"Your ascent is stable." Time for a short film that's just a little bit trippy. The YouTube sci-fi channel Dust has launched a short film online titled On/Off, a French sci-fi film from writer/director Thierry Lorenzi. This has been playing at film festivals since 2013 and has just now debuted online for all to watch, which is a bit of a lengthy delay but it's a good short nonetheless. Carole Brana stars as Meredith, an astronaut who is plagued by mysterious voice in her head. She will face its paradoxical condition in order to stay connected to his humanity. Also starring Arben Bajraktaraj. This is clever and fascinating, and has a realistic feel to it. Though the reveal is a bit derivative, something we've seen plenty of times before. Give it a watch anyway. Thanks to Dust for premiering this. Short description: "Obsessed by a mysterious voice message, astronaut...

#9. Carole Brana - Red Nights Unless you caught this stunning beauty in her first acting gig, toplining Jean-Claude Brisseau's À l'aventure (2008), then Carole Brana is still a relative unknown...in the acting world at least. I suppose she is one of the many models making the transition to acting and her status under the radar status is most likely not going to change anytime soon, but if she manages to tie down several supporting roles that hopefully don't throw her to the lions like her part in Julien Carbon and Laurent Courtiaud's Red Nights. A pretty face she definitely is – and one could say it was hard to stomach the sadism upon her character --pic above isn't even from the film. Euro directors looking for a future muse, a femme fatale or a pretty girl going against the type might want to check her out.

Hope to watch it with a sold crowd and hungry buyers looking for something that can only compliment their slate. In my very short (so far) life, I have seen a lot of things I really didn’t want to. Women who wear purses that look like dead puppies, people who don’t understand that belts keep you from exposing yourself, and leggings paired with tops that don’t cover camel toe are among the things I see every day living in New York City. And yet, all of these things are preferable, nay, more artfully done that Jean-Claude Brisseau’s A l’aventure.
The third film in Brisseau’s trilogy focusing on female sexuality and erotic ecstasy, the film stars Carole Brana as Sandrine, a woman stuck in a sexual rut, so to speak. She meets a taxi driver at a party who verbally introduces her to all new ideas about how sexuality is a prison and bras are meant for support, and a whole bunch more rambling nonsense until she encounters Gregory.
