Former Chicago Bears linebacker Lance Briggs is moving into comics for his new project, with a crowdfunded sci-fi graphic novel that’s at once a sports comic and a polemic against systemic failures that drive the poor to crime.
The Trap centers around Jaylen Robinson, a rising star in the world of the new intergalactic sport, surfriding, even though he hails from the least likely starting point: Earth. But when he needs money in a hurry to repair broken equipment, he agrees to a heist that goes horribly wrong — and threatens to ruin his life completely.

A show about a pair of inept broadcasters is currently generating laughs on Go90. Now We’re Talking, a scripted series from Warner Bros.’ Blue Ribbon Content and Bleacher Report’s Uninterrupted, recently launched its third episode, with four more to come.
Now We’re Talking stars Tug Coker and Tommy Dewey as Tug and Tommy, a pair of washed-up NFL quarterbacks -- one starter and one backup -- who look to get into the commentary game. Due in part to the personal animosity they share toward one another, they make for a terrible on-screen duo. As the show’s trailer suggests, their chemistry is so awful that their broadcasts take on a “so bad it’s good” feel among fans.
Uninterrupted is known as a video platform on which athletes can share their thoughts directly with viewers, and Now We’re Talking features plenty of cameo appearances from pro athletes past and present.

Of course Tina Knowles didn't forget her son-in-law's special day! "Happy Birthday to my handsome, brilliant, loving son. The son I never had, but I have now. I love you Mama," Beyoncé's mom wrote to Jay Z on Instagram for his 46th birthday Friday. The businesswoman, designer and grandmother to Blue Ivy shared a pic of her alongside Bey and Jay on the red carpet, the family all smiles as they hugged each other and posed for the camera. Tina wasn't the only one sending the music mogul lots of love today. Celebrities including Ellen DeGeneres, Skip Bayless, and Lance Briggs all reached out to the singer on his b-day, sending him warm wishes (although Ellen was a little off on his...

No. 20 – "Walk of Punishment," Game Of Thrones (Episode 303, Premiered 04/21/2013, HBO)
"Walk of Punishment" is when Season 3 of Game of Thrones gets desperate—in a good way. More appropriately, it’s an episode where characters lacking power start to struggle with that truth: Tyrion is in a bind while being appointed the new Master of Coin of a broke and heavily indebted Kingdom. Dany is in great need for her army with minimal resources. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau has a particularly standout performance (for both the episode and his particular series arch) as once-again captive Jaime Lannister. When characters are pushed to their brink, their actions become...

For those who didn't know, ABC and its weird scheduling left out an episode at the end of Happy Endings Season 2 called "Kickball 2: The Kickening."
It aired in the UK and could be found online, but now that we're getting a weekly double dose of our favorite friends from Chicago, ABC decided to let the episode see the light of day on a Sunday evening.
Good thing because the Happy Endings crew brought its A game to the kickball tournament! Of course, I mean their A game in entertainment - because this group is not really a collection of fine athletes if we're being honest. In fact, they're pretty sad.
Alex's store "Xela" sponsored the team. It's pronounced Shayla which, I don't think I ever even realized, nor did her best friends.
I didn't even know you could pronounce the name of your store. I thought it was a...

Tonight at 10, ABC will be airing something doubly unusual: another episode of "Happy Endings" on a Sunday night — as part of a recent strategy where that show and "Don't Trust the (Bitch) in Apt. 23" have been airing on both Tuesdays and Sundays so they can finish their seasons before "Dancing with the Stars" returns in March — and an episode that was left over from the previous season. For scheduling reasons, tonight's episode, "Kickball 2: The Kickening" — a sports-filled episode guest starring Chicago Bears linebacker Lance Briggs — never aired last spring, and has been sitting in limbo...

Chicago Bears fans are starting to get a little excited with their 7-1, Nfc North leading team. Football experts and media types are starting to make some 2006 comparisons, which was when the Bears last made a Super Bowl appearance. Some sports journalists are even bringing up - gasp – the 1985 Bears into the discussion, which was the… Do I really need to explain Da ‘85 Bears?
The reason for the burgeoning excitement over this 2012 team is their Monstrous defense who are doing things that have never been done before. Lance Briggs and Charles Tillman each returned an interception for a touchdown in the same game; In Consecutive Weeks! The Bears have actually have returned 7 interceptions for touchdowns in just 8 weeks. The all time record is 9, which was set by the Chargers in 1961. Charles Tillman set a record by forcing 4 fumbles in the Bears 51-20 win in Tennessee last Sunday.

Happy Endings lived up to its name last week when ABC picked up the perennial bubble show for a full third season! That means we'll be getting, for the first time, 22 episodes of hibernating gays, invisible hula hooping, slutty baby tees and anything else this decadently daffy show can dream up.
But, in perhaps the best news of all, fans won't have to wait until September for a new installment of TV's best comedy -- turns out there is a season two episode that has yet to air!

Happy Endings is one of the kookiest sleeper hit sitcoms in recent years. The Chicago-set series is both wacky and unpretentious, and that combination helps the friendships between its six ensemble characters (played by Casey Wilson, Eliza Coupe, Elisha Cuthbert, Damon Wayans Jr., Zachary Knighton, and Adam Pally) seem real. It's hard not to dig everyone involved.
I got to catch up with five of the six thespians this week -- only Adam Pally wasn't there -- and I asked about the show's greatest assets: its fun characters, its frantic pace, and its daring weirdness.
One of my favorite things about Happy Endings is that the show never tries to establish each of you as a separate type. No one is "the quirky one." You all get to be insane and similar, but with sly differences, like real friends. That said: What do you think distinguishes your character?
