titled Hope on the Street, which had also been recorded prior to enlisting.

In 2018, the Rose made their U.S. concert debut performing for about 300 students at Northwestern University’s Korean American Students Conference. This year, on August 3 – exactly six years after the Korean indie-rock band officially launched their career with their single “Sorry” – the quartet will headline at Lollapalooza’s Bacardi stage in Chicago.
“We’re very excited about Lollapalooza,” group leader, vocalist, and guitarist Woosung says in a Zoom interview. “We were very surprised and happy that one of our biggest festival dates is on our anniversary. All of this is very thrilling.

So!YoON!, the leader and frontperson of Korean-based band Se So Neon, has unveiled her new title track, “Smoke Sprite.” The collaboration with rapper and BTS leader Rm arrives alongside So!YoON!’s sophomore album, Episode1: Love. Stream the song below.
The track is anchored by So!YoON!’s characteristic rock sound. It’s driven by heavy guitar and balanced out by a smooth verse from the BTS member. Ahead of the full release of Episode1: Love, So!YoON! shared pre-release singles “Canada” and “Bad.” While the latter was a more lo-fi offering, “Smoke Sprite” kicks things into heavier territory.
“Stuck with you in your dreams/ Tell me more, I could die,” she sings on the chorus. The music video sees the two dressed in black, trading off against a series of gritty backdrops. Rm kicks off his verse with, “Honey, what you doin’ in my bed?/ Baby,...

One year ago, Tablo wasn’t sure if there would be another Epik High album. By that point, the Korean hip-hop trio – which also includes co-lyricist Mithra Jin and co-producer DJ Tukutz – had already been together for 21 years, and were concentrating on the release of Epik High Is Here下 (Part 2), the second half of their 10th studio album. Rumors circulated about the group’s possible disbandment, fueled by the members’ own ambiguous comments.
And then, a month ago, Tablo released a humorous video announcing Epik High’s 2023 European and North American tour,...

Rm of the Grammy-nominated group BTS just released his highly anticipated solo album, Indigo. The leader of the global group is the second band member to release a solo album. J-hope released his album, Jack in the Box, in July of this year.
Just hours after its release, Indigo went number one on iTunes in close to 90 countries. That number’s expected to rapidly increase.
Indigo is described by Rm as being a record of his 20s and a sincere introduction of who he truly is. Each track portrays his outspoken opinions, prevailing thoughts, and reminiscence of the past and instant feelings.
Rm is no stranger to transcending boundaries, and his 10-track album includes a collection of collaborations with musicians in various genres. Rm teamed up with Grammy winner Erykah Badu for the track “Yun.” The R&b and Neo Soul singer lends her soulful voice over a breezy R&b beat.

Heavy is the head that wears the crown. Rm, the leader of BTS, seems to know this truth all too well. As the seven-member group skyrocketed to the world stage, the 28-year-old singer, songwriter, and producer found himself becoming not only as his band’s de facto spokesperson due to his English fluency, but also an ambassador for his home country of South Korea and Asians across the diaspora. Though praised for his moving speeches at the United Nations General Assembly (thrice!) and the White House, he’s spoken about...
