Ever get a feeling of déjà vu while you're watching The X Factor? That's because after 11 series and hundreds of contestants, the live shows have seen a whopping 728 tracks performed so far. But like a wedding DJ reaching for his failsafe party anthems CD, the top five most popular songs have been dusted off and rolled out over 33 times between them.
Our geeky rules state that we're counting all live show performances and group songs, but not repeat performances from the same act in the same series.
=5. 'Feeling Good': 6 performances
Performed by: Beverley Trotman, Rachel Hylton, Stacey Solomon, James Arthur, Rebecca Ferguson, Andrea Faustini
Made famous by Nina Simone, this classic usually pops up in the traditional 'Big Band Week', and is a good excuse for an act to show off their sultry side. Stacey had a go with Michael Bublé in 2009, while Andrea tried out a more powerhouse version last year.

Two Overs in The X Factor Grand Finale. Who'd-a-thunk it?
Fleur East and Ben Haenow have beaten off Jack Walton, Stereo Kicks and Stevi Ritchie (oh, behave!) to make it to Wembley tonight.
And although we won't be seeing Andi Peters at the CD printing press (more for shame), we can expect more Louis Walsh, celebratory sausages and One Direction.
Crack out the eggnog and join Digital Spy as we await the news of whether Fleur or Ben will follow the illustrious steps of Shayne Ward, Steve Brookstein and Leon Jackson to take The X Factor crown.
Even more exciting than that, we're also hoping for an update on whether Labrinth ever had his wisdom teeth out...
22:01Anyway, that's it everyone! With one last plug for the tour, we're over and out. Goodnight all!
21:59There are too many X Factor finalists there with shaved sides of their heads.

The X Factor final is always great in its own right, of course, but one of our favourite things about it is all the things that go with it. The baffling Lord Mayors on awkward live link-ups. The moment when Greggs tries to make the finalists' faces in pizzas.
Basically, we're a fan of the sideshow. And today we were presented with a brilliant example. Thank you, Heart Radio, and thank you, Emma Bunton, and thank you, Jamie Theakston, for introducing us to this X Factor Christmas choir.
We're not entirely sure what they'll be singing but it honestly doesn't really matter because it is such a blast from a past (well, some are more recent than others...).
But the real question is can you name them all? Give it a go and click to reveal the answers...
1. This boyband (and bonus points if you can name them all).

We're down to our final three on The X Factor - Andrea, Ben, and Fleur, in case you've somehow missed the news - and the final is just days away. Days. But of course the one thing we all want to know is what the winner's single will be - is it going to be a surprise triumph or a horrific failure?
All this speculation got us looking back at the X Factor winner's singles of the past - the good, the bad, the terrible. And, of course, we just had to rank them, didn't we? Read on for our view of how they all stack up...
10. 'Hallelujah' - Alexandra Burke
One thing we discovered when we began this ranking is that the quality of the winner's single is no reflection of the quality of the artist. Take this monstrosity. Alexandra is obviously hugely talented and could have had an amazing first record.

The X Factor has helped launch the career of dozens of pop acts over the last decade. It has also given us Chico Time. You win some, you lose some.
Here is our definitive ranking of the 15 most ludicrous acts to ever grace Saturday nights on ITV.
15. Rylan
Rylan was already a regular on the reality TV circuit before The X Factor (he was a runner-up in the Sky Living monstrosity Signed By Katie Price), and he was a little bit more knowing and calculated than genuinely bonkers.
However, even if those floods of tears at Nicole Scherzinger's Judges' Houses were staged, they were staged brilliantly. The perfect I'm-mad-me contestant after a decade of near misses.
14. 2 Shoes
Charley Bird and Lucy Texeira were harmless and fairly innocuous as a pop duo. They spoke only in Essex slang ("Roll!") and insisted on calling each other "shoe", but the most ludicrous...

