Watch the Cold Case: The Tylenol Murders Documentary First Look and Trailer
Image
In 1982, at least seven people in Chicago died completely unexpectedly. The common thread that tied their mysterious deaths shocked the nation: They’d all taken Extra Strength Tylenol laced with cyanide. News of the wide circulation of these lethal Tylenol capsules sparked a panic across the country and one of the largest criminal investigations in US history.

The three-part documentary series Cold Case: The Tylenol Murders is the latest installment in the Cold Case franchise, which began with 2024’s exploration into the death of JonBenét Ramsey. The Tylenol Murders reexamines the case that turned the ubiquitous over-the-counter drug into a murderous threat — and fundamentally called into question the blind faith many have in the world’s most trusted brands. Was it a maniacal killer who acted alone or a larger, potentially more unsettling conspiracy and cover-up?

From directors Yotam Guendelman and Ari Pines and executive producer...

Katy Perry: Space Trip Backlash From the ‘Unhinged and Unhealed’ Has ‘Bruised’ Me
Image
Katy Perry recently made history when she joined an all-female Blue Origin space mission early in April 2025. Although the journey was brief—lasting only 11 minutes—her post-flight reactions and the flight being billed as a feminist milestone ended up causing considerable controversy.

Even celebrities did not hold back from criticizing the singer or the mission, labeling it all a tone-deaf PR stunt. Perry, who is currently on her Lifetime tour, addressed the backlash, admitting that the backlash has left her battered and bruised.

Katy Perry joined five other women on Jeff Bezos’s Blue Origin rocket on a trip to space. Although the trip only lasted 11 minutes and took its fliers more than 62 miles (100 km) above Earth, the journey is being labeled as historic among feminist circles due...

John Cena and Idris Elba Are 'Heads of State' in First Trailer For Prime Video's New Action-Comedy
Image
It's been a long time since the action-comedy movie that promised to reunite John Cena (Jackpot!) and Idris Elba (Hijack) was first announced. The good news for fans of both actors is that the wait is almost over. Today, Prime Video finally decided to unveil a trailer for Heads of State, which provides some insights into the story and reveals some of its characters. The streamer also announced a release date: it debuts on July 2, just in time for Independence Day.

The timing of the release is not random. In the story, Cena plays Will Derringer, the President of the United States, and Elba plays UK Prime Minister Sam Clarke. The two leaders have a very public feud, which is a huge problem for the nations' relationship. Their connection doesn't get any better when they are forced to spend time together during a diplomatic event. However, they need to put...

Netflix Doubles Down On ‘Cold Case’ True-Crime Strand With Tylenol Murders Series
Image
Exclusive: Netflix is expanding another one of its non-fiction strands.

The streamer has ordered a three-part documentary series about the Tylenol murders, which saw at least seven people die in the early 1980s in Chicago as a result of ingesting cyanide-laced Tylenol capsules.

The Tylenol Murders is part of the Cold Case franchise, which Netflix launched last year with Cold Case: Who Killed JonBenét Ramsey, which reexamined the killing of the six year old from Colorado.

That series came from director and producer Joe Berlinger, who will produce Cold Case: The Tylenol Murders. It will be directed by Yotam Guendelman and Ari Pines, who directed Israeli true-crime series Shadow of Truth, which subsequently aired on Netflix.

The Cold Case strand is similar to its Turning Point franchise, which includes three series – Turning Point: The Bomb and the Cold War, Turning Point: 9/11 and the War on Terror and Turning Point: The Vietnam War,...

The Real-Life Crime That Inspired Nicolas Cage's Longlegs
Image
Osgood Perkins' 2024 horror thriller "Longlegs" is like watching three or four episodes of "The X-Files" simultaneously. The film's protagonist, FBI Agent Lee Harker (Maika Monroe), has vague psychic powers that she is using to apprehend a mysterious serial killer. The killer, nicknamed Longlegs (Nicolas Cage), has a very peculiar M.O. Every so often, a local family will be violently murdered by one of its members, and the murderer will then take their own life. A note will then be found at the crime scene, written in Longlegs' handwriting, taking credit for the killing. Longlegs also seems to target families with nine-year-old girls who were born on or around the 14th of the month.

As the film progresses, other eerie clues arise. Harker finds a life-size child doll in an attic, and it has a mysterious metal orb hidden inside. What is going on? Later on, viewers will learn that...

