Best Quotes About Family In The Fast & Furious Movies
Image
The Fast & Furious franchise has evolved from street racing and basic heists to espionage. However, even as the stakes get higher and the threats get bigger, one thing has remained a constant: the theme of family. Dominic "Dom" Toretto frequently discusses family, whether he's referring to his crew, friends, or son.

Dom's love of family has spawned many memes, but he isn’t the only one who discusses family in the Fast & Furious franchise. Other characters also understand how much Dom respects his crew, which fans often see in their remarks.

Update: 2025/01/14 07:15 Est By Brian Cronin

There is So much talk about family in the Fast and Furious films that I was easily able to add even five more "family" quotes to this fun list.

Den Of Thieves Almost Became A TV Show Instead Of A Film Franchise [Exclusive]
Image
It's extremely early in the year, but I imagine it will be tough for another 2025 movie title to come along that's more metal than "Den of Thieves 2: Pantera." But if this grungy, pulpy franchise had gone a slightly different way during development, we would have been deprived of that title -- and indeed, the "Den of Thieves" movies in their entirety. Instead, we came very close to getting a "Den of Thieves" TV series.

"When I did my research for 'Den 1' back in the day, I just came across so many different heists and I got to know the cops that were investigating them, and I just had so much material that we knew that we were going to be building a franchise," writer/director Christian Gudegast told me in a recent interview. "There was a minute way back in the day where it was going to become a TV series.

Leo’s life has always been a bit of a mystery. Sure, he’s famous for dating models, but aside from that? The dude keeps things locked down tight. Social media? Nope. Personal life? Even tighter. So, get this—The Hollywood Reporter dropped a bombshell that some crew members on Once Upon a Time in Hollywood were told to steer clear of making eye contact with Leo. Why? It’s all part of that signature mystery vibe he’s nailed for years. Leo’s...

Why Iron Man 4 Was Never Made, The Surprising Reason Marvel Decided Against It!
Image

Iron Man changed the game, putting the MCU on the map and transforming Robert Downey Jr. into Hollywood’s most iconic (and highest-paid) hero. So, it begs the question: Why did Iron Man 4 never fly into theaters? Spoiler alert—it’s not because Tony Stark’s arc was neatly tied up. This decision has multiple layers, and here’s the twisty backstory behind it.

Right after Iron Man 3 blasted into theaters in 2013, talks of a fourth film were happening. Marvel’s golden goose was hotter than ever, and the fans wanted more. But Marvel Studios had a vision: a more giant sandbox with an entire team of heroes, and they needed Tony to hold the squad together—not hog the spotlight solo. So, just as Marvel’s big boss,...

Okay, Toy Story fans—brace yourselves. Toy Story 3 almost took a wild turn, and not the kind that would’ve made you sob uncontrollably at the end. Nope.

Michael Arndt, the screenwriter, spilled the beans on how the first draft was a wacky comedy chase scene. Forget the tear-jerking incinerator scene and the final goodbye to Andy—this ending had the toys running for their lives on Rc cars, planes, and motorcycles. Not precisely a tear-fest, huh?

Arndt spilled the tea in an interview with Script Apart, revealing that in the original script, the toys had to race back to Andy’s house before he left for college. So far, so good, right? But then, things got really out of hand. The gang stumbles...

When George Clooney Planned To End Brad Pitt’s Career With Just A Prank
Image
Did George Clooney plan to end Brad Pitt’s career? (Photo Credit – Apple TV)

George Clooney is a master of many things—acting, directing, charm, and, most notoriously, pranks. In his Ocean’s Eleven days, he had a blast pulling stunts on Brad Pitt, his co-star and partner-in-crime. But Clooney wasn’t just satisfied with a quick laugh; he had something bigger in mind, a prank so epic that he boldly claimed it could “end [Pitt’s] career.” And when George Clooney plots a prank, you know it’s not just a one-off gag but a carefully crafted masterpiece.

Clooney shared his devilishly playful plan during a talk at the Adobe Summit in Las Vegas. “I am working on a prank that will end his career. If you take the time, if you’re willing to sit on one for a couple of years and just plant the seed… there’s no rush,...

