Legacies EP Breaks Down Musical Episode's Biggest Surprises, Including [Spoiler]'s Emotional Cameo
Image
From Nimue’s arrival to Rafael’s departure, the third season of Legacies has been full of surprises, though none have been quite as lyrical as the jaw-droppers thrown at us in Thursday’s episode, which featured the long-awaited debut performance of Salvatore: The Musical.

Under the bright lights of the Salvatore School auditorium, Josie, Kaleb, Jed and Lizzie — as Elena, Damon, Stefan and Caroline, respectively — retold the story of the institution’s founding, hitting several iconic beats from The Vampire Diaries in the process: Stefan and Elena’s first meeting, Stefan and Damon’s dramatic reunion, Elena’s eternal back-and-forth between the brothers,...

Legacies Recreates Iconic The Vampire Diaries Moment in Musical Sneak Peek
Matthew Davis, Peyton 'Alex' Smith, Kaylee Kaneshiro, Danielle Rose Russell, Jenny Boyd, Aria Shahghasemi, and Quincy Fouse in Since When Do You Speak Japanese? (2019)
The Salvatore brothers return to Mystical Falls on Legacies Season 3 Episode 3.

As previously reported, the episode will be a musical that will pay homage to the shows that came before it:

The Vampire Diaries and The Originals.

The CW has now dropped a sneak peek of "Hello, Brother," one of the musical numbers that will be a part of the episode.

Josie is taking on the role of Elena Gilbert, while Kaleb and Jed will play Damon and Stefan Salvatore, the vampire brothers who stole her heart on the beloved series.

"Legacies is the literal legacy of the shows that came before it," executive producers Julie Plec and Brett Matthews said in a joint statement.

"Having worked in The Vampire Diaries universe for the last decade, Julie and I were thrilled to revisit our roots along with writer Thomas Brandon."

"Each show in this series has been a labor of love,...

Legacies Stars on Playing Tvd's Damon and Elena in Nostalgic Musical Episode: 'Oh Man, I'm Not Even Worthy'
Image
At long last, Thursday’s episode of Legacies (The CW, 9/8c) raises the curtain on Salvatore: The Musical. But what’s supposed to serve as a straight retelling of the supernatural school’s inception quickly becomes a musical recap of The Vampire Diaries‘ many sordid romances. And we have no complaints.

Following a brief-but-memorable audition process, Josie (Kaylee Bryant) and Kaleb (Chris Lee) land the roles of Elena Gilbert and Damon Salvatore, made famous 11 years ago by Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder. And just as Damon and Elena’s legacies (tee-hee!) are inherently woven into the fabric of this spinoff,...

Legacies First Look: Can Josie Be Saved?
Matthew Davis, Peyton 'Alex' Smith, Kaylee Kaneshiro, Danielle Rose Russell, Jenny Boyd, Aria Shahghasemi, and Quincy Fouse in Since When Do You Speak Japanese? (2019)
With one person dead, and two presumed dead, Legacies Season 2 Episode 16 could potentially up the body count some more.

Yes, the show is finally taking some big risks, but we don't think Josie is about to die at the hands of Dark Josie.

That's where Hope comes into it, according to The CW's synopsis for the episode, which could serve as the conclusion to Legacies Season 2.

In a race to save Josie (Kaylee Bryant), Hope (Danielle Rose Russell) infiltrates her subconscious and finds herself in a fairytale world filled with dark magic.

Back at the Salvatore School, Alaric (Matthew Davis), Lizzie (Jenny Boyd) and the Super Squad commit to their own risky plan to get Josie back despite the potential consequences. Aria Shahghasemi, Quincy Fouse, Peyton Alex Smith and Chris Lee also star.

Michael Karasick directed the episode written by Thomas Brandon & Sylvia Batey Alcala (#216). Original airdate 3/26/2020.

Thursday’s Legacies revealed that someone at the Salvatore School is not who they appear to be — which is saying a lot, considering a good portion of the student body is made up of literal werewolves.

While Lizzie and Hope battled their way through an alternate reality based on the hits of the 1980s (killing a minotaur in the process!), their fellow classmates navigated a different type of battlefield at the Salvatore School’s ’80s decade dance. Most notably, Josie and Landon almost had sex for the first time, though Josie pumped the brakes when she discovered a song Landon...

To do that, we'll be looking at the recent press release that The CW put out for episode 11. To get this spoiler session started, it's revealed that episode 11 is entitled, "We’re Gonna Need A Spotlight." Episode 11 sounds like it will feature some very intense and wild moments like all the past episodes have. We're going to see Alaric's daughters Lizzie and Josie back in action to make sure a talent show goes through as planned after Alaric decides to cancel it. On the supernatural side of things, a creature will show up that lowers everyone's inhibitions. This will no doubt cause some major drama! There's going to be a guest star...

‘Lady In The Mask’ Psychological Thriller Drama From Amblin TV Set At the CW
Image
The CW has put in development Lady in the Mask, a drama from Amblin TV and CBS Television Studios.

Written by Thomas Brandon, Lady in the Mask is a psychological thriller set in a near future where people can back-up their minds like they back-up their computer. It centers on a woman who awakens in the hospital after a suspicious car accident and learns her memory was damaged and restored from a two-year-old “back-up.” As she tries to return to her seemingly loving husband, high-profile job in her family’s tech Vc firm, and otherwise normal life, the details about her missing years begin to contradict one another, leading her to believe she’s being manipulated by someone close to her, that the accident was no accident and that she’s at the center of a much larger conspiracy — unless she’s just losing her mind.

The Tudors Review: Season Four Premiere
As the fourth season of The Tudors kicks off...

Everyone is mopping their sweaty brows but no one thinks to remove some of the many, many layers of clothing they each wear. Spanish Ambassador Chapuis writes to the Spanish Emperor about heartless King Henry and the some 500 men he has incarcerated as heretics, both Catholics and Protestants.

Chapuis also believes that the King is already secretly married to seventeen-year-old Catherine Howard.

At the palace, Henry comes to visit his nubile new bride. Catherine is laying on her bed behind a gauzy curtain and she is naked save for the thousands of rose petals scattered around her, American Beauty-style. The King gives her a yucky-old-man-looking-at-hot-teen-wife look. Catherine lures him into bed and…well, you know.

In a large room at the palace, sweaty aristocrats have gathered for a celebration. The royal trumpets blare and out comes King Henry kissing Catherine.
