The end of Claws is here.
The highly-anticipated fourth and final season of TNT's unapologetically bold series will premiere on Sunday, December 26 at 9:00pm Et/Pt, it was announced today at the Television Critics Association (TCA) Summer Press Tour.
News of the final season premiere date comes over two years since Claws Season 3 wrapped.
The third season of "Claws" ranked as a top 10 cable drama in 2019.
The longer-than-usual wait between seasons is due to the Covid-19 pandemic, which brought production to a grinding halt last year.
TNT has announced an early sneak of the final season's first episode will air on December 17th during TBS' weekly talk show series, Friday Night Vibes, hosted by Tiffany Haddish with co-host Deon Cole.
As longtime fans of Claws, Haddish and Cole will catch up with the cast as they take a trip down memory lane sharing their favorite moments from the first three seasons.

Claws may be rearing its final chapter, but the TNT dramedy will go out with a bang, TBS/TNT/truTV boss Brett Weitz revealed on Wednesday.
“The Claws ending is fulfilling as an ending of a series as you could want. It’s exactly what Desna and her band would want you to see – a little bit of crazy, a lot of fun and the exhilarating ending to a great series run,” he said during a press call ahead of WarnerMedia’s upfront presentation.
The series, which debuted in 2017, follows Niecy Nash’s Desna Simms, who, alongside her crew of manicurists from the Nail Artisans of Manatee County salon, rises to power in the crime world to claim her share of cash and respect. Claws also stars Carrie Preston, Judy Reyes, Karrueche Tran, Jenn Lyon, Kevin Rankin, Jason Antoon, Harold Perrineau and Dean Norris.

Exclusive: TNT dramedy Claws has paused filming its fourth and final season for the next 14 days due to a team member testing positive for Covid-19. According to sources, the asymptomatic diagnosis was confirmed as a result of required and ongoing testing for all employees on productions of Warner Bros. TV, the studio behind Claws. The decision on a two-week shutdown was made out of abundance of caution.
Production on Season 4 of Claws was well underway in New Orleans when all Hollywood production was halted in March amid the growing coronavirus pandemic. Filming recently resumed and is slated to wrap in December.
Since its launch in 2017, Claws has won critical praise and a loyal fan base. It follows Niecy Nash’s Desna Simms, who, alongside her crew of manicurists from the Nail Artisans of Manatee County salon, rises to power in the crime world to claim her share of cash and respect.

It’s only Tuesday, but longtime producing partners Rashida Jones and partner Will McCormack are already having quite the eventful week. This morning, it was announced that the TNT series “Claws” — executive produced by the duo’s Le Train Train production company — was renewed for its fourth and final season. But apparently where one show ends, another begins, as Variety reported that AMC has just picked up a new pilot executive-produced by the pair — the quite pointedly titled “Kevin Can Go F— Himself” — to series.
Created by Eliot Lawrence (“Welcome to Me”) with Sharon Lee Watson (“Chicago P.D.”) and Emily Silver (“Bones”) functioning as showrunners, the flamboyant and sometimes surreal “Claws” originally premiered in June 2017 and stars Emmy nominee Niecy Nash as Desna Simms, an entrepreneur and leader of a crew of strip mall nail technicians-turned-mobsters in the trashy coastal Florida town of Palmetto (aka “Palmghetto”). Despite being forced to take a week off due to Election Day in the United States, The Flash shows no signs of slowing down when it returns in two weeks as evidenced by this newly released extended trailer. If the episode itself is even half as intriguing as this footage, it should prove to be well worth the wait.
It goes without saying that all eyes have been affixed to Wally West this season, especially after we got teased with his Kid Flash persona on the “Flashpoint” episode. We can only hope that these vivid dreams he will have lead to him donning the red and yellow in this particular timeline sooner rather than later. And considering that Dr. Alchemy looks to be heavily involved in the next installment, that may be a real possibility because he has somehow been restoring powers to those who possessed them in the world of “Flashpoint.

In the Flashpoint timeline, Wally West was Kid-Flash. However, ever since Barry Allen set things right, he’s gone back to simply wishing he has superpowers. Well, in next week’s episode of The Flash, the youngster may be about to get his wish, but it looks like it will be thanks to the villainous Dr. Alchemy based on the images above.
The mysterious big bad of season 3 somehow has the power to restore the abilities and memories of those who were metahumans in Flashpoint, but he and The Rival were actually responsible for mortally wounding Wally, so whether or not he’ll be willing to help him become a speedster is hard to say. In fact, it appears as if Wally is going to help the Ccpd and his father capture Alchemy, though with The Flash nowhere to be seen during that confrontation, it may be a mistake.

The CW has released a first look at next week's episode of The Flash, and as you can see, it appears as if Wally West's transformation into Kid-Flash will be taking centre stage here. Whether or not it will actually happen isn't made clear here, though it definitely appears as if the youngster is cracking up after having flashbacks to his time as a speedster in the Flashpoint timeline (good going, Barry). What did you think of tonight's episode of The Flash? Are you hoping Wally becomes Kid-Flash next week? As always, be sure to weigh in with your thoughts on all that and more in the usual place. When Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) starts having dreams about being Kid Flash, Barry (Grant Gustin) realizes he has to tell Wally, Iris (Candice Patton) and Joe (Jesse L. In the season 3 premiere of The Flash, the Flashpoint timeline introduced us to Kid Flash. However, after Wally West was mortally wounded by The Rival, Barry Allen raced back in time and (mostly) set things right. As a result, Wally no longer has powers, something he’s struggled to accept despite not knowing about his alternate life.
That may all be about to change though as this newly released synopsis for the upcoming sixth episode reveals that the youngster starts having flashbacks to his time as Kid Flash. Others who have suffered the same thing wound up tracking down the villainous Dr. Alchemy, shedding (literally) their skin, and regaining their memories and powers. Will Wally be next? It certainly sounds like things are heading in that direction after this particular episode of The Flash (titled “Shade”).
