Two “Bridgerton” superfans are getting the wedding of their dreams in the Netflix reality special “The Event of the Season: A Bridgerton Wedding,” airing May 21.
In honor of Season 3 of “Bridgerton” premiering, the streamer dropped a teaser for the spin-off on Friday. The special stars Tiffany, 27, and Shanti, 28, as the lucky couple who experience all the luxury and decadence of the Regency Era in a lead-up to their big day.
The New Yorkers, who first met in high school, have been together for 10 years.
“I wasn’t really looking for someone, and Tiff wasn’t really looking for someone. We were really just in our own bubble in life, going through life and finding ourselves,” Shanti told Tudum. “We were having those tough conversations as friends. We got a stronger connection through that. So that made us be like, ‘Wait a minute, actually, I could see this person as my person.

How do the makers of Bridgerton keep a fandom as dedicated as theirs guessing? How does the Netflix show surprise a core of fans who are so intimately familiar with Julia Quinn’s source books that they’re anticipating every blush and ball before it even gets to the screen?
One solution, as has happened in season three, is to play with the established order of things. Though Benedict Bridgerton’s romance follows on from that of his brother Anthony’s in Quinn’s book series, the TV show has (rightly!) vaulted over that to first show the love story between Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington.
Their other answer? Invention. In addition to TV-only characters Madame Delacroix, Will and Alice Mondrich and Queen Charlotte herself, a new raft of invented-for-the-show characters appear in season three. Here they all are, along with info on the actors playing them, plus a couple...

Other storylines include Francesca Bridgerton’s (Hannah Dodd) introduction into society which she doesn’t take too well.
A longtime series writer, Jess Brownell, steps into season three’s showrunner shoes and brings back a mix of old favorite characters into a greater spotlight and new characters to come in and shake up society. Here’s all the actors who are main players and who they’ll be playing in season 3.

Penelope Featherington and Colin Bridgerton entering into a unique arrangement, J.Lo fighting evil artificial intelligence, the roasting of an NFL legend, a retelling of the invention of the Pop Tart, Brooke Shields and Benjamin Bratt at war and John Mulaney’s six-night live comedy event from Los Angeles are some of the big titles hitting Netflix in May.
Debuting on May 3 is Jerry Seinfeld’s directorial debut, Unfrosted. The comedy legend works both sides of the camera for this humorous feature take on the birth of the Pop Tart. The movie is set in 1963 as breakfast cereal giants Kellogg’s and Post compete to become the first company to create a morning pastry. Melissa McCarthy, Jim Gaffigan and Amy Schumer also star, with Hugh Grant more than likely to steal the whole film with a turn as Tony the Tiger.

Bridgerton‘s third season may center around Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton), two characters fans have come to know over the years, but there’s a new member of the Ton who is raising questions, and that’s Daniel Francis‘s Lord Marcus Anderson. The mystery man plays a somewhat major role; according to his character description, Lord Marcus Anderson is a charismatic presence who lights up any room he enters, attracting the notice of certain matriarchs in the Ton and the ire of others. Much of the ire appears to come from none other than Lady Danbury (Adjoa Andoh), who is seen giving the man some major side-eye in one of the show’s recently-released moving character portraits. One character who isn’t giving the new arrival any side-eye? Bridgerton matriarch Violet (Ruth Gemmell), who seems to have an eye for the dashing man. But...

Netflix and Shondaland have released the official trailer and a set of new images for ‘Bridgerton’ Season 3. The trailer teases the steamy, friends-to-lovers romantic beginnings of Nicola Coughlan’s Penelope Featherington and Luke Newton’s Colin Bridgerton.
The eight-episode third season finds Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) having finally given up on her long-held crush on Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) after hearing his disparaging words about her last season. She has, however, decided it’s time to take a husband, preferably one who will provide her with enough independence to continue her double life as Lady Whistledown, far away from her mother and sisters.

But lacking in confidence, Penelope’s attempts on the marriage mart fail spectacularly.

Dear reader, does star-crossed romance ever go out of style? Apparently not, based on the rabid response to Netflix's ever-popular "Bridgerton" series that's now set to debut its third torrid season. By now, even those who don't watch the streaming phenomenon can't help but feel intimately familiar with the politics of the Ton, their fondness for extravagant parties, and the heartrending tendency for even the most different of friends -- and oftentimes even enemies -- to fall hopelessly in lust love with each other.
That's the main theme of the season 3 trailer, newly released by Netflix this morning. It's actually been quite some time since season 2 came and went in March of 2022, which centered on the roguish Viscount Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) and his fiery attraction to Kate Sheffield (Simone Ashley), and the familiar voiceover narration is keenly aware of that fact. Season 3 looks set to up the drama and...

‘Bridgerton’ Season 3 will include a total of eight episodes that are split into two parts. The first four episodes premiere on May 16, and the next four debut June 13.
“Bridgerton” is based on Julia Quinn’s best-selling romance book series. Season one featured the love story between Daphne and her husband, Simon, the Duke of Hastings (Regé-Jean Page). Season 2 followed an enemies-to-lovers theme as it tracked the romance between Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) and Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley).
The Shondaland series new episodes will shift the focus to Colin and Penelope. Netflix’s official season 3 synopsis reads: “Penelope enters Season 3 finally ready to give up her longtime crush on Colin. However, that...