Ian McKellen Actually Rejected The Role Of Dumbledore In Harry Potter
Image
Did Ian McKellen reject the role of Dumbledore? (Photo Credit – Koimoi)

Ian McKellen is famous for his sharp discernment, even if it means turning down some of the most high-profile gigs. In a BBC HARDtalk interview, he took a trip down memory lane, revealing why he rejected the coveted role of Dumbledore in the Harry Potter franchise—a decision that still raises eyebrows among fans.

After Richard Harris, who originally played the wise headmaster in Harry Potter, passed away in 2002, McKellen seemed the natural choice to fill those iconic robes. But McKellen turned down the role, citing Harris’s strong disapproval of him as the core reason. “I couldn’t take over the part from an actor I had known didn’t approve of me,” McKellen said candidly.

Their feud, if one could call it that, had subtle beginnings but ran deep enough to influence McKellen’s decision. Harris had once dismissed McKellen,...

Here’s The Real Reason Mark Ruffalo Will Never Star In A Solo Hulk Movie
Image
Did Mark Ruffalo refuse to star in a solo Hulk movie? (Photo Credit – Instagram)

Mark Ruffalo just smash-ed our hopes of ever seeing a solo Hulk movie. And it’s not because Marvel doesn’t love him—oh, they do. It’s because it’s just too damn expensive. Yep, the reason we won’t see Bruce Banner go full green for a solo adventure anytime soon is all about the price tag. In an interview with GQ, Ruffalo admitted, “I’d love to do a standalone Hulk, I just don’t think that’s ever going to happen.” Why? Well, here’s where it gets real: “It’s very expensive if you did a whole movie, which is why they use the Hulk so sparingly. I priced myself out!” Ouch. Even Hulk’s massive CGI budget is a tough pill to swallow, especially with Marvel’s wallet these days.

Her sty, list Law Roach spilled the tea on something shocking—Zendaya has never worn pieces from the fashion industry’s “big five” luxury house, not on the red carpet, not the press, not even in public. Christian Bale isn’t just known for his transformative acting skills and intense roles—his life behind the scenes is as full of grit and metal as his on-screen personas. In a candid throwback, Bale opened up about how his body became a literal metal patchwork after years of injuries. “I’ve had so many accidents,” he shared, revealing a lifetime of scars and screws that could rival the most brutal action hero.

Bale’s career has been a thrilling ride of extreme transformations, from The Machinist to Batman Begins, but his time on set is only half the story. While filming Knight of Cups with director Terrence Malick, he dove into the role of a disillusioned screenwriter drifting through LA’s glamorous but soulless landscape. Working with Malick, known for his unconventional methods, was an experience he embraced.

Did George Clooney propose to Amal Alamuddin? (Photo Credit – Instagram)

It’s a tale as classic as Clooney himself. Eight months after their whirlwind romance led to a dreamy Venetian wedding, George Clooney shared details of his surprise proposal to the accomplished human rights lawyer Amal Alamuddin, who would soon become Mrs. Clooney. And let’s just say his proposal story was packed with charm, a touch of suspense, and that Clooney wit.

But here’s the twist: “We’d never talked about marriage,” he explained. “There wasn’t like, ‘Maybe we should get married?’ I dropped it on her.” When George Clooney decides to make a move, he’s all in—even if it means throwing caution (and his knee) to the wind.

The night of the proposal was classic Clooney simplicity.

Why Leonardo DiCaprio Refuses To Do Sequels: Here’s Why Leonardo DiCaprio Has Never Starred In A Sequel
Image
Leonardo DiCaprio at a film premiere, explaining why he chooses not to do sequels (Photo Credit – Instagram)

Here’s the real reason Leonardo DiCaprio has never starred in a sequel: he’s too good for them. That might sound bold, but let’s be honest—when you’re Leo, your film career is a gallery of stand-alone masterpieces, not a never-ending franchise treadmill. From Titanic to Inception, he’s carefully chosen films that tell unique, self-contained stories—and he’s stuck with that philosophy like a movie buff who refuses to watch the extended director’s cut.