When The Voice premiered in the Netherlands just three years ago, it smashed Idol and X Factor in the ratings. The allure of gimmicky spinning chairs, cheesy battle rounds and an assurance that it is “all about vocal talent” made it event TV. That is exactly what The Voice is, excellent family viewing…and by excellent I mean not as loved as Britain’s Got Talent.
How can you not be drawn in by the suspense of it all – I know I was. As soon as Jane Doe smashes it with an Earth shattering belter of a note, those chairs come spinning right round…baby, right round like a record baby. It’s just a pity that alumni from The Voice fail to sell many records and on a global scale, haven’t quite yet found their Kelly Clarkson or Leona Lewis.
Ask yourself this question pop music fans.

The X Factor Grand Final is this weekend. *Pulls party poppers, gets out Wagner bongos, does Rough Copy dance.*
Sam Bailey, Nicholas McDonald and Luke Friend are battling for the title, there are rumours of Wagner making an appearance and there's also the possibility that Louis Walsh may spontaneously combust with glee if one of his boys wins. So it's well worth a watch.
In case you haven't been keeping up with the series (tut tut), here's a Bluffer's Guide to the Final 3.
Luke Friend
Age: 17.
Distinguishing features: A head of hair that looks like it might smell of gravy and could possibly be housing a flock of pigeons.
Cringeworthy Louis Walsh moment: "You're like a little Johnny Depp."
Best Moment:
Sob story: He was a busker in Devon six months ago. And he's been mentored by Louis Walsh for the last three months. Give the guy a break.
Debut album will be.

There are loads of fun ways to celebrate a tenth birthday. Going bowling, heading to Laserquest or even hiring a clown.
But for The X Factor, they have decided to shun all of these great ideas (Ok, maybe except the last one. Hi Louis!) in favour of something completely different…
Tonight, the remaining six contestants are saying 'Happy Birthday' by paying homage to the very best of what the show has produced over the past decade, from Alexandra to Leona, McElderry to, um, Ward.
Join Digital Spy from 8pm as we pop on the party hats for what is definitely going to be this weekend's most important TV show birthday celebration…

Former 'X Factor' winners including Shayne Ward and Matt Cardle have been snubbed from the show's 10th anniversary. The reality singing competition will celebrate its 10th year on air later this month by having the latest crop of contestants perform songs by past success stories - such as One Direction and Leona Lewis - but some of the show's less successful winners will not be part of the special weekend of shows at all. According to The Sun newspaper, none of the pop hopefuls will sing songs by winners Steve Brookstein (2004 winner), Shayne (2005), Leon Jackson (2006), or Matt Cardle (2010). A...

Sam Bailey: A+
Despite being tagged as this year's "Tesco Mary", given the tag "ScrewBo" by Louis Walsh and an alarming amount of interest from Michael Bolton, Sam has managed to overcome these hurdles and genuinely be considered a contender for the title. No easy feat for an act in the dreaded Overs category.
Sam's managed to not only hit all the big notes, she's also managed to make herself look like an artist who could sell a few records. The judges can't find a flaw, her blubbing husband gets us all emotional every time and she's proving to be consistently popular in the Digital Spy polls. We'd probably hate her if she wasn't so darn nice.
Rough Copy: A

Can Sam Callahan finally win over Gary Barlow? How old is Nicholas McDonald? (16!!) And will Nicole Scherzinger be as 'excited' as she was on last week's Live Show? These are all questions we hope will be answered this evening.

The days are darkening, the leaves are browning and there’s a slightly singed smell in the air. It’ll be Christmas before we know it, and 2013 will have flown by quicker than Leon Jackson’s career.

We all know the X Factor is a well-oiled money machine, so it comes as no surprise that the show will release a celebratory Greatest Hits collection to get us buying all of those songs we probably already own.
And it got us thinking: wouldn't it be better value for money to have some songs on the collection that we probably don't already own?
The X Factor has produced some forgotten gems and stellar novelty tracks over the years, so we've listed 10 of the best that didn't make the final tracklist below.
Chico: 'It's Chico Time'
Long before Lucy Spraggan and Ella Henderson wowed audiences with their songwriting efforts, we had Chico and his wristwatch. The track shot straight to number one to become one of the UK's finest novelty blow-outs, so we're a bit miffed it didn't make the compilation. Bonus track, maybe?