The Emmys won’t burn for “Bridgerton” this year.
The third season of Netflix’s immensely popular period drama “Bridgerton” will be divided into two parts. Part 1, consisting of four episodes, will premiere on May 16, followed by the release of Part 2’s final four episodes on June 13. While the eligibility calendar for Emmy consideration runs from June 1 to May 31 each year,.a show must have a minimum of six episodes to compete in the top drama and comedy series races.
In the past, shows like “Bridgerton” could submit for awards consideration after the deadline thanks to the “hangover rule,” which would allow any series concluding its season after the May 31 deadline to still submit for Emmy nominations, as long as it was wrapped before the start of the nomination-round voting. We’ve seen shows like “The Handmaid’s Tale” take advantage of the rule, which was abolished by the Television Academy...

Daniel Francis, who starred in Steve McQueen’s Small Axe anthology series and is among the new faces joining the third season of Netflix hit Bridgerton, has been cast in upcoming horror thriller film Don’t Move from Sam Raimi’s Raimi Productions, Christian Mercuri’s Capstone Studios and Alex Lebovici’s Hammerstone Studios.
Led by Kelsey Asbille (Yellowstone, Fargo, Wind River) and Finn Wittrock (American Horror Story, The Big Short, La La Land), whose casting was announced by The Hollywood Reporter in Cannes, the movie follows a seasoned killer who injects a grieving woman with a paralytic agent. She must run, fight and hide before her body completely shuts down. THR understands that Francis, who also starred in Netflix’s Harlan Coben thriller Stay Close, will play a police officer in the feature, being directed by Adam Schindler and Brian Netto, who recently helmed episodes of Raimi’s horror anthology series 50 States of Fright.

“Bridgerton” fans are getting a first look at Season 3, released on Saturday during Netflix’s Tudum event.
“Bridgerton” Season 3 picks up with Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin Bridgerton’s (Luke Newton) love story. After finally giving up on her long-unrequited feelings for Colin once she heard his snide comments about her, Penelope has decided it’s time to take a husband — preferably one who will provide her with enough independence to continue her double life as Lady Whistledown, far away from her mother and sisters. But her attempts so far haven’t sprouted any fruitful potentials.
Colin, on the other hand, returns for Season 3 with a new swagger about him, but he’s disheartened to find that Penelope, the one person who always appreciated him, is giving him the cold shoulder. Desperate to mend their relationship, Colin offers his assistance to help Penelope build her confidence in order to...

I’ve long been a fan of the brilliant work of Vincent Cassel. The legendary actor has proven fantastic in films like Black Swan, Mesrine: Public Enemy No. 1, Mesrine: Killer Instinct, Irreversible, Eastern Promises, and so much more. And now, he takes on the role of the Stephen Hopkins-directed six-episode thriller Liaison. The upcoming series premieres on Apple TV this Friday and also features the terrific Eva Green, Daniel Francis, Lyna Dubarry, and more. And yes, the performances here are all terrific, and you can’t ask for a better couple than Green and Cassel to bring it all to life.
Interviewing Vincent Cassel is an absolute treat. While you may expect the actor to be intense, he is one of the warmest and most charming guys to talk with. Having had the pleasure of speaking to him in the past, I was thrilled to talk about his latest project.

"Can you trust this man... after what you did to him?" Oooh - what did she do?! Apple TV has revealed an official trailer for a thriller series titled Liaison, which will be available later this month on the streaming service. Something else? It stars Vincent Cassel and Eva Green as the main characters - former lovers caught in the middle of it all. Liaison is a high-stakes, contemporary thriller exploring how the mistakes of our past have the potential to destroy our future, mixing action with an unpredictable, multilayered plot - "espionage and political intrigue play out against a story of passionate and enduring love." Bridgerton Season 3 is officially in production.
Netflix and Shondaland announced today that its hit Regency-era drama has the cameras rolling.
The streamer also announced that Daniel Francis, Sam Phillips, and James Phoon will join the cast.
As previously reported, Bridgerton Season 3 focuses on the love story of Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton).
"Bridgerton is back for its third season and finds Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) has finally given up on her long-held crush on Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) after hearing his disparaging words about her last season," the official synopsis teases.
"She has, however, decided it’s time to take a husband, preferably one who will provide her with enough independence to continue her double life as Lady Whistledown, far away from her mother and sisters."

Production on “Bridgerton” Season 3 is underway and the cast is celebrating with a new video.
In the brand new clip, shared on social media on Wednesday, the cast members are filmed holding up two fingers. They then flip them around to reveal three fingers for Season 3, a move Viscount Anthony Bridgerton did (with three and four) when he playfully teased Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley) in Season 2 before dancing with her at the ball where they eventually admitted their love for each other.
And Jonathan Bailey, who is returning as the head of the Bridgerton family leads off the video. Nicola Coughlan, who plays Penelope Featherington, makes the official announcement, though, saying, “‘Bridgerton’ Season 3 filming has official begun.”
She then turns to Luke Newton (Colin Bridgerton) and asks, “You comin’ in?” inviting him into the carriage she’s sitting in.

Netflix‘s Bridgerton has added Daniel Francis (Stay Close), Sam Phillips (The Crown), and James Phoon (Wreck) to its Season 3 cast as filming begins in London.
Francis plays Marcus Anderson, a charismatic presence who lights up any room he enters, attracting the notice of certain matriarchs in the town — and the ire of others. Phillips plays Lord Debling, a genial lord with unusual interests. But with wealth and a noble title to back up his eccentricities, he’ll have no shortage of interest from young ladies this season. Phoon plays Harry Dankworth; what he lacks in wit and intelligence, he more than makes up for with serious good looks.