Let’s start with the cold, hard truth: sequels don’t fit DiCaprio’s career plan. In a recent Variety interview, Leo explained, “Every movie I’ve done has been its piece of individual art.” Translation: he’s not into cashing in on sequels to keep a franchise alive. It’s all about that one-time magic.

When it comes to best action franchises, few made a significant impact as The Fast and the Furious. Doms Obsession With Family Explained By This 13-Year-Old Fast Five Line
Image
Dominic "Dom" Toretto's (Vin Diesel) apparent obsession with family was explained by one line in Fast Five 13 years ago, making perfect sense now. The Fast & Furious movies have had a successful run since the franchise first started in 2001 with The Fast and the Furious, with an astonishing 10 movies to date. However, while Fast & Furious is known for unbelievable car stunts and action-packed sequences, another major motif is at the forefront.

One of the most famous elements of the franchise in recent years has been its theme of family, with Dom becoming synonymous with the "family meme." Dominic Toretto's family remains the main characters of the movies, with Dom himself having been the face of Fast & Furious from the beginning. Yet the family plot point makes a lot more sense given the surrounding lore that notably comes up in Fast Five, during a key conversation between Dom and father-to-be...

Furious 7: Which Brian O'Conner Scenes Weren't Paul Walker
Image
Warning! Contains spoilers for Fast X!After Paul Walker tragically died in 2013 during the filming of Furious 7, the team faced the difficult task of giving Walker's character, Brian O'Conner, a proper send-off from the franchise. Indeed, Walker's Fast and Furious role has come to define the vast majority of the action, crime, and street racing movie saga. Producer Neal Moritz said that in the immediate aftermath of Walker's death, they were so lost that they thought they would have to cancel the movie, but instead, its ending had to be changed.

In November 2013, while in Santa Clarita, CA for a fundraiser, Walker met up with his business partner, race car driver Roger Rodas. Walker and Rodas went for a drive in a Porsche Carrera Gt, but the ride ended in tragedy with Walker losing his life. Although he had finished most of his on-camera work for Furious 7,...

Fast & Furious 11s Returning Character Tease Brings Justice To The Franchises Most Underrated Movie

Fast and Furious 11 is set to be the biggest movie in the Fast franchise to date, with a potential returning character putting the focus back on a forgotten movie in the franchise. The Fast series of films first started way back in 2001, and since then, the films have undergone a transformation that has led them to becoming completely unrecognizable from the first movies, aside from the characters that appear.

Best Undercover Cop Movies, Ranked

The undercover cop storyline has been around for many years, providing some well-acclaimed entries in the crime film genre. When the central protagonist, a police officer, gets involved with a dangerous group, the rest of the movie becomes an intense experience that leaves the viewers nervous for the hero. However, there are also instances where the undercover cop plot can be used for more comedic effect, as the protagonist could get put in a setting that feels out of place for them.

As seen with some of these movies, the cop protagonist ends up getting in too deep with his assignment, or their true identity comes out and jeopardizes the mission. This leads to all kinds of conflict that increases the intensity to another level. Whether comedic or dramatic, these movies have plenty of unexpected twists and hard-hitting action to keep the viewers engaged. From funny hits like 21 Jump Street...

Fast & Furious 11 Ending The Franchise Means It Can't Ignore Brian O'Connor Any Longer
Image
Fast & Furious 11 must find a sensible way of bringing Brian O'Connor for a proper ending. Failing to acknowledge Brian would play against the franchise's finale. As the end of the main saga, Fast & Furious 11 must honor Paul Walker and Brian O'Connor properly.

Fast & Furious 11, or Fast X: Part 2, is being described as the franchises finale, meaning the series cannot ignore Brian OConnor any longer. Paul Walker, who played Brian in six Fast and Furious movies, tragically passed away on November 30, 2013, when filming for Furious 7 had yet to be completed. The Fast Saga has referenced Brian and honored Walkers legacy within the franchise multiple times now, from the emotional ending scene of the seventh installment to Little Brian. Still, Brians presence in the story has been very limited, which is something Fast 11 will have to address.

