Ms. Divine

Ms Divine is a performer who creates, directs and produces a variety of sketch films. This multifaceted actress plays all the roles (male or female) in her films. Unlike most sketch comedies, her films follow an intriguing story line and do not rely solely on parody and gimmicks to provoke laughter from the audience. Instead, she employs cartoon elements and outrageous circumstances that are woven into a provocative story. Her clever video editing and directing make her characters interact with each other almost as if different people were playing them. Some of her most acclaimed works include, A Most Particularly Peculiar Bank Heist (2005), Dancing Girl, A Chlorophyll Filled Romance and The Apartment Inspector.

Currently, Divine produces a weekly television variety show with shorter sketches including the cult favorite, "Adventures of Scottish Girl", the horror/comedy series "Diary of Anastasia" and the bizarre, "The Real Me".

The show also occasionally features interviews with musicians such as Gary Numan, Mark Mothersbaugh and Gerald Casale of Devo, Jean-Luc de Meyer and Patrick Codenys of Front 242 to directors such as Lloyd Kaufman. As a true independent artist, she markets her work through alternative media, her website, and custom DVD packages. Ms Divine churns out more and more of her sketch films to satisfy the hunger of her growing legion of international fans. Her favorite cartoon is The Pink Panther. Her prime motivation is to enrich this world with real comedy.
