- For his part in "Lotto Tvillingerne" (Lotto Twins), Per had to be shaven bald, and get up at 3 a.m. for 4 hours of makeup. In most scenes he was tied closely to his co-actor with a tight corset, and Per had to carry the shorter 70 kilo actor with his back. On top of this strain Pers back was damaged in an accident a few years earlier, so physical therapy was administered to his back each night. In the same production Per was bitten by a race horse and had to run on a sprained foot. He was on crutches between takes. A camera man broke his arm during shooting of the race boat scene, where a camera boat hit the race boat with the actors.
- Has "cheated death" many times, including but not limited to: 3 times revived as a child before the age of 7. Around the age of 10 he almost drowned in a 12" (4 meter) deep well with liquid manure, and had to pull himself up by nettles and thorn-bushes. Was narrowly missed by a speeding tank during a military exercise. Was unconscious in -21 degrees Celcius (minus 6 F) after an accident, but luckily woke up long enough to get inside before passing out again for 17 hours.
- Has published a major article on HIV in a reputable academic journal.
- Funny how the Danish saying goes "don't sell the skin until you shot the bear". It makes sense not to spend money you haven't earned yet, or plan from a job you still didn't get, etc. But it would probably be better for the bear not to shoot it, until you know there is a buyer for the skin.