Making X Factor predictions is always a foolhardy exercise. Two years ago, we said
Little Mix would come last. Three years ago, we tipped Nicolo Festa to make the top 4. What on earth were we smoking?
However, we're never afraid of making fools of ourselves at Reality Bites so once again we're bravely drawing a line in the sand and sticking our necks on the line (and various other clichés). Keep reading for our predictions on where the X Factor Final 12 will finish.
12th - Miss Dynamix
The curse of the girlband was smashed up by Little Mix two years ago, but we reckon they're the exception that proves the rule. If anyone can name all three members of Miss Dynamix, we'll bare our buttocks in Oxford Street, and it's that complete lack of recognition that means the group are doomed. All isn't lost though, just look at the careers of Kandy Rain,...

If you've got a little bit of a sadistic side (and let's be honest, if you watch X Factor every week, then you must) the Judges' Houses round is the apex of the series.
Everyone cries. Half the contestants get their dreams shredded. Sinitta turns up in a bikini. It makes last week's musical chairs twist look like Dora the Explorer.
At this stage the acts are one step away from the Live Shows and the chance to be the next Leona, One Direction, James Arthur or Rikki Loney (ahem). At the same time they're also one step away from rejection, humiliation and having to return to performing back down at the Dog and Duck for a packet of Scampi Fries and half a shandy.
Sharon Osbourne and her Overs category were up first and they were all joined in sunny Los Angeles by a chirpy Robbie Williams.
"I need to have the winner.

An 'ultimate X Factor mash-up' has been unveiled ahead of the ITV show's tenth series.
The video - which mixes together hits from the likes of One Direction, Joe McElderry and Leona Lewis - will also form a 60-second TV advert in the run-up to the new series.
During the show's nine years on air it has produced 57 UK chart hits, with 33 of those reaching number one.
The tracklist for the mash-up includes One Direction's debut 'What Makes You Beautiful', Leona Lewis's 'Bleeding Love', 'DNA' by Little Mix, Olly Murs's 'Heart Skips a Beat' and Union J's recent Top 10 hit 'Carry You'.
It also includes hits from winners Shayne Ward and James Arthur. However, winners Steve Brookstein, Matt Cardle and Leon Jackson are not included in the mash-up.

Rhydian Roberts has admitted that he thinks Gary Barlow was the perfect choice for this year’s X Factor judging panel.
The 28 year old Welsh singer shot to fame when he finished in second place, on the 2007 series of the ITV show, beat by Scottish bore Leon Jackson.

Rhydian told Christine Bleakley and Adrian Chiles:
It’s interesting. I’m glad to see Gary Barlow there. I think he’s an amazing man, musician, song writer….he knows it all so he’s a great judge.

Rhydian told Christine Bleakley and Adrian Chiles:
It’s interesting. I’m glad to see Gary Barlow there. I think he’s an amazing man, musician, song writer….he knows it all so he’s a great judge.

Louis Walsh has admitted that he doesn’t think the British public chose the right person, when they voted for the winner of Britain’s Got Talent last week.
24 year old Jai McDowall took the £100,000 prize money when he triumphed on the ITV show, over 12 year old singing sensation Ronan Parke and the X factor judge is sure that viewers got it wrong.
He told The Daily Star:
“Jai isn’t going to be a massive success – he hasn’t got any star quality at all.
“He won’t have chart success and within a year or so he’ll be forgotten. He’s not a star – he was a boring winner.
“Last year we had him on X Factor but we kicked him out at boot camp and there was a reason for that.
“At the end of the day, he’s an X Factor reject and he’s not going to sell records.

