- Dr. Weider was awarded the C.M.(Member of the Order of Canada) on June 25, 1975 and the O.C. (Officer of the Order of Canada) on October 5, 2006 for his services to sports in Canada.
- Younger brother of Joe Weider.
- Along with older brother Joe Weider, was co-founder of the International Federation of Bodybuilders, in 1946. He served as its first President (later named to be President for Life), serving in that capacity from their headquarters in Montreal from 1946-2006; when he voluntarily retired and stepped down.
- Was enshrined along his brother, Joe, in 2006 by the National Fitness Hall of Fame in honor of his lifelong campaign for physical fitness and for his co-founding of the International Federation of Bodybuilders (I.F.B.B.); also with older brother, Joe Weider. (see nationalfitnessmuseum.com).