John Ramsey Explains Why JonBenét’s Murder Could Be Linked to Another Cold Case
Image
John Ramsey is doubling down on the theory that his daughter JonBenét Ramsey‘s murder could be connected to the same person responsible for a 1997 assault on a girl who attended the same dance studio as JonBenét. Speaking to Fox News Digital, John pointed to a masked intruder who snuck into a home in Boulder, Colorado, nine months after JonBenét’s murder and attempted to rape a 12-year-old girl. John claims the police “blew it off” at the time, saying the two cases weren’t connected. “Well, I think there’s a very strong indication that there possibly is a connection,” John told the outlet. “The police blew it off in the beginning and, to my knowledge, never looked at that as an option. The police chief at that time said, ‘Well, it’s not the same because that little girl in the second incident was not murdered.’ That’s...

This 1982 Unsolved Case Deserves A Look After Netflix's JonBenét Ramsey Series
Image
The success of Cold Case: Who Killed JonBenét Ramsey could allow interest and attention towards another similar unsolved case that happened a decade prior. The Netflix three-part docuseries explores one of the most infamous murder cases in American history and includes archival footage and interviews from investigators and family murders. In spite of multiple investigations and conspiracies, the killer of JonBenét Ramsey was never found.

14 years before the true case of JonBenét Ramsey, another similar case took place in Utah, where a young girl, Rachael Runyan, was abducted and murdered. The case has become known as one of Utah's most notorious crimes and led to changes in legal legislation regarding child abduction in the United States. The case of Rachael Runyan holds similarities to JonBenét Ramsey's and deserves a closer look after the Netflix series.

JonBenét Ramsey’s murder gets stunning update after viral Netflix documentary
Image
The unsolved murder of JonBenét Ramsey has taken a dramatic turn after the release of Netflix’s viral documentary, Cold Case: Who Killed JonBenét Ramsey.

The three-part series, which delves into the tragic 1996 killing of the six-year-old beauty queen, has reignited public interest.

This prompted fresh developments in the nearly three-decade-old investigation.

The Boulder Police Department, criticized for handling the initial case, has committed to renewed efforts under newly appointed Police Chief Steve Redfearn.

Since assuming his role in early 2024, Redfearn has prioritized solving the high-profile cold case, which has long been a black mark on the department.

“We are committed to following every lead, working with DNA experts, and partnering with law enforcement across the country,” Redfearn said in a recent statement, per The New York Post.

“The killing of JonBenét was an unspeakable crime, and this tragedy has never left our hearts.”

JonBenét Ramsey’s murder could be solved in 2025

JonBenét Ramsey’s Father Says There’s a “Really Good Chance” Her Murder Could Be Solved
Image
JonBenét Ramsey’s father, who for some time in the 1990s was a key suspect in the sensational murder of the child beauty queen that captivated the nation, still believes that the case is solvable with new technology, he said on Tuesday.

John Ramsey spoke out about the case on News Nation, telling anchor Cecilia Vega that groundbreaking technology that allows detectives to analyze DNA evidence — which was not available in the aftermath of the Dec. 25, 1996, killing of JonBenét — will be the key to catching the murderer.

“I think they can,” he said, agreeing with Vega that the case, still in the hands of the Boulder Police Department, is solvable. “If they will do what we think is important and that uses the latest DNA technology, collaborate with these labs that are out there that have that capability, and then use the familial genealogy research — which is so successful in...

Everything New We Learned from ‘Cold Case: Who Killed JonBenet Ramsey’
Image
True-crime fan or not, the infamously unsolved murder of JonBenét Ramsey still has everyone scratching their heads 30 years later. Despite scandalous theories of sexual abuse, maternal fits of rage, and cover-ups, no one truly knows the culprit behind the 6-year-old beauty pageant queen's brutal death on December 26, 1996. Netflix's latest docuseries Cold Case: Who Killed JonBenét Ramsey revisits the mysterious crime with fresh eyes and a new hope for justice.

Without any recent developments in the case and its evidence being endlessly examined over the years, the show offers audiences a perspective shift. Acclaimed director Joe Berlinger, known for killer documentaries like the Paradise Lost series, drops external influences and focuses on the facts. He gives a redeeming voice of reason to JonBenét's father, John Ramsey, her mother Patsy, who passed away in 2006 from cancer, and her brother Burke, who was only eight at the time of the crime, against...

Geraldo Rivera Apologizes to John Ramsey for 1997 Mock Trial of JonBenét Ramsey Case on His Talk Show
Image
Geraldo Rivera is taking partial accountability for the role he played in bolstering public suspicion that John and Patsy Ramsey were responsible for the 1996 murder of their 6-year-old daughter, JonBenét.

