Emily Blunt is no stranger to switching up her appearance or her physique to accommodate the film she’s doing. She had to go through a similar process for Girl on the Train, where she couldn’t stand her transformation.

Girl on the Train was a 2016 psychological thriller based on Paula Hawkins’ novel of the same name written. Blunt played alcoholic Rachel Watson, a character who found herself entangled in a missing persons case. The book was already a worldwide phenomenon before it hit theaters. Blunt was able to recognize its popularity from her travels alone.
“I hadn’t read the book when I got approached about it. I’d just seen everyone reading the book on vacation or on the subway — the train! So when I was approached, I read it and very quickly...

I’m here because I woke up covered in blood,” says a tearful Rachel Watson (Emily Blunt) in the 2016 movie The Girl on the Train. She is standing in a sterile room while a dozen strangers sit in a circle on plastic foldable chairs, sheepishly avoiding eye contact with her. “I have bruises all over my arm from when I’ve fallen and someone’s helped me up,” she tells them.
This is one of the countless portrayals of an AA (Alcoholics Anonymous) meeting on screen, and it’s perhaps one of the most dramatic. “Hi, I’m [insert name] and I’m an alcoholic,” is a classic refrain used in movies and television where a character, fighting addiction, reaches breaking point and attends AA for the first time. Rocketman (2019). Madmen (2007). Smashed (2012). These all include depictions of AA meetings. There’s even a scene in Pixar’s aquatic delight Finding Nemo (2003) that...

“Universal Soldier” and “The Expendables” star Dolph Lundgren will challenge contestants to complete physical and mental challenges in “Take The Tower,” a new action-movie-inspired entertainment format for ITV in the U.K.
Lundgren will soon be seen in “Aquaman” and “Creed 2.” He will host “Take The Tower,” which sees contestants take on a combination of physical challenges and quiz questions that draw on action movies and their tropes. Contestants attempt to reach the top of the titular tower to win.
The six-part series of hour-long episodes is being made for the ITV4 channel by British producer Twofour, which is behind formats such as “This Time Next Year.”
“This is probably the most bonkers idea we’ve had the good fortune to make,” said Melanie Leach, the production company’s chief executive. “But in the words of the A Team, it’s so crazy, it just might work.”

2018 is promising to be quite a year for Emily Blunt. The British actress has received some of the best reviews of her career for the film “A Quiet Place,” which is directed by and co-stars her real-life husband John Krasinski (“The Office”). As a pregnant wife who helps to lead her family to safety by trying to outwit alien creatures by not making a sound, Blunt offers a nearly silent performance with acting registering mostly with her face, a bold move that could result in awards attention later in the year.

Weddings are a lovely time for any couple. But even the hottest pairs can't avoid the dreaded awkward engagement pictures. Forced smiling, weird hand placement and oddly-tilted heads make even Brad and Angelina look cuckoo-bananas.
So when Joshua (a photographer) and Rachel Watson had to take their engagement pictures, they weren't hungry for any awkward sauce. Rather, they decided to do something pretty epic: fashion their pics after famous movie and television posters. And yes, they win all the awards.
Not only do the Watsons get major points for creativity, they get cred for their seriously pun-tastic title changes. When they did a photo shoot inspired by the "Inception" poster, what did they call it? Reception, of course. And "An Education?" An Engagement. So. Much. Cute.
They even took their dedication a step further and filled in the poster credits with essential wedding information like names of the bridal party,...

We have a feeling Siskel and Ebert would have given these wedding invitations two thumbs up.
Southern California couple Joshua and Rachel Watson took inspiration from their favorite films and TV shows when they crafted the invitations for their June 1 wedding. With the help of photographer Jordan Nakamura, the Watsons inserted themselves into posters for films such as, "Casablanca," "Inception" and "Mad Men," then sent guests a DVD case with one of the posters as the cover and a CD of their favorite music inside.
Joshua, a photographer, told HuffPost Weddings in an email that he and Rachel, who works in film and television, felt "burnt out" with traditional wedding and engagement photography. "[Traditional photography] seems a little 'cut-and-pasted' to us," he said. "We wanted our engagement and wedding to be the first time we actually collaborated and created something together, and decided to produce this."
Check out the posters in the slideshow below.

Who says only men are haunted by the ghosts of war? Hilary Swank will show us how horrific it can be for both genders in this upcoming 2012 horror picture.
Written and directed by Shawn Lawrence Otto (The House of Sand and Fog), Dreams of a Dying Heart will be produced by U.K. company Intandem Pictures and will be one of the few movies to incorporate a woman's experience as a soldier in the current Iraq war.
Rachel Watson (Hilary Swank) returns home after surviving a fatal chopper crash, but soon after her husband Dan and 16-year old daughter Clara meet her at the airport, strange things begin to happen. The ghost of a boy dressed in blue seems to be haunting her. She wakes up screaming and covered in blood. Pictures of her are missing from the wall. Odd voices are on the phone. And a strange middle-easterner is in her house,...

Hilary Swank may be in a bit of a rough patch, but that doesn.t mean writer-director Shawn Lawrence Otto is having much trouble securing her a co-star for Dreams of a Dying Heart. As reported by Deadline, there are two famous faces interested in the part, Matthew McConaughey and Josh Brolin. Swank is reuniting with her Boys Don.t Cry production company, Killer Films, to play Rachel Watson, a soldier who returns from Iraq after surviving a helicopter crash. The trauma of the incident is so sever that even when she.s home, she suffers from terrible visions that somehow force her to fight for her daughter.s life. That.s about it in terms of what we know about the plot right now, but back in May, Lawrence Otto told Screen Daily, .We.re going to use mind-blowing visuals to tell a unique story of women and combat...
