“Shark Tank” star Kevin O’Leary’s announcement that he’ll be running for the leadership of Canada’s Conservative party has been greeted with no shortage of skepticism, but one of O’Leary’s former co-stars on CBC’s “Dragon’s Den” is sharing her belief that O’Leary would make a lousy leader. Arlene Dickinson is pulling no punches when it comes […]...

It’s going to be a very different season when CBC‘s Dragons’ Den returns, and adding to the new mix is Joe Fresh founder Joe Mimran.
Fresh off the news that he is stepping down from Joe Fresh, the Dragons’ Den gets a new Dragon, and one that is sure to be an interesting addition.
The show, which for my money has more interesting pitches than Shark Tank, will be starting its 10th season, and with news that Arlene Dickinson won’t be returning, needed a Dragon that can keep hold of the show’s broad base.
The show returns in the fall. Catch all the info below.

Canada’s precursor to Shark Tank, Dragons’ Den, is wrapping up eight seasons worth of pitches by going on the road to connect personally with some of the show’s most memorable pitchers.
The special airs on April 2nd on CBC, and it’s going to be an interesting ride, apparently with 100% more tattoos than ever before. The Dragon’s Den, which was recently in the news because Mr. Wonderful, Kevin O’Leary, is apparently not returning to the show, already has a long history of some incredible deals, and “where are they now?” specials, but this one is going to move things into a whole new arena of pitcher showcase.
Despite the occasional rumblings of cynics, this is television at rather close to its best. Audiences get to see some truly ridiculous ideas, and hopefuls and visionaries get a chance to make their dreams come true. While Mr. Wonderful...

Canadian investor W. Brett Wilson will not return next year on the venture capitalist reality show Dragons' Den. CBC, the Canadian TV network that broadcasts the show, is now looking for a new "dragon" and that person will be announced in the upcoming weeks.
Up until today, Wilson has been part of Dragons' Den for three seasons.
Apparently, CBC and Wilson haven't reached a common ground for the renewal of his contract.
All four other Dragons, Arlene Dickinson, Robert Herjavec, Kevin O’Leary and Jim Treliving are in place for next season.
Production on the sixth season will begin in spring. Pitchers’ auditions for season six are currently underway across Canada. For more details, visit http://www.cbc.ca/dragonsden/audition.

The Canadian hit reality show Dragons' Den's fifth season will premiere on September 22 on CBC, a Canadian TV network. For this year, more than $20 million has been made in deals.
As always, the host will be economic journalist Dianne Buckner. As for the judges, who are among Canada's wealthiest entrepreneurs/venture capitalists, we'll still see investor Kevin O'Leary, marketing expert Arlene Dickinson, Jim Treliving (the owner of the Boston Pizza franchise), It security expert Robert Herjavec and energy tycoon W. Brett Wilson.
For those who don't know, the show's concept allows budding entrepreneurs to come in the den and present their idea to the five judges/investors. These budding entrepreneurs must describe their product/idea and say how much they need for a certain percentage in their product/idea.
