Ethan Coen has assembled a stellar cast for “Honey Don’t!,” his follow-up to this year’s “Drive-Away Dolls.”
Thirteen new actors have joined the cast of “Honey Don’t!” that already includes stars Chris Evans, Margaret Qualley, and Aubrey Plaza. Rounding out the ensemble are “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” star Charlie Day, “Bros” star and comedian Billy Eichner, and “Never Rarely Sometimes Always” actress Talia Ryder, IndieWire has learned. Also joining the cast are Lera Abova, Jacnier, Gabby Beans, Kristin Connolly, Lena Hall, Don Swayze, Josh Pafchek, Kale Brown, Alexander Carstoiu, and Christin Antidormi.
“Honey Don’t!” is filming now in New Mexico and will be released by Focus Features, which also released “Drive-Away Dolls,” Ethan Coen’s first feature as a solo director separate from his brother Joel Coen. The new film is reportedly set in Bakersfield, California, with Evans playing a cult leader, Qualley portraying a private investigator, and Plaza as a mystery woman.

There’s light at the end of the tunnel for Snowpiercer, after all.
The post-apocalyptic drama on wheels was canceled after three seasons by TNT in January 2023, despite previously scoring a renewal for a fourth — and final — season.
At the time of the cancellation, the entirety of the fourth season was in the can, meaning that an ending had been filmed, but producers would need to find a new outlet to air the episodes.
Truthfully, we lost hope the episodes would see the light of day because it was the latest in a long line of financially driven decisions by Warner Bros. Discovery, which had already scrapped the already-completed Batgirl movie, among other things.
As the weeks turned into months, the chance of Snowpiercer securing a home to air its final-ever episodes looked bleak … until AMC stepped up to the plate this week.

Patience is a virtue, especially if you're a sci-fi fan.
When it comes to genre TV, science fiction and sci-fi adjacent programs are often saved when unceremoniously dumped by a network.
Jericho, Lucifer, The Expanse, and Stargate Sg-1 all found new life after cancellation. Today, Snowpiercer joins that list.
AMC Networks announced today that it has acquired the exclusive U.S. linear and streaming rights to all four seasons of the post-apocalyptic drama series Snowpiercer.
The first three seasons of the critically acclaimed drama will stream on AMC+ later this year, leading up to the series’ season four premiere on AMC and AMC+ in early 2025.
This should come as excellent news for TV Fanatics, as the show always drove discussion and fueled passionate viewers with much to say.

Snowpiercer’s final season will see the light of day after all.
AMC has picked up rights to all four seasons of the post-apocalyptic drama — including the completed but never aired fourth season. The series first aired on TNT, but the Warner Bros. Discovery network canceled the show in January 2023 as it and sister channels TBS and TruTV left the scripted business.
The first three seasons of Snowpiercer will begin streaming on AMC+ later this year, with the final season set to premiere on both AMC and AMC+ in early 2025.
“Snowpiercer is an edge-of-your-seat thrill ride with a loyal fanbase — similar to the passionate fandoms we serve across our biggest franchise series — and a welcome addition to AMC and AMC+,” said Ben Davis, executive vp original programming at AMC Networks and AMC Studios. “We look forward to giving viewers an opportunity to binge the first three seasons later this year,...

The final season of Snowpiercer has finally found a home.
The fourth season of the sci-fi drama will air on AMC after the company acquired the rights to the Tomorrow Studios-produced series. It comes after TNT scrapped the show last year as part of a wider Warner Bros. Discovery content write down strategy.
Deadline revealed in January 2023 that the fourth season wouldn’t air on its original home, as part of a slew of content cuts that also including the axing of Batgirl, Abrams’ HBO drama Demimonde, and TBS series such as The Big D, Chad and Kill The Orange Bear.
It is the latest series that AMC has saved after being scrapped elsewhere; the network bought Captain Nemo series Nautilus after it was cut by Disney+.

It’s early afternoon on a Friday when Darren Criss and Evan Rachel Wood pick up the phone, just five days before they are set to debut as the new Seymour and Audrey in off-Broadway’s Little Shop of Horrors.
Both are on their way to the Westside Theatre stage for their first top-to-bottom run-through, taking over the complicated but beloved characters based on Roger Corman’s 1960 horror comedy and deftly adapted for the stage by theater legends Howard Ashman (book and lyrics) and Alan Menken (music).
Now in the fifth year of the U.S. revival of the dark goings-on of a Skid Row flower shop, several notable names have left their mark on the show: Jonathan Groff, Jeremy Jordan, Conrad Ricamora, Corbin Bleu, Constance Wu, Maude Apatow, Tammy Blanchard and Lena Hall. But none quite like this, as an intentional leap together among friends.

