Kid Cudi is feeling light and carefree in the music video for his latest single, “Ill What I Bleed.’ The song is set to appear on the rapper’s forthcoming and much-delayed studio album Insano, currently scheduled to arrive in January 2024. The single initially arrived last month, alongside another track titled “Most Ain’t Dennis,” but was only available on Soundcloud as a gift to hold fans over until the record arrives. Now, Cudi is opening up the world of Insano in a visual sense, too.

Nas collapses history and culture in the jarring new video for “War Against Love,” a track off his new rarities compilation, The Lost Tapes 2.
Directed by Jason Goldwatch, the clip is a compelling visual collage that features Nas performing the track amidst an array of juxtapositions, such as side-by-side videos of mushroom clouds and blooming flowers, and a photo of Olympic track star Wilma Rudolph crossing the finish line next to a Civil Rights-era snapshot of police chasing two black teenagers (the same one famously used on the cover of...

Earl Sweatshirt has reunited with producer Alchemist for a deceptively sinister new track, “E Coli.” The song will appear on Alchemist’s upcoming Bread Ep, which arrives November 30th.
“E Coli” finds Alchemist crafting a woozy groove out of swaying strings, plodding drums and a hypnotizing vocal loop. Earl ambles over the understated beat, unspooling a characteristically vivid stream-of-consciousness verse that blends braggadocio, despair and humor with lines like, “My heart like my pen when I jot and it bleed/ My cart full of sin, when I shop it’s a spree.

Who says you can't go back home? On his 1999 single "Hate Me Now," Nas claimed he was the first rapper to bring a platinum plaque back to the projects, and for his latest video, for "Nasty," God's Son stripped his lavish lifestyle down and went back to his native Queensbridge, New York.
Directed by Jason Goldwatch, "Nasty" premiered online Tuesday (October 11). The clip starts with Nas, smoking a cigar in the backseat of a Rolls Royce, flanked by two bodacious beauties who fawn over the legendary rap star. Draped in diamond-encrusted jewelry and other high-priced accessories, Nas is driven through the dark New York City streets until the day turns to night.

Tyler, the Creator has made no secret of his affinity for the Neptunes and anything Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo have ever produced or anyone that may have sat under the Star Trak umbrella. So if it looks like newly-minted Vma nominee Tyler is having the time of his life as he and Star Trak alum Pusha T drive through Beverly Hills, sporting black tees and ski masks while egging shoppers, he probably is.
The video for Pusha and Tyler's "Trouble on My Mind" debuted Wednesday at midnight on MTV Jams. The Jason Goldwatch-directed video juxtaposes Pusha and Tyler in each other's worlds. After the two stalk Rodeo Drive the ski-masked way, Tyler's verse transports him and his idol to Downtown L.

Kid Cudi's Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager drops next week, and anticipation for the project continues to grow. The hype swelled on Friday (November 5), when a picture of Cudi holding a white sheet of paper that read "Maniac, Cage, Kid Cudi — Dir: Shia Labeouf," surfaced.
Cudi worked with Cage and singer-songwriter St. Vincent on the Motm II track "Maniac," which all of them performed — along with the Roots — on a recent episode of Late Night With Jimmy Fallon.
Cage and Labeouf are good friends, and Labeouf directed Cage's video for "I Never Knew You." And on Friday, Cage tweeted that the trio are indeed working on a short film.
This wouldn't be the first time Cudi has worked with an A-list actor.

As busy as he is , Kanye West took out some time this year to shoot a cameo with his protégé Kid Cudi in the vid for the latter's track "Erase Me." Shot by Jason Goldwatch -- who's helmed for Linkin Park, Jay-z, Ludacris and other Cudi clips -- the video takes the viewer backstage and on the tour bus with Cudi and his crew, who blab out silly things in British accents. Cudder dons the bell bottoms and big hair as Jimi Hendrix, while sidekick McLovin Christopher Mintz-Plasse spouts wisdom and truth from underneath a blonde wig. They drink, shenanigans...

The O.D.: A Mixtape Daily Exclusive
Jay Electronica is a hard man to pin down. The enigmatic Mc has been in demand with media outlets and artists alike, whether it's to pick his brain during interviews or for collaborations.
Jay, however, has remained elusive. Earlier this year, when his song "Exhibit C" hit the Web, it shook the underground and even made its way onto popular radio stations like Hot 97 in New York. Various MCs freestyled over the beat and many fans anointed him the future of hip-hop, although some people had no idea what the New Orleans Mc even looked like.

Fans may not get a feel for the real Kid Cudi in HBO's "How to Make It In America," but the rapper opens the door to the backstage of his career in the video for "Soundtrack 2 My Life." The track is culled from last year's "Man on the Moon: The End of Day," and is footage from his day-to-day touring sked. Forget bouncing, googly eyed girls, pools of money and flashy cars. More like Dorito riders, having some beers, brandishing toy Light Sabers and, sometimes, rapping with with Kanye. The synchronized clips are directed by Jason Goldwatch, who is helming...
