The Affair is finally drawing to a close.
The Affair Season 5 will chronicle the aftermath of last season’s horrific events and find the characters coming to terms with the consequences of their choices.
They'll make the realization that if they really want to change their futures, they must first face the past.
Helen (Maura Tierney) begins the season involved in an intoxicating new affair with a charismatic movie star (guest star Claes Bang), who offers to give her everything she’s been missing.
Noah (Dominic West) meanwhile has to swallow his pride and his jealousy and step in to take care of his family in her absence.
The Affair Season 5 Premiere Date Revealed - Who's Not Returning?
That's right, as we imagined all along, it appears Noah deeply regrets leaving Helen and their life behind.
He scratched an itch with Alison that tore apart his family and set him on a new trajectory.

If Showtime's "The Affair" actor Jake Siciliano feels a tiny sting every time he goes on set ... it's because the 16-year-old is making a grand less per episode than his 11-year-old co-star. We got a hold of Jake's contract and tweener Jadon Sand's (they play the Solloway bros). Jadon is set to pull in $11K/episode for the first season while elder statesman Jake only gets $10K. But if the show's a hit, Jake will start crushing Jadon.

Michael Douglas goes for the gold.

Ben Kalmen is a man who had it all: pots of money from his high-end auto franchise, a beautiful wife and daughter, a lavish Manhattan apartment, the works. Then, because he's a complete fool, he started throwing it all away. As "Solitary Man" begins, he seems intent on completing that mission.
Kalmen is an off-putting character, an ethically oblivious 60-year-old man who slavers after every woman who wanders within range of his come-ons, the younger the better. The triumph of Michael Douglas' performance in this role is that he plays Kalmen as exactly what he is — a creep — and yet keeps us with him, wondering if this down-bound hustler can possibly come to his senses before he hits bottom — and whether we should even care. As was the case with Jeff Bridges in last year's "Crazy Heart,...
