It’s no secret that the moving image can leave a lasting impact, both consciously and subconsciously. This is especially true regarding images of people engaged in struggle and/or enjoying wild success—a phenomenon that supports the necessity for thoughtful representation of people of all backgrounds and experiences in film.
Today, representation is too often conflated with diversity, but they’re not exactly the same thing. Rotten Apple Productions has unveiled the trailer for its long-delayed feature film The Gate of Fallen Angels.
It was directed by Wolfgang Meyer prior to his work on upcoming releases 15 Till Midnight and Song of the Shattered. The trailer is embedded below.
The film stars Paton Ashbrook (daughter of Lorenzo Lamas and Daphne Ashbrook), Brandon Slagle (Kinky Killers, 15 Till Midnight), Dee Martin (Notorious, 15 Till Midnight), Lenny Safko (Methodic, Kinky Killers), Vinny Guadagnino (MTV's Jersey Shore in his feature film debut) as well as Brian Patrick, Elliot Dean James, Tara Punzone, and Lauren Francesca, who has gained attention recently portraying Lady Gaga in Barely Political's popular spoof.
The film was written by Wolfgang Meyer and Adam Vargas.

Tgofa HeaderWolfgang Meyer (15 Till Midnight) is producing another horror feature entitled The Gate of Fallen Angels. The film will star Paton Ashbrook, Brandon Slagle (Kinky Killers), Dee Martin (Notorious), Lenny Safko (Methodic), Vinny Guadagnino ("Jersey Shore") and many others. The film follows Victoria as she goes club-hopping at the local nightspots and later finds an ancient artifact. Soon, Satan, himself, turns up in these ancient fire stones to turn Victoria against herself. Have a look at this independent thriller and expect a release date, shortly.
