Disney+ has unveiled the first look images for its upcoming documentary series featuring Keanu Reeves as the host and executive producer. The series, titled “Brawn: The Impossible Formula 1 Story”, will tell the remarkable story of how an underdog team defied all odds and won the World Championship in 2009.
The four-part series will follow the journey of Ross Brawn, the former technical director of Ferrari, who bought the Honda team for a symbolic £1 after the Japanese manufacturer pulled out of Formula 1 due to the global financial crisis. Brawn renamed the team as Brawn Gp and hired drivers Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello, who had been left without a seat.
With a limited budget, a small staff and an untested car, Brawn Gp faced a daunting challenge to compete against the likes of Ferrari, McLaren and Red Bull. However, thanks to Brawn’s brilliant strategy, innovative design and relentless work ethic, the...

Keanu Reeves is working on a documentary about Formula One for Disney+, Variety has learned.
The as-yet-untitled four-part docuseries will reportedly focus on Formula 1 managing director Ross Brawn, who in 2009 bought the Honda team, renamed it Brawn Gp and took it to two unprecedented championship victories.
Reeves will host the doc and has already been conducting interviews. Among those believed to be on board are former Ferrari chairman Luca di Montezemolo, whom Reeves was pictured with last month, and drivers Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello. Brawn himself is also set to take part.
All3Media-owned North One Television is understood to be producing the series.
Reeves has long been known as a speed freak with an extensive motorcycle collection. He even founded his own motorcycle manufacturer, Arch Motorcycle, with Gard Hollinger.
Last week, Reeves was pictured at the British Grand Prix in Silverstone, U.K. (pictured above), where he...

In October, Felipe Massa secured another season sitting in a Ferrari for the upcoming calendar – despite having a dismal start to the season, the Brazilian was rewarded for a string of improved performances, including a podium position in Japan. That was his first podium in 35 races. He has always been a number two in Ferrari colours, but does the 31 year old still have the pace to compete for one of the top 3 teams in the sport?
Massa’s career in red has been an eventful one to say the least: replacing fellow Brazilian Rubens Barrichello for the 2006 season at Ferrari, Massa landed himself a seat partnering Michael Schumacher in the German’s farewell year. Finishing on the podium in the European, French and Japanese GPs, plus victories in Turkey and is home race in Interlagos, Massa’s first season with Ferrari was fairly successful. And when the chequered flag waved...

Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton broke the Top Gear Star In A Reasonably-Priced Car lap record on last night's (February 17) show.
The sports star returned to the BBC entertainment series for a second attempt at the competition after struggling in wet and oily conditions on his previous effort in 2007.
Lewis managed to lap the Top Gear circuit in a Suzuki Liana in 1.42.9, smashing fellow F1 star Sebastian Vettel's previous record of 1.44.
"Wow, holy crap. I'm surprised," said Hamilton after the winning lap time was announced.
Host Jeremy Clarkson revealed to viewers that Hamilton had been so annoyed with his previous lap time that he had done a deal with producers to return to the show.
Hamilton revealed that the Top Gear challenge was a big talking point for F1 drivers and said that rival Rubens Barrichello had at one point printed out a T-shirt with 'I Beat The Stig' printed...

Formula 1 star Lewis Hamilton returns to Top Gear this week and wants to claim the Reasonably Priced Car lap time crown.
Last time Hamilton appeared on the show in December 2007, the sports star took the Suzuki Liana around the show's race course in 1:44.7.
However, Hamilton was hampered by wet weather and was unable to match the times of fellow F1 stars Nigel Mansell (1:44.6), Rubens Barrichello (1:44.3) and Sebastian Vettel (1:44.0).
Other features on this week's show include Jeremy Clarkson taking the new Kia Cee'd for a road test involving eels, curry, a rock legend, an American cop and a game of rugby involving James May, while Richard Hammond is road testing the Mastretta sports car.
Earlier this series, Homeland star Damian Lewis broke the record for the slowest ever celebrity lap on the car show.
Top Gear continues on Sunday nights on BBC Two.

RedBull Racing’s Sebastian Vettel claimed another title to add to his collection at the Interlagos circuit as he snatched a record breaking 15th pole position from his team mate Mark Webber.
RedBull’s ‘WunderKind’ took the record set in 1992 by Nigel Mansell in the dying seconds of qualifying for tomorrows Brazillian Grand Prix as he crossed the line almost a second faster than Webber.
Webber himself had just pipped Jenson Button who was looking likely to have secured McLaren a front row place ahead of his team mate Lewis Hamilton but Vettels performance shuffled the McLarens back into third and fourth places leaving the Ferraris struggling to match the pace set by their rivals.
Fernando Alonso was the faster of the Ferrari drivers and had seemed to find the limits of his car better than his team mate Filipe Massa who was wrestling with a stiff set up that...

Lewis Hamilton fought a terse battle with Fernando Alonso to take a convincing victory after Sebastian Vettel made an unscheduled exit from the race on the first lap at the Yas Marina circuit today.
Vettel looked confident that he would bring another race victory after his qualifying performance yesterday but fate conspired against him and after flying ahead in his usual style he was pitched unceremoniously from the track as his right rear tyre suddenly exploded. The young German was spun violently across the runoff area with his tyre in shreds and despite managing to limp back to the pits he was clearly unhappy when his engineers told him the damage was to severe to repair.
As Lewis Hamilton took full advantage of his good fortune and set about building up his lead, further down the field the Mercedes Petronas pairing of Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosberg pushed each other...

If you’re not sure what Top Gear is, all you need to know is that the show’s official description takes pride in being “one of the most illegally downloaded shows on the Internet.” The motoring show is that irreverent. It’s also charming, occasionally controversial, and always wildly fun. That’s why 60 Minutes featured it last night, calling it one of “the most popular television programs on the planet.” I’m more than happy to fill the void in Tvo coverage and bring you the vehicular mayhem.
The Features
We’re treated to a review of the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport. I’m not much of a car geek, but I’ll admit that the Veyron is one of my dream cars. Most of us will never be able to afford one, but watching one in action is a beautiful thing. Captain Slow himself, James May, hosts the piece,...

Today is National Coming Out day, which is lent special significance this year given that there have been several teen suicides in recent weeks that have been tied to anti-gay bullying. I've seen more than a few messages of support on Facebook and references to The Trevor Project and the It Gets Better Project which are both things that everyone should be aware of, though I'm sure most people visiting this website already are. Honestly, in a lot of ways I'm a private person (...says the girl who writes about herself on the internet, but seriously, stick with me here for a minute) and I really and honestly believe that no one should have to define themselves by who they're attracted to and that as long as everyone involved is a consenting adult it's nobody's business what or who you do on your own time. Unfortunately, society's not there yet.
