AMC Networks released a new teaser unveiling the “Laws of the Vampire” for the highly anticipated season two of Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire, premiering May 12, 2024 on AMC and AMC+. The series stars Jacob Anderson, along with Sam Reid, Eric Bogosian, Delainey Hayles, Assad Zaman and Ben Daniels. In the new teaser, Santiago, the leading vampire thespian of the Theatre des Vampires, played by Daniels, recites the coven law.
The interview continues in season two. In the year 2022, the vampire Louis de Pointe du Lac (Anderson) recounts his life story to journalist Daniel Molloy (Bogosian). Picking up from the bloody events in New Orleans in 1940 when Louis and teen fledgling Claudia (Hayles) conspired to kill the Vampire Lestat de Lioncourt (Reid), Louis tells of his adventures in Europe, a quest to discover Old World Vampires and the Theatre Des Vampires in Paris, with Claudia. “Guilty, or not guilty?” That is the question on Santiago’s (Ben Daniels) lips in the newest Interview With the Vampire Season 2 teaser. The video references an infamous trial scene near the end Anne Rice‘s novel of the same name, as hinted by Santiago’s judge’s wig. In the new teaser, Santiago, the leading vampire thespian of the Théâtres des Vampires in Paris, recites the “Laws of the Vampire,” one of the most important being that no vampire can kill another. That doesn’t bode well for Louis (Jacob Anderson) and Claudia (Delainey Hayles), who attempted to kill Lestat (Sam Reid) in the Season 1 finale. The vampires of the Parisian coven knew Lestat long before he arrived in New Orleans. As revealed in the first Interview With the Vampire Season 2 trailer, Lestat is a founding member of their theater. And he’s been presumed dead by Louis and...

“Memory is the monster.” That line is splashed all across Interview With the Vampire Season 2 marketing. We know that the new episodes will excavate Louis de Pointe du Lac’s (Jacob Anderson) memories in his interview with Daniel Molloy (Eric Bogosian). But what does “memory is the monster” really mean in this context? Clips throughout the Interview With the Vampire trailers help paint a picture of its possible definition. The most obvious definition is a simple one: Recovering repressed memories, and reliving the ones he could never forget, is going to be painful for Louis. Monstrously so. The vampire will also continue to be challenged on his recollection of events, as Daniel is not one to let up on his questioning — especially not now that he knows Louis to be an unreliable narrator. Another possible simple explanation is that the memory of Lestat (Sam Reid) haunts Louis. As Anderson previously told TV Insider,...

“I don’t know another character like this.” So says Delainey Hayles, Interview With the Vampire‘s new Claudia, who takes over the once-in-a-lifetime role from Bailey Bass in Season 2. Hayles had very little time between booking the role and the start of filming, she tells TV Insider. Her guiding light (her “spark in the dark“) through the quick turnaround was Anne Rice’s 1976 novel, and her onscreen vampire family, Jacob Anderson and Sam Reid. Given the attention to every lush detail in both Rice’s novel and Rolin Jones‘ AMC adaptation, Hayles tell us that “it was very clear how I was going to approach Claudia.” Translating Bass’ performance into her own was an exciting challenge. “I think Bailey did an amazing job in Season 1,” Hayles says of her predecessor. She was “able to pick up where [Bailey] left off” because of how clearly established that fledgling vampire was. Anderson...

Interview with the Vampire Season 2: Cast, plot, premiere date, and everything else there is to know
The timeless love story at the heart of AMC’s Interview with the Vampire won many fans in 2022, but with increased delays for the second season, a lot has changed during the extended hiatus.
It’s rare for a vampire drama to offer more than it borrows from the genre, but the show managed to break through armed with many of Anne Rice’s unique storylines from the novel series.
At the time of its launch, AMC was losing The Walking Dead as the long-running zombie drama signed off after 11 seasons, so new franchises were in demand by the cabler.
Interview with the Vampire broke through with critical acclaim. The show garnered plenty of praise and solid ratings, resulting in a very early renewal for Season 2.
Now that new episodes are approaching, we must review everything we know about the upcoming season.
Get all the details below.

The latest Interview with the Vampire season 2 trailers feature Jacob Anderson as Louis de Pointe du Lac, tyrannically dictating the story of his undeath to journalist Daniel Molloy (Eric Bogosian). The ancient vampire won’t lighten the historical weight buried in cryptic footnotes covered in blood. The contemporary talks are set in Prague, but recent clips extend grand theatrical overtures.
Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire season 2 will open with a new Parisian location, and fresh blood. AMC’s playbill says the part of Claudia has been recast with Delainey Hayles. Roxane Duran joins as the dollmaker Madeleine, a tragic figure with worse pains to suffer. The latest trailer also features a new, albeit secondary, antagonist, Santiago (Ben Daniels). If you’ve been theorizing that Armand has a hand in the suppression of Louis’ painful memories in AMC‘s Interview With the Vampire, the newest trailer for Season 2 adds more fuel for that fire. Louis’ memories come flooding back in the new Interview With the Vampire Season 2 trailer, released during The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live finale on Sunday, March 31, and they’re a doozy. We see Claudia (Delainey Hayles) scream, “It’s never been about me!” from the Théâtres des Vampires stage, her face bruised and bloodied, Louis attacking Lestat (Sam Reid) in a fit of rage, and more painful moments as Jacob Anderson‘s troubled vampire tells Daniel Molloy (Eric Bogosian) they need to “get every detail right” in their Dubai interview. It’s a gut-wrenching experience for him as “all those years” start “coming back.” Claudia is initiated into the Parisian vampire coven, which Armand...