While the Fast and Furious timeline now includes 11 movies in a rather confusing...

Why Fast & Furious' Paul Walker Turned Down $10m Superman Role - "This Is Not Me"
Image
Paul Walker, known for his role in Fast & Furious, turned down a $10m offer to play Superman, stating it was not the right fit for him. The offer came in the early 2000s when DC was planning to reboot Superman's live-action career. The late Paul Walker, best known for his role as Brian O'Connor in the Fast & Furious franchise, could have been Superman, but ultimately turned down the $10m role. Fast & Furious Perfectly Explained Why Brian Retires 4 Years Before Furious 7’s Paul Walker Sendoff

Fast and Furious 9 was released in 2021, and F9's ending definitely sets up future Fast & Furious movies. Originally set to release in 2020, Fast & Furious 9 appeared in theaters after a year-long delay caused by Covid-19. The movie was highly anticipated for a variety of reasons, such as the return of Sung Kang's Han and discovering the truth behind...

Vin Diesel Honors Late Fast & Furious Star Paul Walker With Touching Birthday Post
Image
Vin Diesel shares a touching post on Instagram in honor of what would have been Paul Walker's 50th birthday, reflecting on their close bond and the impact Walker had on his life. Diesel shares a heartfelt memory of Walker's selflessness, highlighting his passion for helping others as a first responder. While it remains uncertain if Walker will be digitally recreated in future Fast & Furious movies, Diesel hints that the franchise will find a way to truly say goodbye to Walker and the beloved character of Brian O'Connor.

Fast & Furious star Vin Diesel shares a touching post on Instagram in honor of what would have been Paul Walker's 50th birthday. The Fast and the Furious introduced audiences to Diesel's Dominic Toretto and Walker's Brian O'Connor back in 2001, and the pair would lead a host of sequels. Walker tragically died in 2013, however, midway through filming Furious 7, but Brian...

10 Harsh Realities Of Watching Fast Five After 12 Years & 5 More Sequels
Image
Roman's comedic antics have become tiresome and he has become a burden to Dom's team. His character needs to either dial back his freakouts or sit out future adventures. Ending Dom's story believably will be challenging because his rebellious and thrill-seeking nature makes it difficult for him to settle into a quiet domestic life. Dwayne Johnson's Luke Hobbs has been instrumental in the franchise's popularity, injecting fresh blood and a sense of semi-believability to the action scenes. The absence of his charismatic presence in the main series is noticeable.

Fast Five is a very significant movie in the Fast & Furious franchise, but 12 years after its release, it highlights some major issues the series has encountered. Released in 2011, Fast Five follows Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and Brian O'Connor (Paul Walker) as they lead their family of street racers on a heist in Rio de Janeiro. In addition to facing the city's criminal underworld,...

No Vin Diesel? What Fast & Furious Would Look Like With Original Casting Option
Image
Vin Diesel's portrayal of Dominic Toretto in the Fast & Furious franchise has shaped it into the action-packed, fun film series it is today. Timothy Olyphant was initially considered for the role of Dom, and his portrayal would have brought a more serious and contemplative tone to the movies. Vin Diesel's commitment to the franchise and his ability to promote the films has played a significant role in the franchise's success, making it one of the most lucrative film series of all time.

Vin Diesel is the face of the Fast & Furious franchise, but he wasn't the first choice for Dominic Toretto, and the series could have looked entirely different. While the original The Fast and the Furious sees Brian O'Connor (Paul Walker) as the lead character, with the undercover cop tasked with infiltrating Dominic Toretto's crime organization, the series later shifted gears by focusing on Dom and...

Fast & Furious Ending Means 1 Iconic Franchise Location Must Return In Fast 11
Image
Fast & Furious 11 is part of the plans for the franchise's ending, and it could include a return to Race Wars. The return of Race Wars in Fast & Furious 11 could provide a proper ending and bring the franchise back to its street racing roots. Including Race Wars in the story would explore Dom's legacy, allow for character reunions, and serve as a place for the team to regroup and prepare for their rematch with Dante.

