Devon Sawa Believes Chucky Will Return Again in New Movie or Show
Image
Devon Sawa became a huge part of the Child’s Play franchise thanks to his multiple roles in the TV series, Chucky.. While he may have been more famous for avoiding Death’s grasp in Final Destination, he was not so lucky when coming up against Chucky’s bloodlust, which led to his characters meeting some gory ends. While the series came to an end after three seasons, the actor’s most recent comments on the show have come with an unexpected positive outlook for Chucky’s chances of another resurrection.

Let’s state facts, like many horror franchises, Chucky has been dead and buried several times, but somehow, he always comes back no matter what befalls the franchise. In the 1990s, Child’s Play 3 became the subject of a “Video Nasty” ban in the U.K. when it was cited as the inspiration behind the murder of a young toddler by two other children.

Chucky season 3 adds John Waters as the creator of the Good Guy dolls
Image
Don Mancini, who has written every film in the Child’s Play / Chucky franchise (except the remake) and directed a few of them, developed the TV series Chucky with producer David Kirschner – and he has made it clear that he enjoys casting actors in multiple roles. For example, Devon Sawa has already played four different characters over the course of the TV show’s three seasons. Now Entertainment Weekly has learned that legendary filmmaker John Waters is the latest person to play two different roles in this franchise. Having previously played Pete Peters, a tabloid photographer who got dissolved by acid in 2004’s Seed of Chucky, Waters has now been added to the cast of Chucky season 3, where he’ll be playing Wendell Wilkins, “the reclusive creator of the Good Guy dolls, who gets drawn into the psychopathic Chucky’s tangled web”.

Chucky yule log video keeps the holiday festivities going
Chucky (2021)
Christmas weekend has come and gone, but that doesn’t mean the holiday festivities have to end – and since winter is here in full force, it’s definitely still fireplace weather. So it doesn’t feel like it’s too late to share the Chucky yule log video that was released by the folks at Syfy last week. The video is, sadly, geoblocked, but if you can see it you’ll find the heartwarming sight of horror icon Chucky sitting beside a fireplace – a Christmas tree nearby and stockings hung with care. And this is a video you’ll be able to keep on in the background for 70 minutes.

Chucky season 2, which aired on both Syfy and USA Network, wrapped up its eight episode run in late November with a season finale that was set on Christmas. There’s still no word on whether or not we’ll be getting...

“Chucky” Season 2 Finale Review – “Chucky Actually” Decks the Halls with Blood and Holiday Cheer
Image
Season Two of Don Mancini’s “Chucky” kicked off on Halloween and fittingly takes a bow over Christmas. The holiday-themed finale jumps ahead, picking up some time after the last episode’s wild events to bring season’s beatings and wrap up loose ends. “Chucky Actually” may not get quite as explosive as the penultimate episode, but it does pack in plenty of violent yuletide surprises and a satisfying conclusion to the season.

You can’t keep a killer Good Guy down. Andy (Alex Vincent) and Kyle (Christine Elise) may have walked away last episode thinking they’ve destroyed Chucky (Brad Dourif) for good, but he’s proven a wily one this season. And he’s still got murder in mind for Jake Wheeler (Zackary Arthur), Devon (Bjorgvin Arnarson), and Lexy (Alyvia Alyn Lind), who’ve all returned home to the Cross household for the holidays. Meanwhile, Tiffany (Jennifer Tilly...

Chucky season 2: WWE wrestler Liv Morgan to appear in upcoming episode
The wrestling program WWE Raw airs on the USA Network and so does the Chucky TV series (which also airs on Syfy), so it makes sense that wrestler Liv Morgan wore a Chucky-inspired outfit in the ring as a bit of cross-promotion during an episode of Raw last year. But there’s another reason for Morgan’s Chucky tribute: she happens to be a fan of the killer doll, and during an interview she even said that she would love to be killed by Chucky on screen. She might get her wish, because the official Twitter account has announced that Morgan will be appearing in the October 26th episode of Chucky season 2!

Watch This Week’s Episode of “Chucky” Right Now for Free; Tiffany and Nica Are Back!
Image
The second episode of Don Mancini’s “Chucky” Season 2 aired on both USA and Syfy last night, and once again Syfy has uploaded the complete episode to YouTube for free.

In Season 2 Episode 2, Jake Wheeler (Zackary Arthur), Devon Evans (Bjorgvin Arnarson), and Lexy Cross (Alyvia Alyn Lind) struggle with homophobia and the strict rules of their new Catholic reform school, especially when Chucky arrives with a murderous agenda.

Meanwhile, in Beverly Hills, a suspicious detective threatens Tiffany’s (Jennifer Tilly) imposture as “Jennifer Tilly” and the discovery of her secret hostage, Nica Pierce (Fiona Dourif).

Meagan Navarro wrote in her episode review for Bloody Disgusting, “Episode two gets a bit more settled into the new season. The central conflicts for Jake, Lexy, and Devon are becoming crystalized, and the teases from Nica and Tiffany instill heavy anticipation for what’s ahead. Revenge is gearing up to play a pivotal role...

“Chucky” Season 2 Review – Episode 2 Plants the Seeds of Revenge [Review]
Image
The second season of Don Mancini’s “Chucky” kicked off with a transitional episode that reintroduced Jake Wheeler (Zackary Arthur), Lexy (Alyvia Alyn Lind), and Devon (Bjorgvin Arnarson), then shipped them off to Catholic school. The second episode, “The Sinners Are Much More Fun,” continues their attempts to assimilate into their new surroundings while planting the seeds of revenge for two characters.

