Aunt Shirin Banu (mother Purnima's elder sister) was the mother of director Mahesh Bhatt and producer Mukesh Bhatt.

Father of Bollywood's successful actor Emraan Hashmi.

Aunt Shirin Banu (mother Purnima's elder sister) was the grandmother of actresses Pooja Bhatt and her step sister Alia Bhatt.

Acted in a diploma film of Mahesh Bhatt while Bhatt was in FTII.