The Fast & Furious franchise is ending, and that means the iconic location of Race Wars needs to be featured in Fast & Furious 11. Universal and Vin Diesel have confirmed plans for the main Fast Saga to end, even if the specifics of that plan are still evolving. It was originally announced that Fast & Furious 11 would be the final chapter, but there have since been announcements for a new Luke Hobbs spinoff after Dwayne Johnson's cameo...

Fast X's Most Dramatic Brie Larson & Jason Momoa Scenes Are Way Less Tense In Gag Reel [Exclusive]
Image
Where to Watch Powered by Fast X, the latest installment in the franchise, features intense and dramatic scenes, but an exclusive gag reel reveals the cast struggling to keep a straight face during filming. Jason Momoa's arrival as the flamboyant villain Dante in Fast X has received high praise, with his performance likened to that of the Joker. Brie Larson's role as Mr. Nobody's daughter in Fast X was similarly well-received, showcasing her action skills and charisma, leading to hopes for her character's return in Fast and Furious 11.

Though one of the more intense installments in the franchise, an exclusive Fast X gag reel makes some of the movie's more dramatic scenes far less tense. The latest chapter marks the first part of the mainline franchise finale, pitting Vin Diesel's Dom Toretto and his family against Jason Momoa's Dante Reyes, the son of Fast Five's...

Fast X Releases Opening Scene Ahead of Digital Release

The opening sequence from Universal Pictures' Fast X Jason Momoa's Dante Reyes as the franchise's newest villain.

To mark the digital release of Fast X, Universal Pictures dropped the sequel's 6-minute opening sequence, which featured a callback scene from 2011's Fast Five involving Vin Diesel’s Dom Toretto and Paul Walker's Brian O'Connor stealing drug lord Hernan Reyes' family vault. The incident resulted in the death of Hernan, signaling the start of Dante's elaborate revenge against Dom and his family.

The tenth installment to the blockbuster franchise is currently one of the highest-grossing movies of 2023, with a current worldwide gross of over $660 million. However, it failed to surpass its last two predecessors, F9 and The Fate of the Furious. The film landed a digital release for June 9, just a few weeks after it premiered in theaters.

Fast X's Trailer Strongly Hints At A Fast Five Character Death
Image
The new Fast X trailer strongly hints that Diogo from Fast Five will die during the new movie. Universal is ramping up the marketing campaign for the second to last entry in the main Fast Saga story. Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his crew return for another adventure that brings them into conflict with Dante (Jason Momoa), the son of Fast Five's villain Reyes. The villain gives the two Fast & Furious movies a strong connection, one that will include showing flashbacks to the fifth film that add Dante into the franchise's history.

Since Dom and Brian O'Connor (Paul Walker) were responsible for Reyes' death in Fast Five, Dante is out to get revenge and show the franchise's lead what it is like to lose someone close to him. The Fast X marketing campaign has heavily leaned into the idea that not all the main Fast & Furious characters will survive the movie.

Fast X’s Death Tease Means Breaking A 10-Year Fast & Furious Trend
Image
Fast X might kill a main character, but doing so would require breaking a 10-year Fast & Furious franchise trend. With the Fast Saga racing toward its conclusion, the stakes for Dominic Toretto and his team are inevitably rising. Jason Momoa's villain Dante is connected to the past and is threatening to kill a member of Dom's team. It might seem like a stretch that the character will be successful, but the trailers have played up someone dying, and even director Louis Leterrier has mentioned that Fast X could kill main characters. That tease has created an understandable concern that not everyone will make it out of Fast X alive.

The Fast & Furious franchise has turned away from killing characters in recent years, though. The movies have been more focused on bringing back characters who died, like Han, to expand the cast than whittle the ensemble down. This...

Vin Diesel Explains The Perfect Inspiration For Brie Larson's Fast X Character
Image
Vin Diesel reveals the perfect inspiration for Brie Larson's Fast X character. The long-running franchise centered around street racing, the occasional heist, and Vin Diesel's love of family is set to receive an epic two-part finale starting with Fast X. The penultimate installment introduces two major characters played by A-list actors – Games of Thrones alum Jason Momoa as Dante Reyes, the son of Fast Five's Hernan Reyes and Fast X's central villain, and the Oscar-winning Brie Larson as Tess, a new ally for Dom's crew.