X Factor 2011: Louis Walsh looking for the next Jedward at Glasgow auditions! Sack him please Simon!
This is why Simon Cowell should have sacked Louis Walsh when he had the chance!
Not content with forcing the insanely annoying Jedward and ridiculously untalented Wagner down our throats on the last two X Factor series’, the Irish star has admitted that he is now on the lookout for another crap act for the upcoming run of the ITV show.
Louis was speaking to The Sun at yesterday’s Glasgow auditions when he confessed that he would like to find the next ‘Jedward’ amongst the Scottish hopefuls.
Failing that, he’d be happy with “the new Rod Stewart or Lulu”. Walsh added:
“All we want is to find one star.”
Thankfully Dermot O’Leary has slightly higher expectations from the crowd and told the newspaper that the team had been excited by Jai McDowall’s win on Britain’s Got Talent and were hoping that Scotland would come up trumps for them too.

Writing on his own blog, entitled ‘Searching for Cheese’, former X Factor victor Steve Brookstein has slated Simon Cowell for ever appointing Cheryl Cole as a judge on the Us version of the show.
In an entry entitled, ‘Cheryl Cole – The People’s Princess is back’, Steve wrote…
I felt compelled to write a brief blog because The X Factor spin doctors are hard at work re-branding Simon Cowell’s Miracle Elixir and I’m afraid to say that people are buying it. The man himself has crossed the Atlantic to flog his wonderful life-changing snake oil to the land who invented the stuff.
I was amazed when I heard Cheryl Cole was going to judge in the USA. One thing the Americans do well is music. They have a rich history of artists. My top 10 favourite singers are all from the Us…

Dannii Minogue has confirmed that she will not return for the next series of The X Factor. The 39-year-old, who won the 2007 and 2010 editions of the ITV contest with Leon Jackson and Matt Cardle, explained that her commitment to Australia's Got Talent had prevented her from rejoining the judging panel this year. She told My Daily: "During discussions for me to return [to The X Factor] it became clear that unfortunately, this year, the X Factor audition dates in the UK clash with the live shows of Australia's Got Talent during June and July. For this reason I am unable to return. "I want to wish the new judges every success for this year's show, and can't wait to see who the British public choose as their next big star. Matt Cardle has admitted that he’d like to achieve success in America as well as the UK when he launches his debut album.
The 27 year old singer won The X Factor earlier this month and wants to become the next Leona Lewis, as opposed to the next Leon Jackson over the next few years.
Insiders report that Simon Cowell has lined up a team of industry experts to help Matt make it big and the former painter and decorator told The Mirror:
“I can’t wait. The next big dream is to have success in America.
“If I could pick any place in the world to play, I’d love to play Central Park or Madison Square Garden.
“This is what I’ve wanted for so long and I just can’t wait to crack on and do it.”
“I don’t want to waste this, because it really is a golden opportunity.

Matt Cardle has denied reports that he has sworn off women following his X Factor win.
The 27 year old singer sang his way to the top spot on the final of the ITV show last Sunday and has subsequently landed a record deal worth £1 million.
However the rumoured womaniser says that he isn’t off women, but also isn’t looking for a serious relationship until he gets his music career established.
Matt told The News Of The World:
“I’m not off women I’m just fully-focused. If that means knuckling down and keeping out of mischief, I’ll do that until I get what I want.”
Cardle admitted that he did experience a moment of doubt before winning the show, when he got his first look at the winner’s work schedule.
“The final three of us looked at the schedule and everybody was like, ‘Oh God, you can have it!

Simon Cowell has reportedly decided that the winner of this year’s X Factor series will release their album before the summer of 2011.
In previous years, winners such as Alexandra Burke, Leon Jackson and Joe McElderry have been allowed almost a full year to work on their debut album. However, after Joe failed to claim the number one spot with ‘Wide Awake’ in October, Cowell was said to be convinced that people had forgotten about him and determined not to let the same thing happen again.
A source told The Sun:
“Joe was virtually forgotten by the time he was launched this year.”
Matt Cardle, One Direction, Cher Lloyd, Mary Byrne and Rebecca Ferguson will compete in tonight’s semi final, four will move on to next week’s final show.