But first, the episode starts with Tiffany Valentine’s return (Jennifer Tilly), living in decadence with her pretty-in-pink captive, Nica (Fiona Dourif). Tiffany finally has the life and love she always wanted, save for two pesky little problems: Nica is wanted for murder and just so happens to be sharing a body with former flame Charles Lee Ray.

And Chucky wants his revenge.

Chucky Season 2 Loudly, Proudly Declares That It's No Fan Of Children
Image
It's been about a year since we last caught up with our favorite sociopathic serial killer trapped in the body of a doll, but "Chucky" is back for season 2 and Charles Lee Ray (Brad Dourif) is wasting no time continuing to ruin the lives of Jake Wheeler (Zackary Arthur), his boyfriend Devon Evans (Björgvin Arnarson), their friend Lexy Cross (Alyvia Alyn Lind), and anyone else who gets in his way. Season 1 saw Chucky and his partner-in-crime, Jennifer Tilly (Jennifer Tilly), unleash a reign of terror across Hackensack, New Jersey that included a mansion fire, plenty of stabbings, murders framed as suicides, a movie theater massacre, and the demonic possession of 70+ Chucky dolls, and left Jake and Devon both orphaned.

Chucky isn't a fan of loose ends, which is why the first season provided such ire for him. Nica Pierce (Fiona Dourif) is still under the watchful eye of Jennifer Tilly,...

Chucky Season 2 TV Review
Image
Plot: A year after seemingly defeating their nemesis Chucky, “3 Amigos” Jake, Devon, and Lexy begin receiving mysterious, threatening calls from an all-too-familiar-sounding enemy.

Review: After years of mediocre sequels and a poorly received remake, Don Mancini’s Child’s Play franchise moved to the small screen last year with Chucky. A fun, over-the-top season that blended gory kills with some origin for Charles Lee Ray, Chucky was a cross-network hit that gained a dedicated following thanks to simultaneous airings on both USA and SyFy as well as the well-received return of Brad Dourif as the possessed Good Guy doll. With appearances from characters from throughout the franchise, Chucky ended its first season with a bang and set up the second to be even bigger and more deadly. Having seen the first two episodes, Chucky’s second season continues the style and humor of last year’s run while changing up the setting to keep things fresh.

Four New Horror Shows Premiere This Week Including “Chucky” Season 2!
Image
This first full week of October is a huge week for new horror, with 13 brand new horror movies arriving in theaters and on streaming. And the small screen is loaded with fresh horror, too.

First up, “Chucky” Season 2 premieres on both Syfy and USA tonight, October 5, and the brand new season kicks off with a special Halloween-themed episode titled “Halloween II.”

“Chucky” Season 2 Premiere Pays Tribute to Slashers and Lays Story Groundwork [Review]
Image
“Chucky” is back and just in time for Halloween! Season two picks up a year after the inaugural season’s events, ensuring that peace was short-lived for its young protagonists. The season premiere, “Halloween II,” evokes the Halloween spirit with its holiday setting and infectious callbacks to other slashers. That energy helps in getting reacquainted with the series’ characters as they transition into the next chapter.

Previously on fucking “Chucky,” Jake Wheeler (Zackary Arthur), Lexy (Alyvia Alyn Lind), and Devon (Bjorgvin Arnarson) survived a blood bath in the town’s local cinema. Jake succeeded in destroying the iteration of the killer doll that tormented him all season, while franchise stalwart Andy Barclay (Alex Vincent) skipped town in a truck full of possessed Good Guy dolls. Tiffany (Jennifer Tilly) and Chucky (Brad Dourif) have amassed a Good Guy doll army, though, and refuse to have their plans derailed without a body count.

‘Chucky’ Review: Syfy Series Captures the Gory Goodness of the Killer Doll Franchise
Image
If you asked me to name my favorite horror film franchise, I wouldn’t cite the usual suspects. My go-to slasher is a pint-sized ginger-haired terror in coveralls whose Good Guy exterior hides a killer underneath. Yep, Don Mancini’s “Child’s Play” series has terrified me, dazzled me, and given me many an opportunity to champion its progressive disability politics. So a series based around Chucky navigating Generation Alpha was always going to be my personal catnip, but thankfully it delivers.

Jake Wheeler (Zackary Arthur) has had a rough go of things. After the death of his mother, Jake’s father, Lucas (Devon Sawa), spends his days drinking and berating Jake for being gay and a loner. Jake wants to be an artist and his recent sculptures have focused on dolls, so when he spies everyone’s favorite possessed plastic creature at a yard sale, it gives Jake the opportunity to complete his latest piece.

Chucky Full Trailer Arrives and Makes a New Friend in the Child's Play Sequel
Image
Chucky will be back to doing what he does best in October as revealed in an all-new Chucky trailer from Syfy. Straight out of Comic-Con@Home on Sunday, the network released the full trailer for the anticipated horror series that will bring back the original Chucky for much more murder and mayhem. The trailer, along with the full Comic-Con@Home panel, have both since been released online, and you can check them out below.

Though Child's Play was given a reboot in 2019, this new Chucky series brings back the original version of the killer doll that's been voiced by Brad Dourif since 1988. With Dourif back in the role, the new series comes from Chucky creator Don Mancini with several other familiar faces from previous movies making special appearances. At the heart of the new show, however, is a new cast of characters that will unfortunately meet Chucky after a young...