For a new profile of Larson by Harper's Bazaar, Diesel spoke to the fashion magazine and revealed that the actor based her Fast X character on his eight-year-old daughter, specifically her wardrobe. When the two first met, Diesel's daughter was wearing a jacket with “Good Vibes Only” printed across the back, which Larson decided to incorporate into the character of Tess. Read...

There is plenty of speculation about who is Brie Larson's character in Fast X, leading to some fascinating theories. Ever since it was announced that the Captain Marvel star was joining the Fast & Furious franchise, the identity of her character has kept fans wondering. It has been confirmed that Brie Larson's character is named Tess, but there is some thought that her last name will be very important. With the Fast & Furious movies becoming more willing to retcon the franchise's past and introduce secret family members for multiple characters, speculation has turned to the same being true for Tess.

Details about Brie Larson's Fast X character have mostly been kept under wraps, but there have been a few telling teases about Tess' true identity. Hayley Williams, Hozier, and a Squad of Drag Queens Spread Joy at Nashville’s ‘Love Rising’ Concert

Radical joy and consistent action were the messages at Nashville’s Love Rising benefit concert on Monday, an event that drew supporters to the city’s downtown Bridgestone Arena. Who Is Fast X’s Post-Credits Surprise Cameo? 4 Candidates
Image
Fast X's post-credits scene reportedly includes a surprise cameo, and there are a few massive options for who could appear. The Fast & Furious franchise does not always utilize post-credits scenes to help set up the sequels. The movies have been a bit more selective with when and where to include such a scene. Audiences have learned that Letty was still alive, seen Deckard Shaw kill Han, and Han and Shaw reunite in previous Fast & Furious end credits scenes. With Fast X poised to set up the franchise's final installment, it will include a bonus tease potentially setting up Fast & Furious 11.

The big tease to this point is that Fast X's post-credits scene has a special guest cameo. The report suggests that the cast and crew behind the tenth Fast & Furious movie secretly got together ahead of the film's premiere in May 2023 to film the surprise. Details...

Family: Fast/Furious, 2001-2017
How can we not talk about family When family's all that we got?—Wiz Khalifa (feat. Charlie Puth), See You AgainWhat a long, strange ride it's been… and still some way to go. As I write, the eighth film in the Fast/Furious series (Ff) is still playing in thousands of cinemas worldwide. I won't concern myself here with the box-office performance of The Fate of the Furious—nor will I attempt synopsis of this or the previous installments—except to note that enough money was taken on opening-day alone to confirm we can expect the ninth and tenth in this prodigiously lucrative Universal franchise to hit our screens late spring or early summer, in 2019 and 2021.Ideally the 10th—and, presuming Vin Diesel's September 2015 comment about "one last trilogy" is honored, final—picture should arrive exactly 20 years after Rob Cohen’s The Fast and the Furious bowed on 22nd June,...

Furious 7 (2015)
The Way Furious 7 Ended Before Paul Walker's Death
Furious 7 (2015)
The Fast and Furious franchise has continued to dominate the box office even after the tragic death of star Paul Walker altered the end of Furious 7. Walker died during the production of Furious 7, forcing production to halt as the cast and the crew mourned the loss of their dear friend. When production resumed, it was clear to writer Chris Morgan that the ending of Furious 7 would have to be changed for not only practical reasons, but also as a proper goodbye to Walker. Morgan recently sat down with Collider and spoke of the tragic event that altered the Fast and Furious franchise.

In the end of Furious 7, Walker's character Brian O'connor was given a heartfelt goodbye by his on-screen brother Vin Diesel. But fans of the franchise have always wondered what would have happened had Walker not passed away. While speaking to Collider, Morgan offered what...

