On Sunday during the Super Bowl, a super Pac supporting Robert F. Kennedy Jr. ran an ad for his independent presidential campaign for the 2024 election.
The advertisement displayed pictures of the candidate in vintage attire, echoing the campaign of his uncle, President John F. Kennedy. The commercial was meant to honor the legacy of the former president and stir up buzz from Rfk Jr., however, many members of the Kennedy family did not receive it well.
Kennedy’s cousin, Bobby Shriver, son of Eunice Kennedy Shriver, posted on X, “My cousin’s Super Bowl ad used our uncle’s faces – and my Mother’s. She would be appalled by his deadly health care views.”
My cousin’s Super Bowl ad used our uncle’s faces- and my Mother’s. She would be appalled by his deadly health care views. Respect for science, vaccines, & health care equity were in her DNA.

Update: Robert Kennedy Jr. apologized to family members for a Super Bowl spot that mimicked an ad run by his uncle John F. Kennedy during his 1960 presidential run.
“I’m so sorry if the Super Bowl advertisement caused anyone in my family pain,” Kennedy wrote on X/Twitter. “The ad was created and aired by the American Values Super Pac without any involvement or approval from my campaign. Fec rules prohibit Super PACs from consulting with me or my staff. I love you all. God bless you.”
Kennedy did pin the ad to his X/Twitter account, where it remains.
Bobby Shriver, Kennedy’s cousin, objected to the spot, writing that his mother Eunice “would be appalled by his deadly health care views.” Mark Shriver wrote that he agreed with that sentiment against the ad, and Maria Shriver retweeted her brother’s objections.

Jennifer Garner and Amy Adams are opening their contact lists for their new endeavor to help children during the coronavirus pandemic.
Not long after the U.S. came to a screeching halt because of Covid-19, the two superstars launched “SaveWithStories,” an Instagram account that features celebrities and other notable figures reading children’s books. The line-up already includes Chris Pratt, Reese Witherspoon, Kerry Washington, J.J. Abrams, Kaitlyn Dever, Gabrielle Union, Kelly Clarkson, Chris Evans, Eva Longoria and Hoda Kotb, among others.
The campaign is a fundraiser for Save the Children and No Kid Hungry. The celebrity readers explain in their videos how to make a $10 donation with just one text. “We have had 25,000 individual $10 donations come in,” Garner says.
Variety caught up with Garner and Adams by phone on Wednesday morning to find out how a trip to get school supplies inspired “SaveWithStories,” who caused Garner to sweat while writing...
