Third wife of Dennis Kucinich.

Dennis and Elizabeth were married just three months after they met, in an outdoor wedding at Mall B in Cleveland, Ohio. Shirley MacLaine and Sean Penn were among the 350 guests. Their alcohol-free, vegan reception was held in the rotunda of Cleveland City Hall.

Met her husband in Washington D.C. at a meeting on monetary policy. They became engaged on their second date. Later, Dennis officially proposed on bended knee in front of the peace fountain in downtown Cleveland, with a blue citrine stone ring, just two days before the wedding.

After graduation from university, she spent 16 months in a remote African village working on HIV prevention, where she caught malaria.

Has a masters degree in international studies from Kent University.

Known at school in Essex as "the Jolly Green Giant" because of her height.

Best friend is actress and social activist Mariana Tosca.