Furious 7 (2015)
The Sweet (Albeit Confusing) Way 'The Fate of the Furious' Pays Tribute to Paul Walker
Furious 7 (2015)
Furious 7 was for Paul -- a dedication card at the end of the last Fast and Furious installment read, "For Paul," honoring the late Paul Walker, who died during production. The Fate of the Furious, meanwhile, pays its respects to Brian O'Connor, the FBI agent-turned-street racing outlaw Walker played in six movies.

Spoilers for one major plotline in F8 below.

The setup for the tribute is a bit involved, but the gist of it is this: Cipher (Charlize Theron) is a megalomaniac hacker who holds Dominic Toretto's (Vin Diesel) son hostage in order to force Dom to do her bidding. Yup, Dom has a son, and the mother is Elsa Pataky's character, Elena, who early on informs Dom that she calls their son Michael (his middle name) because a father should be the one to name his child.

Furious 7 Was Almost Canceled After Paul Walker's Death
Paul Walker at an event for Fast & Furious (2009)
In just a few short days, fans will be reunited with Dominic Torreto (Vin Diesel), Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) and the rest of their favorite characters when The Fate of the Furious hits theaters, which will mark the start of the franchise's final trilogy. The last installment, Furious 7, may have been one of the most tumultuous productions in recent memory, with the cast and crew having to deal with the sudden death of Paul Walker, who passed away over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend in 2013, during a fatal car accident. While the movie ended up proving to be a critical and a commercial success, along with providing a fitting farewell for Paul Walker and his beloved character Brian O'Connor, the movie was almost entirely cancelled after this untimely death.

The cast and crew of Furious 7 had all broke for the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, with production slated to resume the following Monday,...

Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Ludacris, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, and Nathalie Emmanuel in The Fate of the Furious (2017)
'The Fate of the Furious' Review: Vin Diesel Rides High on Fumes
Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Ludacris, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, and Nathalie Emmanuel in The Fate of the Furious (2017)
It's party time for action junkies and auto-erotics. The Fate of the Furious, a.k.a. Furious 8, is a bolt of greased lightning that never lets up on the shake, rattle and hum. Is it as killer good as 2015's Furious 7? Don't get greedy. That thunderously exciting and surprisingly touching blockbuster would have made the ideal capper to the Fast and the Furious franchise that began in 2001. As a tribute to Paul Walker, who died in car crash unrelated to the movie, Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth put their...

Will The Fate of the Furious Shatter Box Office Records?
Vin Diesel
DreamWorks Animation's The Boss Baby had no trouble repeating for a second straight box office win last weekend, taking in $26.3 million, easily knocking back newcomers Smurfs: The Lost Village ($13.2 million), Going in Style ($11.9 million) and The Case for Christ ($3.9 million). This weekend, only one movie arrives in wide release, Universal's The Fate of the Furious, with Open Road Films' animated tale Spark opening in just 350 theaters, far less than originally expected, which is probably a good thing for that movie, since it would have likely been just decimated by this high-octane sequel. With nothing standing in its way, we're predicting that Furious 8 will debut with a record-breaking $152.6 million this weekend.

If that figure is accurate, it will break the all-time April opening weekend record of $147.1 million set by its predecessor Furious 7 in 2015. That movie opened in 4,004 theaters two years ago, but Box Office Mojo reports that Furious 8 will...

Sung Kang at an event for Fast & Furious 6 (2013)
Will Sung Kang Return as Han in Fast and Furious 9?
Sung Kang at an event for Fast & Furious 6 (2013)
We already know that the eighth installment of the Fast and Furious franchise, The Fate of the Furious, arriving next weekend, will set up the final trilogy, with Fast & Furious 9 arriving on April 19, 2019 and Fast & Furious 10 bringing the franchise to a close on April 2, 2021. The franchise has had a unique timeline, with characters such as Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) coming back from the dead, while others like Brian O'Connor, played by the late Paul Walker, were given a fitting tribute. Still, seemingly anything is possible in this high-octane universe, and now it seems we may be seeing another deceased character, Sung Kang's Han, a.k.a. "Han Seoul-Oh" on the big screen in Fast & Furious 9.

Sung Kang's Han was killed at the end of 2006's The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, but he then returned in 2009's Fast & Furious, 2011's Fast Five and 2013's Fast & Furious 6, when...