Maude Apatow is revealing details about an onstage accident that she suffered earlier this year during her current run in the Off-Broadway revival of Little Shop of Horrors.
The Euphoria actress recently visited NBC’s Late Night, where she spoke with host Seth Meyers about playing Audrey in the theatrical production. After Meyers asked if she has had to deal with nerves, Apatow said that she sustained a concussion when she accidentally ran into an onstage wall in the middle of a performance.
“I’m always really kind of in a panic the entire time, and I was running offstage, and I guess my eyes were kind of adjusting to the light, and I just ran full speed into the wall,” Apatow said. She explained that she was able to finish performing in the show that evening, although it wasn’t easy: “I swear I was almost crying the rest of the show.

Ciarán Hinds is opening up about the great number of sex scenes the HBO series Game of Thrones had and weighed in on intimacy coordinators on set.
The actor who played the character of Mance Rayder, the King Beyond the Wall, in the medieval fantasy epic was not a fan of the amount of sex the show featured.
“I was rather put off by the amount of sexuality that was going on in it, because it was taking away from the actual political storytelling,” he told The Independent in an interview. “But that’s business, I guess, from their perspective.”
In the same interview, Hinds also talked about intimacy coordinators on the sets of television shows that help ensure actors feel safe shooting a sex scene and facilitating dialogue with the production.
While having a conversation with his actor daughter Aoife Hinds, Hinds said, “I was asking her [about intimacy coordinators] because it seems to me strange.

It seems that TNT is officially out of the original scripted series business. The cable channel has cancelled plans to air the fourth and final season of Snowpiercer. The episodes have been produced and season four will be shopped elsewhere. There's also a possibility that the show's universe will keep chugging along.
A post-apocalyptic science-fiction thriller series, Snowpiercer stars Jennifer Connelly, Daveed Diggs, Sean Bean, Rowan Blanchard, Alison Wright, Mickey Sumner, Iddo Goldberg, Katie McGuinness, Lena Hall, Archie Panjabi, Annalise Basso, Sam Otto, Roberto Urbina, Sheila Vand, Mike O'Malley, Chelsea Harris, and Steven Ogg. Set more than seven years after the world has become a frozen wasteland, the series centers on the remnants of humanity who inhabit a perpetually moving train, Snowpiercer, that circles the globe with hundreds of cars. TNT will not air the fourth and final season of “Snowpiercer,” a rep for the network confirmed to TheWrap on Friday, but it is helping shop the sc-fi series to other networks.
“This was a difficult decision, but our admiration for the talented writers, actors and crew who brought ‘Snowpiercer’s extraordinary post-apocalyptic world to life remains strong,” the network said in a statement.
“We have been working collaboratively with the producers since last year to help the series find a new home where fans can continue to enjoy the compelling story and exceptional visual experience. We look forward to working with them on future projects,” the statement continued.

Sean Bean's comments about intimacy coordinators have been scorched by an expert in the field. In August, the Games of Thrones alum criticized the presence of intimacy coordinators—who are responsible for the safety and well-being of actors during scenes of a sexual nature on set—in an interview with The Sunday Times. "It would inhibit me more because it's drawing attention to things," he said. "Somebody saying, 'Do this, put your hands there, while you touch his thing…'" Bean even pointed to a scene he filmed with Lena Hall on TNT's Snowpiercer where an intimacy coordinator wasn't present, calling it, "A nice scene, quite surreal,...

Emma Thompson supports the use of intimacy coordinators on TV and movie sets, calling them “fantastically important” in a recent interview.
While being interviewed on the Fitzy & Wippa radio show, the Good Luck to You, Leo Grande star was asked about Snowpiercer and Game of Thrones actor Sean Bean’s recent comments on the use of intimacy coordinators on sets, with the interviews noting that the actor had said they can “spoil the spontaneity” of scripted sex scenes.
In response, Thompson — who seemingly had not heard Bean’s comments — said that in her opinion, “intimacy coordinators are fantastically important.”

Sorry Sean Bean, Emma Thompson begs to differ.
In the latest reaction to Bean’s recent controversial remarks criticizing the use of on-set intimacy coordinators, Thompson said on an Australian radio show that such coordinators are “fantastically important.”
Although she didn’t mention Bean by name, Thompson, when told of the actor’s statement that the use of intimacy coordinators would “inhibit” him, said, “You can’t just let it flow. There’s a camera there, and a crew. You’re not on your own in a hotel room, you’re surrounded by a bunch of blokes, mostly, so it’s not a comfortable situation full stop.”
She said that while the actor in question might find it “distracting,” others would say, “it made me comfortable, it made me feel safe, it made me feel as though I was able to do this work’.”

The team behind AMC’s “Interview With the Vampire” series weighed in on the use of intimacy coordinators on set during a panel for the Television Critics Association summer press tour.
“We worked with an intimacy coordinator quite extensively,” series star Sam Reid said. “I think it’s really important working with an intimacy coordinator. I haven’t not worked with an intimacy coordinator for a number of years. I think it treats those scenes more like a stunt scene or a fight scene, so they’re choreographed as well as trying to keep some spontaneity in it. It was kind of fun doing it in that way. We got to rehearse it and know exactly what was going to happen.”

