Exclusive: Megan Brophy Young, Matt Haberman and Chase Lehner have been promoted to Vice President of Talent at the leading PR firm Narrative.

Lehner will work out of the company’s Los Angeles office, with Brophy Young and Haberman continuing to co-lead the company’s New York City outpost, as Brophy Young splits her time between Texas and New York.

Young has spent more than a decade curating an impressive client roster including prominent actors, athletes, musicians, thought leaders and industry innovators. Exclusive: 42West Vice President Ashton Fontana is heading to Narrative, the public relations firm co-founded by Heidi Lopata, Liz Mahoney, Megan Moss Pachon, and Bryna Rifkin.

Fontana was named one of the NY Observer‘s 15 PR Rising Stars of 2018. She counts over a decade of experience working with established and emerging talent and filmmakers, and during her time at 42West led strategy on such feature campaigns as the Oscar-winning Spotlight, Call Me By Your Name, BlacKkKlansman, as well as Sundance Film Festival winners Dope and Dear White People, among others.

As of now, the current roster of clients who are joining her at Narrative include 3x Oscar winner Meryl Streep, West Side Story’s rising star Rachel Zegler, Xolo Maridueña, Reed Morano, and Akira Akbar.

Herrera most recently served as VP of Entertainment Strategies at Rogers & Cowan Pmk. She works with talent, filmmakers and showrunners, and has run awards campaigns for some of the industry’s top directors and writers. Reiss most recently served as VP of Entertainment Strategies, and has been representing creatives in film and television for 15 years.

Narrative was founded in 2017 by Heidi Lopata, Liz Mahoney, Megan Moss Pachon and Bryna Rifkin.

Narrative has brought aboard Maria Herrera and Rachael Reiss, publicists who most recently were Vice-Presidents at Rogers & Cowan Pmk.

Herrera most recently served as VP of Entertainment Strategies and has a decade working with talent, filmmakers and showrunners in releases and awards season campaigns. Reiss has been at it 15 years most recently as VP of Entertainment Strategies and repping companies and film and TV talent.

Exclusive: Alex Schack, who has spent the past seven years at Slate PR most recently as VP, is moving to Narrative as the entertainment public relations company continues to grow its staff. Talent publicists Megan Brophy and Matt Haberman have joined the east coast staff of entertainment PR firm Narrative.

Prior to joining Narrative, Brophy worked at Big Machine Record Label in Nashville, where she successfully managed Grammy and Acm Award campaigns. Before that, she worked with Haberman at public relations firm ID, where they were integral contributors to multiple Emmy, Golden Globe, SAG, Tony and Oscar campaigns.

With the nominations, everything followed the politically coolest version and will continue to do so. Any surprises will lean toward political correctness this year. We’re supposed to judge 100 per cent on merit, not 90 per cent and 10 per cent who is in the middle of a controversy [James Franco], who is deserving because their race or gender has been under-represented in the past.

The one fault the Academy has had in the last 10 or 15 years is not that it’s racist or gender-weighted. The biggest offense is that [Academy voters] are not doing their homework, not seeing the movies.
