In the new Stan show C*A*U*G*H*T you can expect an overflow of absurdity and irreverence that is presented through a satirical comedy. C*A*U*G*H*T, a six-part series, is all about four Australian soldiers getting captured by a freedom fighter cum terrorist organization. Sometimes political satire and mockery of the media turns out to be really hilarious, but sometimes it just doesn’t work at all. However, some famous faces like Sean Penn, who is also the producer of the series, and Sandra Sarandon can catch your attention, luring you to invest your time on the show, but it’s sad that this bizarre comedy show is a complete waste of Penn and Sarandon.
The deeper we get into the plotline of C*A*U*G*H*T, the more we start scratching our heads, questioning what is really going on. The...

The 2024 Paris Summer Olympics remain many months away, but NBC Sports has an idea it hopes will get fans thinking about the athletic extravaganza right now.
A new monthly series, “Chasing Gold: Paris 2024,” will debut this Sunday, September 18 on NBC at 2:30 p.m. eastern, and NBC Sports executives hope an early look at the athletes gearing up for the Games will build new storylines and anticipation.
“We think we can help grow and cultivate interest in the Olympics year-round,” says Jack Felling, the series’ coordinating producer.
NBCUniversal and its parent company. Comcast, have a lot invested in getting sports fans to care about the Olympics. The media giants are in the midst of a 7.75 billion deal that gives them U.S. broadcast rights for the Olympics between 2021 and 2032.
“Chasing Gold,” says Felling, will give the sports division more time to follow Olympic hopefuls and chronicle their efforts. The vignettes...

With 10 days left before the delayed and (to many) disquieting Summer Olympics start in Tokyo, NBC Olympics executive producer Molly Solomon and three on-air analysts made the case for staying the course.
“As the world emerges from troubled times, we really believe the Tokyo Olympics will be the most meaningful Olympic Games of our lifetime,” Solomon said during a 30-minute press call. Joining her on the line were NBC Olympics analysts Ato Boldon, Rowdy Gaines and Nastia Liukin.
Initially slated for July 2020, the Games were postponed a year due to Covid-19. While large parts of the world managed to escape the oppressive lockdowns this year, Japan has seen a massive spike in infections as the vaccination rollout proceeds slowly. In response to the conditions, medical experts and other voices called for a postponement. In the end, the International Olympic Committee chose not to risk their billions in broadcast revenues and proceed with the Games.

A “Real Housewives of Miami” revival was among the programming announcements Peacock made on Wednesday as part of its Television Critics Association presentation.
The original “Rhom” aired on Bravo from 2011-2013 for four seasons. The move to develop the show at Peacock is significant, as it would be the first show in the “Real Housewives” franchise to air outside of Bravo, further emphasizing the importance streaming will play in the years to come.
“The Real Housewives of Miami” is produced by Purveyors of Pop with Matt Anderson, Nate Green and Cooper Green serving as executive producers. Andy Cohen will also executive produce.
In addition, Peacock announced series orders for two scripted comedy projects, an unscripted series, and two docuseries. The first comedy stars Craig Robinson. The series, formerly known as “Killing It,” has received a 10 episode order. The show is said to be about class, capitalism and one man’s...

In its first foray into true crime programming, Peacock has ordered John Wayne Gacy: Devil in Disguise, a six-part documentary series that looks at one of the world’s most notorious serial killers. All six episodes will drop on Thursday, March 25. The series announcement was part of Peacock’s presentation Wednesday at the TCA virtual Press Tour.
The docuseries hails from NBC News Studios and Emmy-nominated producer Rod Blackhurst (Amanda Knox) and his Witchcraft Motion Picture Compnay. It tells the story of Gacy through his own words, those who were forever changed by his unspeakable deeds and those who believe that the full truth about the case remains concealed to this day, according to Peacock. It features a multi-hour interview with Gacy himself from prison, most of which has never been seen, as well as exclusive audio and video interviews, including with one of his closest confidantes and his second ex-wife.
