After many years in development hell, a live-action adaptation of the Halo video game franchise finally made its way out into the world as a Paramount+ streaming series back in 2022, with the first episode of the show quickly becoming Paramount+’s most-watched premiere. But while the TV series is returning for a second season, which is scheduled to begin streaming on February 8th, the first season wasn’t met with overwhelming positivity, as many fans of the video game source material were disappointed by some of the choices made for the adaptation. Not even star Pablo Schreiber, who plays the character Master Chief on the show, was entirely happy with that first season. Speaking with SFX Magazine, Schreiber revealed there was even one element that he felt was a huge mistake: the romantic storyline with Master Chief and Makee (Charlie Murphy), which even included a sex scene.

"Sometimes events are beyond our control. And in those moments, we save what we can." Paramount+ has unveiled the full official trailer for Season 2 of the live-action Halo series on Paramount+. In Season 2, Master Chief John-117 leads his team of elite Spartans against the alien threat known as the Covenant. As humanity's best hope for winning the war, John-117 discovers a deep connection to a mysterious alien structure with the key to humankind's salvation, or its destruction — the Halo. Paramount+’s two-minute official trailer for the sci-fi thriller Halo teases that when events spiral out of control, we save what we can. “Looking at your faces, I do not see defeat and I do not see surrender,” says Captain Jacob Keyes (Danny Sapani). Master Chief and the Spartans have heroes on their side, while the Covenant does not.
Pablo Schreiber (American Gods) returns to lead the video game-inspired series as Master Chief, Spartan-117, with Natascha McElhone (Californication) back as Dr. Halsey. Returning cast members include Jen Taylor, Bokeem Woodbine (Fargo), Shabana Azmi (Fire), Natasha Culzac (The Witcher), Olive Gray (Half Moon Investigations), and Yerin Ha (Reef Break). The "Halo" season 2 trailer has arrived, and it brings with it the return of Master Chief who is now facing a new, familiar threat to those who played the games: The Covenant. Indeed, this season will see the sword-wielding aliens wreaking havoc. It appears that the folks at Paramount+ spared no expense in crafting the second season of this show, but will that be enough to turn it into the series everyone hoped it would be in the first place?
This trailer is very moody and overflowing with gloomy action. It's got a "Starship Troopers" vibe to it at times, just without all of the vibrant color and blatant political commentary. We're also, once again, seeing Master Chief without his helmet off an awful lot. Love it or hate it, that element of the show remains in place. It's very cinematic and a lot of the visual effects look big-screen worthy.

Paramount+ revealed the official trailer for Halo‘s second season, which has Pablo Schreiber returning as Master Chief John-117 as he leads a team of elite Spartans against the alien threat known as the Covenant.
The new season has showrunner David Wiener (Brave New World) taking over for last season’s Steven Kane, who oversaw physical production on the first season in Budapest, and Kyle Killen, who supervised writing and production in the United States.
The new footage shows plenty of space action, though it appears a bit dim and murky (at least, in this trailer):
Wiener, Schreiber and newcast member Joseph Morgan had unveiled the first new footage for season two at Ccxp in São Paulo in December.

“Halo” Season 2 is almost here, and it looks like Master Chief has his work cut out for him.
Paramount+ announced Saturday that the second season of the video game-based series will premiere on Feb. 8, sharing a dramatic teaser trailer. Instrumental music scores a rousing speech as our heroes embark on a doomed mission.
“You deserve the truth,” the trailer’s rousing speech begins. “The enemy is at our gates. Their numbers are overwhelming. Any Marine who makes this stand with us will not survive the day.”
But, there’s a reason for that sacrifice: “For every moment we hold the enemy at bay, more innocent people can escape. When they do, they will go forth and tell the story that you write today. You will be remembered.”
The word “remembered” echoes over the rest of the trailer as we see more action, including human-alien physical combat.

Jim Wiseman’s Sky original documentary “Williams and Mansell: Red 5” is set for a debut on Sky Documentaries and Now on July 8. Featuring some of the biggest names in F1, it follows Nigel Mansell and the Williams Racing team’s rise to fame told through the eyes of his team, family and drivers including Jenson Button, Damon Hill and Karun Chandhok.
Mansell grew up in England in the 1960s, dreaming of becoming a professional race car driver, despite not having the financial means for it, while Frank Williams was realizing his own dream at the company he founded, Williams Grand Prix Engineering. The two joined forces, and after years of trying to win together, Mansell left to join Ferrari and then ultimately retired from racing after years of ups and downs, without ever winning the Formula One Drivers’ Championship. But seemingly overnight, he came out of retirement and re-joined Williams Racing.

The Master Chief is back and -- stop me if you've heard this before -- he's ready to finish the fight. After a sprawling opening season introduced diehard gamers and casual viewers alike to the Paramount+ live-action take on "Halo," the sci-fi series is set to make its return for a second go-around depicting the epic war between 26th century humanity and the fearsome conglomerate of alien species known as the Covenant.
Originally brought to life in the critically-acclaimed and immensely popular "Halo" video game series, and the subject of decades of fevered demands to translate such material to the big screen, the valuable IP has instead found its home on streaming with a much more indirect approach than fans may have expected. Far from an exact, beat-for-beat adaptation of "Combat Evolved" or any other story set in the "Halo" universe, the Paramount+ series has largely forged its own original,...

After languishing in development for years, the immensely popular “Halo” gaming franchise made the giant leap to streaming television earlier this year, exceeding expectations by shattering records and satiating millions of fans worldwide, who were eager to revisit their beloved characters and storylines.
“As a fan of the series, and having played the games for the last 20 years, it’s an incredibly daunting task to be put into the position of visual effects supervisor,” admits Dominic Remane, who was tasked with creating the expansive galaxy inhabited by the warring factions at the center of the “Halo” story with his army of visual artisans and technicians. It's hard to believe that the Halo Season 1 finale is just one day away.
Halo Season 1 Episode 9 focuses on the aftermath of Halo Season 1 Episode 8, which put Halsey's true motives on full display.
There has been much debate about whether the person who took John from his home all those years ago was a villain or someone being told what to do.
TV Fanatic scored an exclusive look at the finale via a 90-second clip, and it's as intense as you'd expect.
Halsey is up to no good, trying to escape from Reach after her wild plan backfired.
Kai, who has slowly been understanding that Halsey's motives are not good, is giving a good chase.
The two exchange jabs, but tragedy strikes when the ship they are on crashes, leaving John and the others looking at a burning wreck.
Did we just witness the demise of both Halsey and Kai?...

Kwan's quest for revenge has put her in some dangerous scenarios throughout Halo Season 1.
On Halo Season 1 Episode 7, titled "Inheritance," Kwan’s journey to uncover her family’s “true purpose” takes her deep into the deserts of Madrigal.
TV Fanatic scored an exclusive first look at what is sure to be a big installment for Kwan.
We've witnessed the youngster go through several harrowing encounters throughout the initial episodes of the series, and hopefully, she'll get the answers she requires.
Unfortunately, the beginning of the clip makes it look like Kwan is a prisoner.
Her aim will be to get all of the answers and prepare for the fight ahead.
Kwan obviously wants revenge, but a big part of her mission will be to learn the true extent of her father's connection to the people deep in the desert.
We also know that Vishner wants Kwan dead, making things considerably more cutthroat.