Amanda Seyfried told Porter magazine that she purposely let herself be uncomfortable on film sets earlier in her career because she felt it was the only way to keep her job.
The publication noted that the Emmy and Oscar nominee “wishes she could be coming up now, in an era where intimacy coordinators are an on-set requirement and actors are in a better position to speak up.” Seyfried said she emerged “pretty unscathed” from her early days as an actor in Hollywood, but she does look back in shock.
“Being 19, walking around without my underwear on – like, are you kidding me? How did I let that happen?” Seyfried said. “Oh, I know why: I was 19 and I didn’t want to upset anybody and I wanted to keep my job. That’s why.”

Sean Bean, Aka Ned Stark on Game Of Thrones, revealed that he’s not a fan of intimacy coordinators.
The actor argued that having coordinators around makes things feel more mechanical than emotional. “It would inhibit me more because it’s drawing attention to things,” he told The Times of London. “Somebody saying, ‘Do this, put your hands there, which you touch his thing… I think the natural way lovers behave would be ruined by someone bringing it right down to a technical exercise.”
Bean also recounted a positive experience filming a Snowpiercer intimate scene with his costar, Lena Hall. “This one had a musical cabaret background, so she was up for anything,” the English actor claimed.
Bean is (unsurprisingly) already receiving backlash for his comments.

Sean Bean’s “Snowpiercer” co-star is speaking out, following an interview Bean gave in which he claimed Lena Hall was “up for anything” in their onscreen sex scene, simply because she “had a musical cabaret background.” According to Hall, that is not the case.

Not all of Hollywood is thankful for intimacy coordinators.
After SAG-AFTRA opened membership to intimacy coordinators back in July, actor Sean Bean slammed the practice for spoiling the “spontaneity” of love scenes for film and TV shows.

Production on TNT’s “Snowpiercer” has been stopped due to safety concerns involving extremely high temperatures on set (via Deadline). The series was filming in British Columbia, where temperatures frequently reached the mid-90s. Multiple cast and crew members experienced cases of heat exhaustion, and 14 people were reportedly taken to the local hospital for treatment. Soon after, producers made the decision to suspend filming until temperatures became more manageable.

Snowpiercer Season 3 Episode 10
Three different philosophies are all battling for control on Snowpiercer. Wilford and his hardcore supporters (and people too afraid to cross him) are in the middle, ready to take advantage of any openings. Melanie and her supporters are preparing to keep the train moving along the tracks in the hopes that the future will be brighter (and less of a risky trip). Finally, there’s Layton and his New Eden truthers, who are willing to risk things now in the hopes of more immediate returns on their gamble. It’s headed for war, with a lot of innocent people, like Roche’s brakemen and the Second Class passengers who make things work, trapped in the middle.
It seems as though there are a lot of people caught in the middle. Layton sold everyone a bill of goods after a fashion; he said...

Snowpiercer Season 3 Episode 9
From the very opening moments of Snowpiercer, it’s clear that the train that couldn’t slow down is in for some big changes. Ben (Iddo Goldberg) talks about how people build their lives around loved ones, and when those loved ones are lost, we lose part of ourselves and turn inward to examine who we are, if we did enough, and where we belong in this new world without that person in our lives. For Ben, that person has been Melanie (Jennifer Connelly), out in the frozen wilderness and presumed dead until signs of her active presence are uncovered. For Melanie, she’s lost everyone she’s ever known, depending on suspension drugs and stimulants to hope against hope that she’ll live long enough for someone, anyone to notice her presence and keep her from becoming just another frozen corpse among 7 billion or so.

Snowpiercer Season 3 Episode 8
Another day, another environmental calamity on board Snowpiercer that requires valiant intervention to prevent total systemic meltdown. Stop me if you’ve heard this one before. It’s not a new situation on board Snowpiercer, but all things considered, that the train is still running this long, and this well, through such terrible conditions is a borderline miracle. I’ve worked places where the Internet broke down every time it rained, and that’s not even in a frozen post-apocalyptic hellscape. I can only imagine the challenge the engineers have had trying to keep the train running through thick and thin, revolution and dictatorship.
It’s a lot of work for three engineers plus an occasionally helpful prisoner in Wilford (Sean Bean), so it’s not a surprise that when the chance to recover a missing person in the form of Melanie...

Snowpiercer Season 3 Episode 5
Things were going a bit to well for Andre Layton by the standards of Snowpiercer. Zarah’s pregnancy is getting close to the end. Layton has the train headed for New Eden. Wilford is in a coma state and safely out of the way. Ben has figured out a way to try and help Javi recover from his traumatic experience at the hands of Wilford, and everyone’s excited by the prospect of a new little Layton running around, fomenting revolution and causing trouble. However, trouble never waits for children to grow up, or even arrive. In fact, sometimes trouble uses the joy of impending parenthood as a chance to take advantage with no one watching.
Every big event to take place on Snowpiercer seems to be a cover for someone to do something nefarious, be it Wilford using the Loyal Wedding...
