(1968) He played on Muddy Waters's album, "Electric Mud," for Chess Records. He toured with Aretha Franklin, Gene Ammons, and Sonny Stitt. He played with Philip Cohran and the Artistic Ensemble on the album, "The Malcolm X Memorial."
(1965) He was working in Chicago nightclubs when he was hired by Chess Records as a studio band guitarist. He played on Fontella's Bass Top 10 hit, "Rescue Me;" and on Chess Sessions with Etta James, Little Milton, and others. He also played on Motown records with the Four Tops and the Marvelettes.
