Ray Armando Morabito, formerly known professionally as R. Armando Morabito, is an American music producer and songwriter based in Los Angeles, California. He was born on February 15, 1981, and adopted and raised by Francesco Morabito and Luisella Borra in northern Italy near Milan.
Passionate about music, movies, and influenced by the director and producer Michael Bay, Ray moved to London, UK at age 24 to study filmmaking at the London Metropolitan University and graduated in 2009. After achieving a BSc and an MA, he started his creative career in England directing commercials and promotional videos, and in 2013 he transferred permanently to the United States where he dedicated himself full-time to music production.
Ray primarily produces and performs electronic and pop music, but he has diversified his genre and musical style, drawing influences from hard rock, synth-pop, trap, and cinematic music. His music has been licensed and featured on ABC, FOX, NBC, CBS, The CW, MTV, ESPN, USA Network, Discovery Channel, and National Geographic. In addition to music, Ray is also an animal rights activist and a philanthropist.