Interview With the Vampire just dropped the best trailer you’ll see all season. Cut by series creator Rolin Jones, the three-minute Interview With the Vampire Season 2 trailer shows passionate moments between Louis (Jacob Anderson) and Armand (Assad Zaman) as their relationship develops, but underscoring it all is Lestat’s (Sam Reid) haunting presence and flashbacks to his time before Louis, a time when he met Armand and seemingly had an intimate relationship, and a building intensity of the Dubai interview in 2022. As if that weren’t enough, the trailer also reveals flashbacks to young Daniel Molloy’s (Luke Brandon Field) original interview with Louis in San Francisco in 1973. “You don’t understand the meaning of your own story!” the young journalist yells, directly referencing a line from Anne Rice‘s original novel of the same name. It also reveals Succession‘s Justin Kirk speaking to present-day Daniel (Eric Bogosian) in a mystery role.

The first season of AMC’s Interview With the Vampire did not lack for grand emotions. Season two, from the looks of a trailer for the series, will be even more operatic.
The series, part of a growing Anne Rice universe at AMC, is set to begin its second season on May 12. Season two, which the cable network ordered before the series premiere, finished filming in 2023 after receiving a waiver from SAG-AFTRA to continue production in Europe during the actors strike.
AMC’s description of season two reads, “In the year 2022, the vampire Louis de Pointe du Lac (Jacob Anderson) recounts his life story to journalist Daniel Molloy (Eric Bogosian). Picking up from the bloody events in New Orleans in 1940 when Louis and teen fledgling Claudia (Delainey Hayles) conspired to kill the Vampire Lestat de Lioncourt (Sam Reid), Louis tells of his adventures in Europe, a quest to discover Old...

Assad Zaman found out halfway through his Interview With the Vampire audition process that he wasn’t just vying for the role of Rashid. Unbeknownst to the actor, 33, series creator and showrunner Rolin Jones had big plans for his presence in what would become the hit TV adaptation of Anne Rice‘s most famous novel. The Season 1 finale revealed the truth behind the curtain: Rashid wasn’t assistant to Louis de Pointe du Lac (Jacob Anderson) — he was the 514-year-old vampire Armand, equipped with the flying “cloud gift” that Lestat de Lioncourt (Sam Reid) concealed from Louis for so long. Viewers will meet the real Armand in Interview With the Vampire Season 2, premiering Sunday, May 12 on AMC and AMC+. We know fans are dying to see this character fully fleshed out, so what do we know about Armand already? For starters, we know he’s of vital importance to Rice...

BBC Studios has acquired Werner Film Productions, the company behind Australian drama hit The Newsreader.
BBC Studios Productions Australia paid an undisclosed amount for Warner, marking the latest in several high-profile deals for the BBC’s commercial division. Last month, it paid £255M ($325M) for ITV’s share in their streamer, BritBox International.
The Werner deal is billed as “a significant investment” in Australia’s production ecosystem, and comes soon after BBC Studios CEO Tom Fussell confirmed the BBC company was raising its debt facility to £600M as it seeks to invest in new business and double its size by 2027/28.
Werner is best known making ABC drama series The Newsreader, which stars Anna Torv and Sam Reid as an embattled anchorwoman and an ambitious reporter who confront studio politics and their own issues during the 1980s, in association with eOne. The series has won multiple Logies and Aacta awards and season three is currently filming.

What’s more dangerous than interviewing a vampire? Interviewing two. Interview With the Vampire Season 2 has unveiled a tense new clip of the Dubai interview, and things aren’t looking good for Eric Bogosian‘s Daniel Molloy. As previously announced, Interview With the Vampire Season 2 premieres Sunday, May 12 at 9/8c on AMC and AMC+. In the scene above, Louis (Jacob Anderson) and Claudia (Delainey Hayles) are sitting at a café in Paris. They’re speaking telepathically at first, as these vampires can, discussing why Louis has fallen in love with photography. When they finally speak out loud, Claudia asks, “Who are you, Louis?” “I’m your brother,” he replies. “Who are you outside of me?” He calls himself a reticent vampire in a playful response, but Claudia gets serious when asking about Lestat (Sam Reid). “If there was no me, and there was no him, who would you be? What do you want?...

It’s hard to kill a vampire. It’s even harder to kill your vampire lover. Jacob Anderson‘s Louis de Pointe du Lac couldn’t finish the job of offing Sam Reid‘s Lestat de Lioncourt in the bloody Interview With the Vampire Season 1 finale, and that will come back to haunt him in Interview With the Vampire Season 2, premiering in 2024 on AMC. The new episodes cover the second half of Anne Rice‘s novel of the same name. Fans of the book know this means Lestat will have less of a presence in the new season, but the story won’t be completely devoid of the French vampire. TV Insider has an exclusive first look at Reid’s Lestat in Season 2 (above), and he’s seething with rage in the photo, his undead eyes glistening. Just what he’s angry about, however, is leaving us in throes of increasing wonder.