Former X Factor runner up Rhydian Roberts has claimed that judge Louis Walsh doesn’t give a s**t about the ITV show.
The Welsh opera singer was pipped to the post by Leon Jackson in 2007 and was mentored by Australian judge Dannii Minogue.
Speaking to The News Of The World about the judges’ attitude to the talent competition, Roberts said:
“Cheryl, Dannii and Simon take their roles very seriously. Louis, on the other hand, finds it all hilarious and basically doesn’t give a s**t.
“But Louis is crucial to the panel because he adds the fun element.”
Mary Byrne also claimed that the Irish star is the most relaxed judge on the show.
The Dublin mum of one was responding to a question in her weekly video diary, when she admitted that the Irish star is really ‘funny behind the scenes’ of the ITV series. She said:
It’s definitely Louis.

Kylie Minogue made her X Factor return on tonight’s results show.
The Australian star showcased her newest single Better Than Today, taken from her 2010 album Aphrodite.
Kylie previously performed on the ITV show in 2007, when she duetted with eventual winner Leon Jackson. She also assisted Dannii in choosing her final three singers at judges houses last year.
Minogue’s love of the Scissor Sisters was very obvious tonight and the song was very derivative of the American band’s style.
Our favourite moment of the performance was when Kylie almost fell on her face as she ran across the stage. It may have just been a minor wobble but imagine if she had sprawled off the platform and straight onto the judging table….it would have been pure TV gold!

“By the law of averages I should get the groups this year, I’ve never had them! However, you never know what’s going to happen.

Dannii Minogue has claimed that she is expecting to be given the X Factor groups to mentor this year. The reality TV judges has previously looked after the Boys in 2007, including eventual winner Leon Jackson, the Over-25s in 2008 and the Girls in 2009. Speaking about this year's categories, she said: "By the law of averages I should get the groups

The first ever winner of The X Factor Steve Brookstein has not been included on the show's updated official site. In a selection of videos titled 'Winning Moments' on the ITV1 site, there are clips of the other five champions, Shayne Ward, Leona Lewis, Leon Jackson, Alexandra Burke and last year's winner Joe McElderry. Fans of the show on the Digital Spy forum have suggested that the move signals Brookstein being "written out" of the programme's history. Forum member dexydal said: "I think it is absolutely right to exclude him. He has bad-mouthed The X Factor and Simon for sometime, in a vile, foul-mouthed way. "If someone had done that at a place of work, would you expect the company to include them in a promotional video? I think not." Teenagermartyr disagreed, commenting: "I understand that he's (more)...

Insiders have suggested that Simon Cowell is planning to cancel next year’s X Factor in the UK, so that he can concentrate on his new American version.
Normally Simon and his panel would audition hopefuls in the spring/summer and the TV show would launch on ITV in late August. However due to Simon’s other commitments, he is said to be planning to postpone UK auditions until autumn 2011 and then air the show sometime in 2012.
A show source told The Daily Star: “Every summer viewers look forward to seeing the oddballs and freaks on telly. This is a major blow.”
Another insider added: “The plan is for Simon to oversee the Us version of X Factor first and foremost.
“He will be based in the States for the auditions in the late spring, which will be broadcast in America in September.

X Factor bosses are said to be on the lookout for a different sort of act this year.
No more cheesy brother and sister duos, no more annoying and untalented twins, in 2010 the X Factor is striving for credibility.
Possibly because of how 2009 winner, meek and mild Joe McElderry, was beat in the battle for Christmas number one by Rage Against The Machine, Simon Cowell is hoping he can find the new Jls instead of the next Leon Jackson this year!
A source told The Sun:
“There was a time when people wanted to see someone who has had a difficult life get a No1 Christmas hit.
“But that climate has completely changed. People want an artist that is going to keep producing.”
The insider added: “It’s the seventh year and it needed to change.
“The climate is completely different to when Leon Jackson won it in 2007.