John and Rivera appeared live together, via Zoom, on Monday night for a NewsNation segment facilitated by host Chris Cuomo (below) following the Nov. 25 release of the three-part Netflix docuseries Cold Case: Who Killed JonBenét Ramsey. Episode two of Joe Berlinger’s docuseries revisited the memorable mock trial that played out on The Geraldo Rivera Show in 1997, where Rivera asked a volunteer jury of six men and women to “rule” on the likelihood that John and/or Patsy allegedly murdered their daughter. Testimonies pointed to what were deemed to be sexually suggestive photos and videos of JonBenét as unsubstantiated proof that she was an abused child, resulting in a mock verdict that found Patsy liable for her death.

Rivera, in...

JonBenét Ramsey Doc Director Responds to Boulder Police Statement: “The Family Is Owed Communication” About DNA Tests (Exclusive)
Image
One week after the release of Netflix’s Cold Case: Who Killed JonBenét Ramsey docuseries, the Boulder Police Department is responding to claims that it failed to properly investigate the 1996 murder of the 6-year-old pageant queen that remains unsolved nearly 30 years later.

“The killing of JonBenét was an unspeakable crime and this tragedy has never left our hearts,” Boulder Police Chief Steve Redfearn said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter via Boulder Police Department Public Information Officer Dionne Waugh. “We are committed to following up on every lead and we are continuing to work with DNA experts and our law enforcement partners around the country until this tragic case is solved. This investigation will always be a priority for the Boulder Police Department.”

Doubling down on that statement, Waugh added in the email to THR, “The assertion that there is viable evidence and leads we are not pursuing — to...

How Did JonBenét Ramsey’s Mother Patsy Ramsey Die? All You Need to Know About the Ramsey Family
Image
Nearly three decades ago, the world came across the devastating news of the death of the child beauty queen JonBenét Ramsey at the age of only 6. After seven hours after her being reported missing, her body was found in the basement of her home at 755, 15th Street in Boulder, Colorado. That was when the world came crashing down on the Ramsey family.

Since then, there has been a lot of debate on how this case, which was later ruled out to be a homicide, took place. But more spotlight was on the child beauty queen’s parents, American beauty pageant winner Patricia Ann Ramsey aka Patsy Ramsey, and businessman John Ramsey. ‘Who Killed JonBenét Ramsey’ Documentarian Was Motivated by Desire to Clear Family Name

Cold Case: Who Killed JonBenét Ramsey isn’t so much about proving who is responsible for the death of the 6-year-old beauty pageant winner who was found strangled in the basement of her Boulder, Colorado, family home on Dec. 26, 1996, as it is showing who isn’t: her parents, Patsy and John Bennett Ramsey, and her older brother, Burke Ramsey.

“A lot of shows try to play both sides of the fence, and although we clearly in episode one talk about the case against them, we then in episode two show what we really think is going on,” executive producer and Oscar-nominated director Joe Berlinger tells The Hollywood Reporter of the three-part Netflix docuseries, now streaming. “I think we can solve the case. I want to give that family a measure of justice.”

Joe Berlinger Believes New Netflix Series Can Solve The Crime Of JonBenét Ramsey’s Murder

Who killed JonBenét Ramsey? For decades that answer has eluded everyone, but Netflix is hoping to go back to the beginning and draw the threads that were previously missed while the authorities worked to pin JonBenét’s murder on her family.

Here’s everything you can expect from the upcoming series, “The Cold Case: Who Killed JonBenét Ramsay.”

Everyone Who Contributed To Making The Netflix Documentary

It was the day after Christmas and the Ramseys would wake up to a chilling truth. Their daughter had been kidnapped and the culprit had left a ransom note.

At least that was what they initially believed. That is until they found the body of their daughter lying dead in the basement.

It appeared that the culprit had sexually assaulted the beauty queen before killing her. And since all this seemed to happen in the safety of her parents’ house, the authorities were ready...

Cold Case: Who Killed JonBenét Ramsey Review – A Deep Dive into the Mystery
Image
On December 25, 1996, JonBenét Ramsey, six, was discovered dead in the basement of her family’s Boulder, Colorado, home. The finding occurred just hours after her parents reported her missing, sparking a high-profile inquiry. JonBenét, a young beauty queen, was brutally murdered, with evidence indicating strangling and blunt force trauma.

The initial police response, however, was disorganized—friends and family were permitted to explore the premises, potentially jeopardizing critical evidence. Despite years of investigation, the case remains unsolved, and theories about her death continue to circulate.

Mistakes were made during the investigation into JonBenét’s death. Police did not secure the crime scene, which allowed potential evidence to be tampered with. Suspicion rapidly fell on her parents, John and Patsy Ramsey.

Still, without substantial evidence, theories fluctuated between family conspiracy and an unknown invader. The lack of definitive forensic evidence and the media frenzy exacerbated the mystery and left more questions than answers.
